    I love this vacuum. Great suction and wide front roller that picks up lots of dust. Dyson cleans way better then my other expensive robot vacuum’s. Navigation and mapping works the way it should.

    I do not recommend this Dyson robot vacuum to anyone. Buying it was a big mistake. It runs around aimlessly for hours constantly bumping into and damaging furniture. Even when set to quiet mode it’s still very noisy. On top of that it frequently gets stuck in random spots requiring me to manually pick it up and restart it which completely defeats the purpose of having a robot vacuum. Overall it's been a huge disappointment and a constant headache. I expected better performance and smarter navigation from a product at this price point.

    I wanted to love this product. I love all Dyson stuff, and all in all this was actually a good robot vacuum. In fact, it was great at suction, but the price makes it so that it needs to do more than that. The navigation was actually not bad (it uses a different process than most which is why people probably though it was bad in other reviews), the app is OK, the design, bin, brush roll, side suction, filter, etc were all great. The screen on the top was not the best, but also did give a lot of information and options. All in all, it again comes down to the price. For this price, you can get a lot more in the industry. Now I wanted to love this vac just for the Dyson brand and suction power and all the other positives, but I couldn't bring myself to pay what I did (almost double a comparable vac) just for those things.

    Very Loud. Never made it back to the charging station. Very big on the height of the vacuum and would get stuck under everything (chairs / couches / beds). Could not clean close to the baseboards. Over all a bad experience. Would not recommend.

    Dyson Tech Poorly Executed - Can't Recommend

    Not worthy of the Dyson name. The robot can vacuum well. Beyond that it sucks. Mapping almost means nothing, as the robot will hit walls and edges it should already know exist. Getting back to the dock makes it look like the robot stopped by the local pub and after they took his keys, he gave it a go to walk home. I have seen it go in circles trying to get around corners and even belly up to the dock. The bin is a mess to clean out causing a dusts plume at the garbage can. It frequently gets stuck. Unless you're watching the robot or the app, it can drain its battery in a single location waiting for help. When you move it, it goes right back to the same spot and gets stuck. You can use the app to block these trouble areas...but then, go up to mapping; it just goes right back where it know it shouldn't. I've worked with Dyson. Updated the firmware. Remapped. Cleaned sensors. This is the second one I've had as I returned the first thinking it was a fluke. Second one doesn't seem to vacuum as well. SO I used the Boost function. It took nearly a day to vacuum a master bedroom because it had to go back to the dock to charge so many times. I bought it at $1200. Now you can get it for half that...a Dyson. Now you know why. Soon they'll be trying to give them away. Best Buy and Dyson have been great, but the device just doesn't work well. I have worked to try and like this machine, but it's time to call a spade a spade. This vacuum just doesn't make the grade and that sucks!

    I am a big Dyson fan to preface this review. The build quality is nice and premium. The roller is excellent and cleans well. The only issues I had were with the software and with Dyson customer service. We had the vacuum for about a week before it stopped working and we returned it to bestbuy. The navigation while it was working seemed off. It had a hard time mapping out our home and would get stuck in random spots. The breaking point was the Vacuum stopped working saying it had a "software error". We did the research troubleshooting and even tried turning it off and on again. No luck. We called dyson and the customer service was not good. They ended up just saying to send it in and they would replace it since its under the warranty. At this point we had already paid a significant amount of money and we didnt want to run into another software issue. Build quality excellent, but poor navigation and software. (App was also not the best) I would not recommend this with the high premium price, but if you are willing to deal with the possible software issues it is a good vacuum with a small footprint.

    The only robot that picks up Newfoundland fur

    This is truly min/maxed for cleaning performance above all else. I've tried all of the other major brands, including the ones certified for long hair, and none could pick up the long Newfoundland fur we have (which might as well be coated in scotchgard). Its navigation is average, the battery life is short, it doesn't self-empty, but it's the only robot vacuum where I don't need to run another vacuum periodically to pick up fine dust, let alone the dog fur. It's definitely not for everybody, but if you want a thorough clean in a robot, this is the only way to go.

