Antonio and Deanne were amazing! I spilled liquid on my very old MacBook and I was so worried I lost all of the data on it. They didn’t have the reader but Antonio helped me find one on Amazon that I could get the next day. He even helped get the memory out of the laptop. Deanne was kind enough to see me the next day without an appointment and get everything worked out for me to pick up my laptop in a week. Thank you both for helping me get set up with a new laptop and still have all the work and documents I’ve collected on my old MacBook.

Data transfer issues were resolved and geek squad very helpful.

I needed to upgrade my hard drive and transfer all of my data. Geek squad did the job in one day even though I didn't have my Windows key for the reinstall. They even wrote down my key for me in case I needed it in the future. Service like this is why I always go to Best Buy & Geek Squad.

Asked for data to be transferred from an older MacBook, to a cleaned off, newer one. In my request I said I wanted the new computer cleaned (back to factory settings) and everything from the old one transferred to the newer one, so I could use the newer one exclusively. What happened was a strict data transfer. One file folder, on the newer laptop with all of the files and data. No integration; the newer laptop useless. None of the files opened nor worked. Had to give both computers back for a complete redo. The second time, most of the programs worked, most of the files transferred without degradation. Items that needed tweaking were taken care of. Overall, less than excellent because of the extra time required to do the task properly the second time. All of the Squad members were patient, courteous, and professional. The lesson is to be VERY specific when describing the desired end result.

Jay was more than AMAZING. In all of my time working with computers, I have never really had a Blue Screen of Death (BS0D) actually mean dead. I could always resurrect it, at least long enough to get what I needed. Not this time. My time commitments and resources were not in alignment to spend much time working on it, so off to the Geek Squad I went. The phone service, although they tried to be helpful, just couldn't do anything. And my appointment scheduled with the local team was a week away. Patience has never really been my strength, but I'm glad I was able to hold on. This service saved hours of work recreating content that I hadn't had a chance to backup. Saved at least 15 hours of my time to rebuild, and hours trying to troubleshoot. THANK YOU.

Yes, I truly believe Best Buy's Geek Squad service out performs Apples Geniuses service division any day of the week for 98% of most work. Of course Best Buy are not permitted to upgrade any Apple products, which I don't see why Best Buy doesn't get their Official Apple Repair certification to do that work, because the truth is many risky dink small computer repair shops do have that Official Apple Certified repair service document and as a result can do major surgery on any Apple product and still keep that Apple product under Apple's official warranty status? Am I correct? Maybe Apple is blocking Best Buy from receiving this above mentioned Official Apple Repair Certification with fears that Apple will drastically loose control & start hemorrhaging big money if they ever surrender such a privilege to Best Buy in this department? Who knows, maybe Best Buy doesn't even want that Apple mess? Probably, right?

My laptop had a broken screen so the back up service is great for saving your important stuff and we had it all transferred to the new laptop. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. If you're buying a new computer it should be included in the price.

When our old Dell All in One PC failed to startup we looked to replace it with another Dell All in One, as we were happy with the form factor and ease of use. The set up and data transfer went smoothly and as expected and we are happy with our new unit.

I took my old computer with me when I went to the store and bought the new upgraded computer. They called me within in a few hours to pick the new one up after they did the data transfer and set up. They do a great job and they are very fast.

Agents did a great job recovering my data, fought a difficult old device but made it work.

The Geeksquad transferred my data to a new drive. I think it was a bit costly considering I am not in business and just wanted my photos downloaded...they however did a nice job. And appreciate their professionalism

We puchased a new HP Pavilion Desktop to replace one that crashed, i.e. would not boot. We wanted to salvage the data! Salvaging the data does not make your apps and devices function. It required several weeks of effort to reinstall most of them. We encountered firewall problems that we had not anticipated. The new Pavilion came with McAfee security preinstalled and we transfered Norton security because we were familir with it. That gave us multiple firewalls. To go with the preinstalled McAfee may sound like the easiest soution, but, when two other computers in your house run Norton and you have a Norton license for three computers it isn't an easy switch. Bottom line is that Geek Squad did transfer the data, Apps and Devices must be reinstalled. We were given no assistance in doing that. That is a separate contract.

Great Fast Service - Geek Squad is the best! My old laptop died and GS backed up my hardrive.

Quick and easy. Friendly staff. Saved a lot of time and helped reduce stress of possibly losing the information.
