Purchased this as our first sound system. We decided to pay a little more for quality and something that we will keep long-term, rather than go for a less expensive product that will need to be upgraded soon. The sound on this system is great quality and nothing else in the store compared to the clarity of the sound. It feels like you are in a movie theater or are part of the action in a movie. You can control the bass on the back of the acoustimass module to get the level you desire. Setup took less than 10 minutes and we are very happy with the quality of the product.

Bose has always provided a superior sound. This system is no different. The speakers are so tiny, you can place them anywhere. They have absolute clarity and spectacular sound. And the sub provides an incredible low end rumble. I have never been more satisfied with a home theater sound system!

I was looking for a sound system that sounded good, was affordable, was easy to operate, & looked good. First, I looked at 5.1 surround sound systems. The ones I liked were more than I wanted to spend. The receivers were confusing to operate, & with all the components had more clutter than I wanted. Next, I looked at powered systems which included sound bars with subwoofers. I didn't like the appearance of the sound bar. I finally looked at the Bose Cinemate GS II. After comparing them to other systems, they seemed to be what I was looking for. While the Bose don't have a WOW factor, they do what they say they'll do. Turn them on and they work. The sound is far better than the TV speakers. They don't have 5.1 surround sound, but they do have effects that mimic surround sound.To get sound that is noticeably better, I'd have to spend at least twice as much. Then, I'd be looking at sound bars or more speakers and maybe a receiver, not to mention, more clutter. These speakers are also barely noticeable next to my big flat screen. They look like they should be there. I've had them for about a month and couldn't be happier. Movies and sports sound great. The Bose delivers great sound for the price, are incredibly easy to operate, and look great.

This sound system is amazing! The sounds are crystal clear! With my old system I could hear loud noises with little to no sound on voices! With the Bose I'm able to hear everything at a perfect sound! If you want an amazing sound this is what you want! The bass is on this is amazing! The two speaker produce so much sound! Great for video gamers as well because you can hear a opponent behind you or coming towards you! Must have for any gamer, movie enthusiast, or just watching everyday shows it changes everything!

Love the great sound you get without the hassle of rear speakers. Clear sound and massive bass for movies. Super easy set up. Would purchase again if I needed another sound system. Great universal remote as well.

This is a great speaker system that doesn't have too much going on. You get movie theater quality sound out of 2 speakers and a subwoofer. So convenient because you don't have to worry about clutter and a lot of wires as these speakers are simple and easy to setup. They are pricey but you get what you pay for and Bose doesn't disappoint.

This speaker system is a little pricey, but hey it's BOSE! I have always wanted a BOSE system and I was due to replace my surround receiver and speakers. I decided I did not want to mess with setting up a receiver and getting all new speakers as that is just not as important to me now. I like how easy it was to setup and it really sounds great with movies or music. My living rooms is probably 20x30 or so, so it is probably about the right size. Might not be that great for bigger rooms. I am happy!

This Bose system is very good. It was extremely easy to use and came with everything needed (speaker wire also) to get up and running. The remote is also pretty awesome also. It replaces all existing remotes, including Directv remote. The price was cheap as well. The only thing I dislike is the fact that there isn't a indicator or display of any kind that lets you know where the volume is. At first this bothered me some but I am getting use to it. When you really think about it you should not need this feature because you should go off of noise and not just set it to a number anyway.

Bought this system for my boyfriend. We'd been looking at it for a couple months so when I saw the $200 price drop I couldn't resist. He loves the sound; the bass can shake the room if you get it too loud. Our only problem was the universal remote wouldn't sink up with Dish using any of the codes but the Dish remote quickly learned the Bose so one remote is still all that's required.

This system was puchased to replace an older Bose unit that we had for years. We looked at other brands but the quality and price of the Bose Home Entertainment System that we bought surpassed the others. Very easy to connect to other devices and we had it up in running in no time. Highly recommended product if you want a great sounding system and a very reasonable price!!

I got this sound system finally and it didn't disappoint! Was able to set it up in about 15 min and I can even use the Bose remote with my TV, Directv box, and BluRay player. The only thing it cannot control is my Apple TV box. I wish the speakers were wireless, have to see the cables lying there.

These speakers are my second pair; first one I gifted to my parents. I just love this speaker set. So rich sound, crisp and clear. First time I heard them, I realized that while watching Netflix, there are some sounds which I never realized while hearing from just TV. Low's, Mid and High notes, all are very clear, kind of perfect sound reproduction. I would recommend any day. There is newer version which essentially same speaker but it has a bar that can be kept in front of TV. I don't prefer as with separate speakers, I can place them up and high in corners and have sound like full range speakers. Grab these while you can.

Giant sound from a small package. I now know why Bose is the best. I have tried other soundbars and systems but none beat the quality and sound of Bose. Quick and easy set up. Just wish it had Bluetooth for wireless devices.

I was looking for something with good sound quality without the hassle or expense of surround sound because I didn't have existing components or wiring, I had nothing but a TV. This was the solution...great sound quality, heavy base if you want it, very little wiring to deal with, and all in a compact area by the TV! I was a bit hesitant to spend the money on this Bose product but it was worth EVERY penny!

I bought this system for my living room, which is not really big but big enough to want more then the speakers on my tv. This system produces quality sound that will fill most rooms with ease and is nice and compact. Its amazing the amount of sound from such a small set up. The universal remote is the icing on the cake!

I had gone into the store with the intention of buying a Samsung 5.1 system. The sales associate suggested this Bose setup which was comparably priced. I ended up purchasing the Bose system and have not regretted it for a second. It sounds better than 80% of the 5.1 setups I have encountered while working in customers homes (I am a tech for a satellite tv company). I would highly recommend this product.

I love being able to sit in my living room (15x25) and feeling like i'm fully enclosed in the sound. When in reality, all of the sound is coming from where my TV/TV stand is. Easy to use and set up. This surround sound system is the best one in our home. We loved it so much, we bought a 2nd one for our bedroom. :)

I think you get a great sound and very realistic surround but it depends on your Wall locations and speakers for the sound to reflect to the back. I have an open area and not much reflective wall space but still get a good sound, but not quite as good as rear speakers. Still it is a great value vs the 5.1 that is 2x's as much. My DirecTV remote also programs it so I can use just my 1 DirecTV remote.

I recently got this sound system and it is fantastic. Very easy to set up and great sound. The only problem I find with it is that in the store it was not available and I had to wait about a week for me to pick it up.

its kind of linited as to what you can hook it up to as it doesnt have many options. Kind of annoying, but for the lack in ports the sound quality surely makes up for it. Does whats its supposed to do and angers my neighbors. The sound is smooth and clear, no open spaces or fuzziness,which is nice. The length on the speaker wires is good length and tucks nicely behind my wall mounted tv. Bose does it again with a clean crisp clear sound quality, just like being at the movies!
