I was happy with them backing up my computer but too much money just for backing up. I purposely got insurance because I thought malfunction on the computer would be backed up.

I needed my new laptop to be my business PC. The tech loaded my new version of Quickbooks. He also restored my data from previous version. Had me register my new account online. He was very helpful. Thank You

My old computer was not able to start up. The Geek Squad was able to recover all of my data and files. The only thing I may have to reconstruct is my address book in Outlook.

Geek squad transferred my data to a new hard drive. Although my laptop is old, it is now functioning well and I'm able to complete the tasks I need to complete.

Great buying experience with a very knowledgeable staff @ the Alliance Town Center location. Definitely a fan of geek squad--they know there stuff and have been very helpful on a couple occasions. Very happy with this desktop!

My old computer died, so I had to buy a new one quickly. Fortunately, I had everything backed up on an external hard drive, so the Geek Squad was able to transfer everything and they did it quickly.

The Geek Squad did a great job of transferring all the information saved to my old laptop over to the new laptop. Everything I wanted to keep was, and it was done so quickly. I left the store a happy camper.

My HD was toast, it wouldn't boot up. Geek Squad worked their magic and saved my data. Excellent job.

I could not turn on my laptop. First time I have brought to Geek Squad they check it in-house and said it's because I have not downloaded all Lenovo updates. They downloaded updates and gave me back my laptop. Next day it stopped worked again. I came back to Geek Squad. This time they sent it somewhere to be repaired. The problem they said it was in the battery. The laptop is working but slower than before. It's useful to have Geek Squad coverage. But I am not sure about level of expertise and knowledge of people who work in-house, at the store.

I totally appreciate the In-home assistance from the Geek Squad staff. I have to admit in all the times I've been shopping at Best Buy I have had on one occasion, had a poor experience. One of the sales staff was very rude to both my wife and I and I felt this was just a one time thing. It was easily fixed and after it was all said and done completed satisfactory. But like I said, the one staff member should be a little less rude, and sharpen their customer service skills. I worked in retail as a member in the management team and this was one thing I would be seriously be conscerned with considering that is what brings customer back to your place of business. So, that is all I really need to say, I will still continue to go to Best Buy, but avoid this one rude staff member.

Computer problem never going to happen to me. When you least expect it, expect it. Forgot to backup? Well these guys can get it back, get it reinstalled, and set it back up lickty split.

Having the Geek Squad perform services that you don't feel comfortable performing yourself is great to have available. Data transfer was done in a timely manner and an extremely professional job was done.

I added the data transfer when I bought a new desktop computer. Spent $80 and it was worth every penny. Everything was setup without headaches. Very smooth transition to my new computer.

I’m glad I decided to take my laptop to geek squad. What took them a few hours to transfer information would’ve taken me over a day...glad they know what they’re doing

I bought a new laptop and needed everything moved from my old device to the new one. Best buy made my data back up and transfer really easy and convenient.

We needed a new laptop that was lighter and faster than our old one. We have a geek squad account and our rep found us a good buy that met our needs and transferred all of our data to the new machine. The service was excellent and done efficiently. We highly recommend the Geek Squad service for all your technology needs.

I bought a new Mac and paid the Squad to transfer my data to the new Mac. I learned after first try, that on the Request Form you must stipulate each and every little thing you want transferred. I had listed browser history to be transferred, but apparently that didn't include my Bookmarks. Had to return and get those transferred, by making an Appointment, but at least I did not have to leave the new Mac over night. The guys (3) I dealt with were all real nice, and good at customer service. (I had kept my old hard drive and let them recycle the old Mac; I recommend retaining the hard drive, or the follow up could not have been done.)
