Vladimir and another guy, who I didn't get his name, rudely entered my apartment on 09/25/2023, asked where they would be setting up, then immediately stated "well we can't install the washer and dryer anyway because we are missing a part." .......WHY would you inform me you're missing an essential piece of equipment that you need to install my equipment on the day of my appointment?! I ordered this washer and dryer on the 10th of September, after weeks of delay, I thought finally it was going to be installed. I even took off of work to be sure I would not miss this delivery. I've never experienced such rude, unprofessional, and incompetent behavior from a business like BestBuy and these two weirdos they sent that just absolutely wasted my time.

Pharr, TX Geek Squad is a complete disappointment. We were sent there by T-Mobile (which, honestly, isn’t much better) with a faulty iPhone 16. The first Geek Squad rep said there were no technicians available at the moment, but he ran a diagnostic and scheduled us for the next day. According to him, the issue was the battery. He also warned us that during a battery replacement, the screen might crack—but assured us that our insurance would cover both the battery and screen if that happened.
So we came back the next day, only for a different (and noticeably younger) rep to say the screen had scratches and wouldn’t be covered. Suddenly, we had to pay a $107 deductible to replace it. I told him, “Come on, the guy yesterday saw the screen and didn’t mention any of that.” He went to the back, allegedly to “talk to the manager,” and came back with the same answer: pay or leave.
What’s worse—they said the phone had to be sent to California for repair. Aren’t you supposed to be technicians?
Bottom line: this was a waste of time, full of misinformation, and just another example of how little Best Buy/Geek Squad cares about customers. It’s all about profit—not service.

I paid for (2) $40 services, prior to that they said if it doesn't fix they will refund. I called back asking for refund since it didn't work, and instead they tried to get me to pay $150 for a subscription to fix it. Denied it but they didn't refund. I called back was on the phone for 40 min, got transferred 8 times. 2 times to the correct department where one said he would help, but then transferred me, and the other said he tried and failed so he transferred me to the mobile department. In the end it looks like they only refunding me for one of the services. They clearly don't want to refund any money. 1st and last time I'll ever use geek squad. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

The agent didn't transfer the data from my old computer to the new one claiming that there are cockroaches in my computer. My house is spotless. The old computer was opened at best buy store in Aberdeen NC on March 30, 2025. The technician checked if it could be updated. He told us that, it could updated it, but the cost of the processor and other parts to replace would be as high as buying a new computer. He didn't see any bugs inside it. The same day I bought another computer: Cyberpower pc, model: SLC8800BSTV8 at the store. On 4/6/2025 I took the old and the new computers to best buy in Aberdeen to transfer data. The agent has a picture with one insect on top of a computer. I am 100% sure that the bugs that roam around the room were the agents modify computers are in the store. Unfortunately, one of them landed on my pc and the agent threw the pc on my face adding that it needs to be cleaned by professionals and to bring a proof of it. After spending at Best buy $1,690.59 on March 30, I am told to pay someone else to clean a computer that is already clean. I am extremely unhappy with best buy geek service. I give people no good recommendation.but

I’ve scheduled 3 separate tv repair appointments and the technician has yet to show up and my tv still isn’t fixed. I have the $300 protection plan which apparently doesn’t mean much. I’ve contacted their “customer service” line no less than 15 times over the course of two weeks trying to get updates, rescheduling, calling after ANOTHER no show. Their best advice was for me to go to the store to schedule yet another appointment. I have never had this poor of a customer experience. We won’t be buying any more products from Best Buy.

Zero stars, this is the biggest scam in the world. I bought a Samsung Washer and dryer in April 2023 from the Fayetteville North Carolina Best Buy. I was told that The geek squad would set evey thing up and that i would have the geek squad on my side if i bought any thing new from best buy that they woukd set me up even if i moved. Well 4 months after buying the washer and dryer from best buy i bought a house and moved. Of course the dryer plug was a 3 prong, not the 4 prong i had previously had. So i went on line to order the new cable. I was toldvthat i could get it delivered and that the geek squad would set it up.
I decided to not buy online but went to the local store on skibo road here in Fayetteville. I spokevto a best buy associate to get the correct cable and asked about when the geek squad would be able to install it. I was told to talk to the manager Tim. I explained to tim the situation and he said that it was not covered. I dont understand if you pay for a service and then the agreement is not kept. Isvthat not a breach of the contract. Now i have a $900 dryer that i cannot use. Because the vendor refuses to change a cable. I am sovdiscussed with this customer service mamager. That i won't shop at best buy ever again and i will be canceling my best buy card. I will also be sharing this on a blog and with the better Businesses bureau. I vote with my wallet as that is the best way to get good customer.

