I picked this keyboard because of the smaller size. My keyboard tray is short and I needed room for a mouse also. It fits perfect. It is very sturdy and actually pretty heavy for how small it is, the aluminum body definitely helps make it feel of high quality. The RGB backlighting is also a very cool feature. Overall I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Purchased for use with a docked gaming laptop. The K65 is beautiful and feels great. Cherry MX red switches are nice and clicky. Only noisey if you bottom out key presses. The RGB backlighting is bright and colorful.

To put it simple it's a no Brainer here this keyboard is small so it'll fit on any desk with plenty of space for your mouse. Fully customizable keys it's pretty much an new addiction to mess with a little confusing at first but easy to learn how to do. It's clicks from the keystroke are pretty much a smooth quite click you almost can't tell you pressed the keys in my opinion. Great USB added to the back of the keyboard works every time. very usefully for plugging in small devices like USB drive, phones, controllers, etc etc. It's easy to keep clean with there being no ledges you can shake the keyboard out for dust with ease. Not to forget the frame is pretty much bullet proof. The hand rest that comes with feel amazing to rest your wrist on it feels a little slippery at first but you'll grow to love the feel the gives the wrist after a long day of typing or gaming. This keyboard is amazing if you can get over the fact there's no key pad or simply don't like a keypad like me then this board will fully satisfy the needs of every gamer. Only one bad thing and it could just been a thing I encounter but the little corsair emblem at the top started lifting from day one its sad because it's nicely done emblem. Summary, just buy this right now!

    Great Keyboard

First off I just want to state that this is a great keyboard. The keys feel good and the lighting is spot on. The size of this keyboard is on the small size due to the exclusion of the number pad and the extra function buttons that you normally see on gaming keyboards. For me, this is a plus since I do have limited space to work. This keyboard also has a set of media keys at the top of the keyboard: Mute, Volume Up, and Volume down. It also has a windows lock button for those times that you want to lock out the functions of the windows keys. It also has a brightness intensity button. The keys feel pretty good. The stiffness is great for those who like to rest their fingers on the keyboard before they depress a button. The shapes of the keys are also nice and fit my fingers well. The one issue I have is that my typing speed has decreased slightly. This is due to the pressure and distance my fingers must overcome to depress each key. The keyboard I came from was a membrane keyboard which had a much shorter travel distance per key and little activation resistance. The lighting is cool. I currently have the keyboard set to show all keys red on a low light setting. When I press a key, a random color explodes across the keyboard. I like the effect. I also have the keyboard programed to recognize a few games. When I start up MechWarrior Online, every key that I require to play the game is lit in a different color and grouped according to function. The keys I do not use are turned off. I am a touch typist so if I need to type a communication to my teammates I can do so with ease. Other features I like about this board. It is quiet when compared to Razors mechanical keyboard. This is not to say that this board doesn't click loudly. What I am saying is that it isn't obnoxious about it like Razor. The keyboard also has a quality feel about it. The keys don't have that cheap plastic feel about them like some other keyboards I auditioned. The plate under the keys is metal and the body of the keyboard is stiff plastic. Again, the plastic does not have a cheap feel about it. The only thing I wish Corsair did was release the Cherry Red Silent keys with this same chassis. I did audition those keys and preferred them but the keyboard was too big and the media keys that I rely upon were missing. Finally, I have to point out the negative of this keyboard. The software truly sucks. The organization of screens, effects, programmable features, and profiles are confusing and poorly implemented. Supposedly I can create a mode for each profile and somehow I am supposed to know how to switch between profiles. I had to watch a YouTube video by a review just to get a simple lesson on how to manage the software. And even then, I stopped manipulating the keyboard lighting features at what I described above. There has to be a better, more streamlined way of making the lighting features available to the average person. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and hope to have years of gaming, general computing, and typing ahead of me with this keyboard.

pros: good build quality beautiful rgb backlighting perfect size for a small desk cons: LOADS of driver issues wrist rest is squeaky when slightly moved rgb issues (more info below) i was originally going to purchase the corsair k70, but since i don't have much desk space to spare for a numpad that i rarely use anyway, i decided to go with this instead. this was my first mechanical keyboard, and i was amazed at how much of a difference there was using this compared to my old dell stock keyboard circa 2004. i had more fun typing because it just felt really good on the fingers! there was also a faster response time with inputs and i noticed it A LOT playing games. i had fun customizing the colors and lighting effects in corsair utility engine 2 (CUE2) to suit my mood. however, i've had a bad experience otherwise with this keyboard. after about one week of using this, i started noticing extreme lag whenever i pressed any key (mostly in overwatch). the game didn't detect frame drops even though i was only getting maybe 3 fps while using my keyboard. if i just moved my mouse around without touching the keyboard it went back to normal. i looked into the issue and apparently CUE2 had a file that interfered with something (i don't remember exactly what), which caused the lag. the solution was to delete the file, but apparently i didn't have it at all! i decided to downgrade to CUE1 which isn't as user friendly as 2, but it resolved the lag. occasionally it lags again and i have to fix it by either plugging in both usb cables to 2.0 or having one in 3.0. i find it annoying that i have to move my computer and tinker with it every once in a while. and just last week i turned on my computer after being away from it for about six hours, and the rgb lights for the esc key and numbers 2-8 would only show red and blue colors. i sent a ticket to corsair because i saw absolutely no resolutions for the issue online other than returning it. i turned my backlight off for a few days then turned it back on and it fixed itself. i have no idea what happened, but im upset that it even happened because i've only had the keyboard for about a month!! also corsair still hasn't responded to my ticket when their website said it would take about three business days to reply. tldr: flashy and pretty but too many issues to be worth it.

