Great upgrade from Ring

The short:
It works with the older modules.
The model without the new sync module doesn't come with the wedge.
The new wide angle view takes some getting use to.

My Ring brand doorbell has not worked properly after a update and they wouldn't back their product. So I finally decided to make the switch to the blink h2t doorbell and I can hear my doorbell ring again!
The installation of the device and setup in the app was easy. My only gripes with this smart doorbell is that the motion zone can't be finely filtered with smaller boxes and the one you can draw with your fingers can't be positioned between lines. Another is that fishbowl camera view, it's definitely a head to toe but the image might be too stretched. I also hope in the near future they make a spacer available so I can position my doorbell away from my brick wall and I can get more view in my fishbowl.

Our old Gen1 doorbell was beat up and fuzzy from wear and tear. OMG, get this doorbell. Better picture than the old one (even when the old was new) and more field of view. Having this doorbell eliminated the need for our porch camera. You can see the person at the door head to toe.

Value for Money: For a budget-friendly smart doorbell, the Gen 2 is very compelling. The video improvements and person detection are solid upgrades, especially relative to its cost.
• Use Case Fit: It works best for someone who:
1. Wants a wide field of view to catch people and packages.
2. Is okay being dependent on Blink’s cloud plan.
3. Has moderate motion at the doorstep (not constant traffic) to preserve battery life.
4. Already uses or is okay adding a Sync Module Core.

For motion alert problems, adjust your motion sensitivity settings and detection zones in the Blink app. Ensure motion detection is enabled and your device has adequate power, as low batteries can affect performance. Verify notification settings are properly configured on both the app and your phone. Try restarting your Sync Module by unplugging it for 30 seconds.