COWARDLY MANAGER / LOUSY SERVICE

1) The store manager at the Best Buy in Sanford, Florida never shows up when you ask for him.
2) Their help personnel are not in the US and do not understand or comply with requests
(please give the number of the US corporate HQ)
3) They are not honest in selling antiviral software - I bought the first at about $49 and then was charged over $100 more for a "better" which still does not work.
4) Geek squad desk member assured me problem was fixed and it was not. I had to return to the store
a second time.
5) Another problem has cropped up interfering with the cursor. I am taking college classes and can not use my computer sometimes because the cursor moves and opens windows EVEN WHEN I AM NOT TOUCHING IT!!! I have already taken the computer to the store once for this problem. It has not been fixed.
6) After I rated the store poorly, I received a call from another person who wanted to know what went wrong. I have called him back twice, but he has never returned my call. I guess this guy did not care either.

Geek squad broke my dishwasher!

So, Geek squad is good at putting things together or carrying out an "assembly" of a product. However, they are awful with repair, unless they just have the same repairmen. One person came for my leaking dishwasher, which stopped leaking when he arrived. I said I no longer needed the part. He was trying to convince me to purchase the part. When I said I didn’t need it, he placed his hand under the dishwasher, caused another leak, and said, "See, that's what I was saying. You still need the part." But he caused the leak. I can't believe he had the nerve to break my dishwasher..AGAIN!! I just said he could go. And he didn’t even apologize or offer a refund. This geek squad service i paid for was for him to FIX my dishwasher.

Do not buy the best but total package. They charge $180 for this and took away free mounting and installation Of tvs in June 23. They charge $250. Which is crazy on top of the membership price. I had to exchange my tv and install it myself because of the incompetence of the geek squad. I couldn’t get it installed the first time because they delivered to the wrong address. The second time they sent only a deliver person instead of a geek squad install person . The third time they made and appointment without delivering the tv. They wanted to give me a compensation of $10 for my time and trouble. That was extremely insulting. I would give no stars if I could. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MEMBERSHIP!!!

Geek Possibly Compromised My Laptop

Geek Squad's customer service was a complete failure. I contacted them to disable the auto-framing feature in Zoom and ended up speaking with five different agents over 1.5 hours without a solution.
The third agent used remote access and, for some reason, opened an incognito window. The fourth agent said there was no need for it but would not explain why it was being used. That was a major red flag.
The fourth agent also took ten minutes to respond each time. She claimed she was working on Zoom, but I saw no action on my screen. After all that wasted time, she finally asked me what issue I needed help with. I believe she then initiated a reset of my laptop, possibly to wipe our chat and force my device to shut down. This was suspicious and completely unacceptable.
The fifth agent told me I would have to wait another 30 minutes for tech support. After wasting so much time, I refused.
Nothing was fixed. The auto-framing in Zoom is still enabled, and instead of getting help, I now feel like my laptop may have been compromised. I wasted nearly two hours dealing with this incompetence. I am canceling my membership and warning others. Geek Squad is a waste of time and possibly a security risk.

I had a laptop that needed drivers reinstalled. The tech told me that if I purchase a premium membership for $179 plus tax they would fix it. I picked it up and it didn't work. The tech then told me it couldn't be fixed. I requested a reimbursement for the membership to be used towards a new device. The response was, since we worked on the computer we will only credit you $25. Had I known it couldn't be fixed initially I would have bought a new device then. I'm out $150. I will never shop at Best Buy again.

My machine has been broken for 3 weeks! Geek squad has been unresponsive since my 2nd service request as the machine broke within a day of having the drain pump replaced. The 2nd technician that came to fix it was unprepared after the issue was explained at length to customer service. To date I requested a call from a supervisor and no response and both my appointments have been cancelled. To say the least this has been an utter disappointment!

Buyer beware - In my opinion, don't waste your money on any of these Geek Squad warranties. My refrigerator stopped getting cold. I called for warranty service. It took them 3 days to get a Geek Squad guy to show up. When he showed up, he basically tested out the refrigerator and said that it needed some parts. Of course, they don't have the parts on hand and had to order them. He said it would take a week for the part to arrive. He said they could get them quicker if they ordered them priority shipping but that his company won't order them that way. So, a week later and the parts still haven't arrived. He has made his follow up appointment for repairs for tomorrow which is over 10 days since the refrigerator quit working...and the parts aren't supposed to arrive until after his scheduled appointment tomorrow. What a total joke. Please save your money on a warranty package from Best Buy. I have been living out of an ice chest for 10 days and am going to have to wait even longer now. I wish I had just called a local appliance repair shop. I guarantee you that this refrigerator would have been back working by now if I used someone else.

I called back and they said they can just reschedule and wanted me to pay right now . First he wanted me to check my bank . Had over $12,000 or equipment tv's , sonos etc installed a year agao and they were awesome . I was the biggest fan, great customer service etc. However out of nowhere my plan was non renewed . i did not recive a notice and it was supposed to be charged automatically on the Best Buy Visa Card. They say there is nothing they can do and no where to push it up the ladder. i have been a big fan of Best Buy and have recieved great sevice up until now. The entire plan seems to have changed so look closely into if it is worth it. of course i can purchase a new plan but not what i was looking for.

I fi could give negative stars I would! I’ve been to geek squad two times in the past two months only for the most expensive route to fixing a 12 pro max and for them to tell me there isn’t anything they could do except recommend a new phone. They need to do better!