I bought this because it was small and didn't have the number pad I didn't use anyway. The color control for the keyboard is fantastic. You can make almost any color effects you could want and can download lots of cool presets. It is a very responsive keyboard, but the Cherry MX red keys are a bit loud for my tastes. The included wrist wrest is slippery and can become uncomfortable. The USB pass through is great for plugging my mouse into, but I wish it had two. Very sturdy aluminum base.

You cannot go wrong with this keyboard. I was recommended to take a look at Corsair from some friends. Originally i was only looking at Razer, Logitech and other more well-known brands, but I am lucky to have taken a look and purchased this keyboard. First off, the switches are incredible. Not too loud, not too mushy and my favorite aspect, no audible click when you release the key after pressing it. I know many professional games NEED that auditory feedback as their APM are insane, but i am not a professional gamer and my APM will not be any faster no matter what keyboard i buy. The greatest thing about this keyboard is the design. It is simple, clean and elegant, especially for a gaming oriented keyboard. The ten keyless design gives you a ton more desk space and mouse space and really keeps your desktop looking neat and clean. My only gripe is that the CUE software is a little confusing. In addition, I'd love for it to work with my Logitech G software so i can get everything lighting the same colors in sync with one another.

I purchased this for 80 dollars. Works as advertised, full rgb keyboard can tune each individual key. The compact size is nice for compact spaces and small desks, and for creating more room. Cherry MX reds are a great key type and they last a long time. If you want a numpad I can recommend the K70 RGB but this is a good buy for the compact size and it usually goes on sale for cheaper prices. Numpad is not as essential as many gamers say it is unless your constantly working with numbers or know a specific program works best or only with a numpad.

I have wanted a Corsair RGB keyboard since the first time I saw one at a LAN party. Although quite expensive, they are totally worth it. Build quality is superb, the mechanical switches are fantastic, and the RGB lighting is so insanely customizable with the CUE app, (which does take some time to figure out) I don't think there is another keyboard on the market like it. With 50 million key presses per key, I don't think I will ever get another keyboard. Specially since these are real Cherry MX switches, and that means any key caps made for Cherry MX switches will work. Awesome job Corsair, caused me to run out and get a Void RGB headset (Fantastic also), M65 Pro Mouse (Even more fantastic also), an M300 Mousepad (incredible), and an H100i v2 Liquid Cooler (keeps my FX8320 at 4.5ghz at 39C under 100% load), all of which I bought at BestBuy.

Its a 10key less keyboard so its compact for a small desk area or if you want to keep it looking nice and simple. Love the rgb and customizable lights. Only thing that bugged me was the *clicky* sound when typing. I like mines to be slient but these are a bit less noisy compared to others.

Board of firsts for me. First mechanical, Tenkeyless and RGB. After almost a month I have mostly gotten used to it and love it. The MX Reds took some time coming from a G15, but they feel pretty good now. Slight gripe is I probably would have preferred MX Browns but it’s not an option for the LUX (as far as I know). Love the dark brushed aluminum and the software works as intended. The USB cable is braided and quite thick, and the keyboard feels very sturdy. If you’re able to score one for $80, it’s definitely worth the price.

I was hesitant to pick up this keyboard due to the fact that I was so used to having the 10 key. After a little adjustment, I have come to love this keyboard. It gives the nice key clicks like a mechanical keyboard, but is very quiet. Each individual key can be set to a different color using the Corsair Software. I have used many different keyboards with the most recent being the Razer BlackWidow, and I would choose K70 over the others I have had any day. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to buy a new keyboard.

This Corsair keyboard blew my mind. I came from a long history of mechanical keyboards. I've tried them all, brown, red, blue. Corsair, Ducky, Razer, SteelSeries. I am not partial to any particular brand. The two mice I use are Logitech G550 and the SteelSeries Rival. When someone asks me what's the best keyboard I've used, I would answer Ducky Shine. But for $110, this Corsair keyboard is a close second. Yes, there is no numpad, but I would have never thought that I would prefer it that way. It brings my two arms closer together, and it doesn't feel like I'm overextending my arms apart, having my left hand on the leftmost side of the keyboard (WASD/QWER) while my right arm is on the mouse. I didn't have to tilt my keyboard right side up to be comfortable. It was a game changer. The keys are one of the best I've ever used. And I had. 2016 Blackwidow Ultimate. I don't know what was wrong with it, but I just simply didn't like it. The keys are different, and I personally just prefer red keys for the depress is so crisp and everything just feels much, much better. I was frustrated with the Razer keyboard and ended up just shoving it in a drawer until further notice. If you have a few hundred to spend on a keyboard, get a Ducky. If you want something that will give you the best bang for the buck, without skimping on quality and reliability, I would definitely recommend the K65 over anything.

The keyboard lighting is bright and the customization is incredible. Its a bit difficult to work with the software at first. The keys are solid and accurate. I have found the USB port on the keyboard to be very convenient when I didn't expect to use it. The keys have a nice feel to them, but I did purchase the noise reducing o-rings off Amazon to help with the noise. It really isn't bad to begin with but my significant other is sensitive to the sound of the clicking.

I do some lite gaming and this keyboard works great. The keys are responsive and crisp. The ability to make the keys any color you want and have the colors move or stay the same are an added bonus. Having the extra USB port on the keyboard is nice. I have my mouse plugged into it. No side number pad, which doesn't bother me since I don' t do much there. It does take up 2 usb ports on your computer though.
