The acting is GREAT!!! I really like the young lady who played the main character. I've seen her in a few movies and it's always great to see a fresh face on the screen. Her love interest is a good actor in his own right as well. I'm glad that they went with other actors for this film. I get tired of seeing the same actors over and over again.

I didn't know what to expect of this movie, since I cou remember the highlights from when it was in the theatre. I was very impressed and really like the challenge of trying to be something for someone but making the change of life for yourself. But to know humans can change remember the good, be able to apologize and move forward

I love the dvd and am quite happy with it. I didn't like though how they switched my purchase to another store without telling me that prior. I'm expecting to pick up from 23 then had to go all the 44 street store. Paid a difference in taxes too. While I love Beyond The Lights pick up in store shouldn't be a headache.

I really enjoyed the movie and the whole cast ensemble. It was great seeing Minnie Driver in another movie since Good Will Hunting. Oh, and I can't forget to mention how much I really enjoyed the music from the movie. I want the soundtrack actually.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw shines brightly in this criminally under-seen film from 2014. Strong performances, wonderful music, and a beautiful romance and character drama make this an easy recommendation.

I watched it with my gf in the theaters and have to say that as a musician... I enjoyed it and it provided an insight of what happens behind the glitz and glam. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

The special thing about this movie was the music. The movie itself was your typical decent love story. It had some cheesy parts, but not a full movies' worth of cheesiness. I liked it.
