Prints great, love all the features. AirPrint feature is so convenient for printing from mobile phone or tablet. Separate ink tanks are more cost effective. Easy to set up and compact design. Duplex printing saves paper. Love this printer! Great features, great price!

I come around to replacing my printers about every decade or so, and that's only because I buy nothing but Brother printers. I've had nothing but trouble with other printer brands before (looking at you, HP!).
This printer will print, scan, and fax for a good price. I highly recommend this product.

Excellent printer. I love Brother printers with their ease of setup, ease of use and capital R reliability. This one makes 5 in use right now for us and they just keep going. We had a small network issue during setup that was easily solved by turning on IPv6 protocol on the printer.
This is a full function printer that even includes a document feeder on top for printing and copying. Ink for it is easily obtainable and economical.
I was not paid for this review and would happily recommend it.

I find the Brother All-in-one copier/printer/fax machine to be the best economical device for me for home use. It prints well and has a great support if anything should go wrong.

Took me 15min to set up & print from my android cell phone. Can’t beat the price! It’s not a very fast machine but for under $80 & it’s ease to use, I think it’s a great bargain! I highly recommend it to those who just want to print out something with ease without asking for help ;)!!

This is the first product I have used from Brother. This item does exactly what it says on the box and I am more than pleased!
Print quality is exceptional and you get a great copier scanner as well. I haven't tried the fax machine yet but I am already assured it will exceed my expectations. My only advice is upon initial setup, please visit the company website to ensure you are downloading the latest drivers.
One more thing, The wireless printing features work flawlessly...allowing you to print directly from both your Android or Apple related device including smartphones, tablets, or laptops.

I read all the reviews that I could on this printer before I bought it. They said that it was a good little printer not super fast but reliable. This is what I think also. Its a very good printer. It takes a little time to process what it's going to print (10 or 15 seconds) which is not bad. It stays connected to WIFI. I never have a can't communicate with printer message. I print about 10 to 15 pages a week. It seems to be good on ink. I bought it on May/26/2017 and the ink is still almost full. It prints and scans very well.I can't review the Fax because I haven't used it. The printing speed is not as slow as some of the reviews that I read. I had a HP 6500A Plus for about 3 years and I always had problems with my computer not being able to communicate with the printer. I would have to reset the printer. I threw it in the trash and bought this one. After 1 month it's doing better than I expected. I would buy it again

The initial cost of all printers are about the same, but after much research, I found that Brother printers are known to have the lowest cost of operation because the ink cartridges are cheaper and print more pages than other brands. Also this printer is not as deep as most HP or Epson all-in-ones so it fits inside a cabinet rather than only on top. Only down side I can say is that it is a little slow on the sheets per minute printing speed. Otherwise all functions work great.

I don't do a whole lot of printing, but I did enough for my last printer to upset me. I used to be true to HP printers, but since I have my grandmother electronic type writer still from brother I decided to give the brand a try and I'm glad I did. Quick to set up, easy instructions and it even connected with my complicated dorm wifi with no issue. I love how the paper goes in and how the ink goes in the front. Works great and what a deal of the day!

After extensively reviewing many "mid-tier" printers at competitive prices, I settled on leaning towards a Brother printer and found this. I didn't need anything complex, just a printer that printed moderately efficient, reliable, and offered wireless or AirPrint capability.
From the standpoint of comparing this printer to the printers I've owned in the past (all comparative in level of functionality and pricing), I would say this beats any of my HP, Epson, and Canon (functionality only by a margin) printers. All of my printers have been junk and had half-lives shorter than a fly. This one seems to be a strong performer in the last 3 months.
The printer is not intrusive in size. It isn't the most sleekest, space-efficient printer, but it also doesn't take up all the real estate if you were to put it on your desk or counter. Aesthetically, it also is somewhat balanced. Again it isn't sleek and minimalist-looking like a Canon printer (those cool "Apple" whites), but it's still pleasing to the eye. It sort of follows a Epson suit, where it's simply good but nothing special. The black is matte, and not glossy. The printer design is delicate in some areas but it never feels cheap. Though you can tell that Brother keeps their prices competitive not by their looks, but by their functionality and reliability in what they do best- print! At first, I was disappointed in this printer, and expected more in terms of reliability: when launching a print, the connection intermittently disengaged and the Brother was no where to be found on my network. It was frustrating at first, but realized that if I used the provided installation CD-ROM instead of using local drivers in my operating system, all the headaches were gone! I know that seems simple and the first obvious answer, but actually current operating systems do well to either store or retrieve the latest drivers for many devices- but in this case- go for the CD-ROM! I was just glad I had an external drive lying around (I have a 2015 MacBook). So buyer caveat there! The printer is able to print double-sided (WHOO!), prints at a practical speed (not blinding fast but not painfully slow), and the control center loaded onto my computer is intuitive for scanning and sending as images or PDFs. Some parts of the printer feel dated for 2016, like the control panel on the printer itself. I appreciate its color LCD and its ability to swivel upward, but it does feel cheap. How can touch screen LCDs not be standard for printers these days? Again, this is a very balanced printer best for the casual user at a great price at Bestbuy. As a grad student this serves my needs. This is not suitable for a business of course, nor for someone who needs to print 30 pages per minute (I wish!). All this printer (or Brother needs) is to find a way to polish their aesthetics and this would be a real five star! Otherwise, this is definitely a keeper!

Black in is Full, but it won't print properly. Don't buy a printer that can't even print properly. The attached image should be solid black readable letters. I also printed in black and white from my PC.

So far so good. It connected quickly and easily to my wireless network. I immediately did some testing with printing, double side printing, scanning, and more. Thus far I have found no issues with it. For the price you can't beat the options and what sold me was the auto double side printing (which works with no issues). I have a 2.4 Ghz and a 5 Ghz setup at my house and thus far it doesn't matter which band my computer is connected to, the printer will still work (my previous printer would only work if my laptop was on the same 2.4 Ghz band). My only concern is the small ink cartridges, but they are so cheep I don't see how it will be a problem. Some people like the bigger cartridges but if you are like me it takes years to go through a full cartridge and after about a year it stops printing as well because the ink dried on the head.
I looked for about a hour at Bestbuy before I decided on this one. Some problems I found on other printers:
Some printers will stop printing all together is the color cartridge runs out (reviews stated they couldn't even print a black and white document because one color was out)
Some printers will only work with genuine ink cartridges
Most printer have expensive ink cartridges (this one was very low cost per page)
Most printers do not have double sided printing (especially at this price mark) - but this one does and I love it!
Scanning resolution varies widely (I only scan documents so this didn't matter to me)
This unit is very small and compact (another reason I bought it)
Overall a great unit
If you like this review and found it helpful, give it a thumbs up!

I have had Canon and HP printers in past and my son introduced me to Brother printer as he strongly suggested to buy one. Also, recent technological advances in printers forced me to go for a replacement and after lot of reviewing and also based on my son's recommendations, I bought this one. I had no problems at all setting up the printer. Just had to pay attention a bit and follow the instructions patiently. It did take a bit of time since it was first time setting up a wireless printer. I liked the idea that the printer did not have to be tied down to a computer by wire. It could be tucked anywhere in house and accessed by any computer connected to the same network at home. The print quality is excellent and good enough for home use. It did not match the laser quality of business printers for sure. Another big advantage I noticed is that the color cartridges come separately unlike my previous one. So this will turn out to be quite economical when the replacement time comes. Now I only have to replace the depleted ones for a much cheaper price. All in all I am very happy with purchase and would recommend to any one thinking of getting an all in one printer for home use.
