Got a new scanner to replace my old HP scanner. This is great!

This was such a hassle to download and get it to work. Ended up paying geek squad twice to get it on my new computer. And could not get it to scan in color. I would think since it said color scanner everything would scan in color. So far everything is black and white. And i cannot get it to scan in color. Would not recommend it. I reached out to brothers for help. And they were no help.

I have yet to have the product up and working. Instructions were not clear and the printed ones did not match what the disc put on the screen.

It is portable but difficult to operate. I spend too much time rescanning

It works well with Windows, Mac, and Linux, and comes with a USB cable and a carrying bag. It is ideal for scanning receipts, invoices, photos, and more. I am very satisfied with it.

Very hard to install. Never worked wireless. Expensive for the quality.

I was only scanning documents. The scan quality is horrible. Grainy, blurred, and often totally unreadable. Don't waste your money.

for starters it is slow, it is dull - white pages are dark, and just not a very good unit i regret getting this

bought it as a portable scanner for out of the office use, but instruction as well use is not friendly

I used to own a portable scanner from a different manufacturer, it did within a few months, and I haven't even used it that often. So before I purchased the next one I did a lot of research, trying to find what would best fit my needs. I wanted one that would scan to SD card, well there not many around other than what I had before. Many portables scan to the cloud, which I do not want, especially since most want you to sign up for their own cloud service, none accepted the cloud service I already have.So I ended up purchasing this. It was extremely easy to set up, there is a huge manual on that CD that explains everything. I installed the driver and Button Manager only, I do not need all that fancy stuff receipt manager and things like that, I can manage my receipts without special software. Withing minutes I connected the USB cable and the scanner to my laptop and scanned my first test page. It automatically noticed that I already ha a folder "my scans" and that's where the scan landed. You have a choice in settings to scan as JPG or PDF, also if color, black/white or gray scale, you can adjust the area you want to scan. So it is all really easy. Quality of scan is just what I need, I would not scan high resolution photos with a little scanner like this. For me it is all about being able to scan documents when on the road with my laptop. It fits in my laptop case without making the bag bulky or heavy.

This scanner comes in handy when I need to quickly scan a receipt or any type of document. There is no warm-up time, unlike my flatbed scanner. I simply plug it into the USB port, and scan within seconds. It's also very portable.

As a document scanner it works great. You will need to increase the quality as the default is set to low. Not a difficult task. Wish the included software was a little more and they didn't try to sell you the software you really need, but it comes with PaperPort as well, which will do what most people need. The biggest complaint is where they decided to locate the USB port. Without a right-angle connector the cable tends to get in the way of the exiting paper. It should have been on the end, out of the way from the working area.

I purchased for my husband after his neat receipt stopped working. He says this scanner is so much better the neat receipt. We use Mac OS so it scans right in using Preview. I highly recommend it.

I bought this scanner to help eliminate my paper files. I like that you can scan business cards for a contact list. The only thing I don't like is where they positioned the USB port, felt that it should have been on one of the ends, not where the paper comes out in the back. I know that I will get many different uses of this scanner.

I normally read these reviews with a grain of salt. This actually happened. Bought the scanner for scanning business cards and from what I understand a great software package in fact it was the second best rated product ( according to what I assumed was great reviews) Sorry to say but after 2 plus hours they still can't figure out what is wrong. Finally it was fixed (Brother first customer service error). Now it runs better than I expected. Gotta to say disappoint with the Customer care and it took a long time but the results are better than expected.