    This is the third robot vacuum I've purchased, two Roombas and then this Dyson, and the Dyson 360 Vis Nav does the same quality job (if not poorer in some areas) as the Roombas for more than twice the money. I really wanted to love it, as it looks fantastic and it has some crazy technology that promises a first-class cleaning. However, my experience was so hit-and-miss over the course of 30 days, that I ultimately returned it and went back to Roomba. Positives: it matches our other Dyson machines and uses the same app, parts, etc. It gives you a report of how dirty the floor was after it's done vacuuming. It's very quiet, and if it detects more dust, it'll automatically increase suction. It's also quite speedy, doing our main floor in about 46 minutes compared to a little over an hour w the Roomba. Cons: The drawback of it being speedy is that it misses stuff. I'd have to grab our cordless dyson to finish off the job because there would be random patches of dirt that the robot missed. Also, it got lost ALL THE TIME. It ignored the boundaries set on the map, and I even reset the map and had it do a second mapping, and I had the same problems all over again. I would start the machine and 20 mins later I had to go rescue it from somewhere. Also, it constantly told me the sensors were dirty, so I had to tend to it. Very few times was I able to set it and forget it. Lastly, it's over a thousand bucks, which is WAY more than any of the top-of-the-line machines out there, and it doesn't even empty itself out, you have to do it. I wanted to love it, but I ended up regretting it.

    Not Ready for Retail. VERY POOR QUALITY!

    So disappointed in Dyson for this. I'm a HUGE Dyson fan. This is the worst robot vacuum I've ever seen. It seems so confused before it does ANYTHING. It took forever to map my house and kept getting stuck on the vent grates because it thought it was falling. I have standard floor vents and no issues with other robot mops or vacuums. After it finally mapped my house, I sent the vacuum directly to the kitchen to clean this morning. It said it would take 15 minutes. It took the Dyson about 5 minutes to get from the dock to the kitchen. My kitchen is directly next to the dining room, where the Dyson is docked. I also don't have a big house so the docking station is probably 10 feet from the kitchen. Once the Dyson arrived to the kitchen, it did clean it, but after nearly 30 minutes of it going over the same area multiple times and missing one area all together, it took the robot 20 minutes to return to the docking station. Again, the docking station is about 10 feet from the kitchen. I then sent the robot to clean my office. I sent the robot to my office from the app four times and each time, the robot left the dock and returned to the dock WITHOUT reaching the office. There was nothing blocking its path. I received a message in the app that said the robot was unable to complete the clean. That's it. No other explanation. I'm returning my robot and will need to consider another brand. I was so looking forward to the Dyson robot, but this does not meet their excellent quality standards and I'm so surprised they went ahead with production of this trash.

    Fantastic Vacuum Robot (Remember the backplate!)

    This is a fantastic vacuum, I really enjoy using it and it’s been great at picking up large amounts of debris on our hardwood floors so far I have not found a vacuum that can pick up as much as this one does on hardwood floors. Now I will tell you that the doc has a back panel with two checkerboard symbols on it that is required if you want the robot to be able to find the dock. I’ve seen a lot of people in the reviews and comments complaining that the robot cannot find the dock, but I think they just probably forgot to attach the back plate. We didn’t even notice that back panel until we went to return it. Boy did we feel silly, because it certainly wasn’t broken! We just had forgotten to put the dock back panel on so the robot actually could see it!! Great performance since!

    I am a big Dyson fan. I have owned three of their vacuums, five different sizes of fans, and some hair dryers… so when they introduced a robot vacuum, I jumped on the purchase. I was disappointed from the moment I connected the app to the machine. It took an hour to map 1600sf living space. It took an hour and a half to charge the battery On a boost setting, it took 15 minutes to clean half of the ordinary rug, and then it recharged the battery for another hour and a half to clean the other half. The estimate to clean one rug was 1 hour and 39 minutes on the boost setting You cannot follow where the machine is cleaning once it is on the go. There is no info on how much battery is used while the machine is cleaning. While cleaning the rug, I lost connection with the machine several times. I have a one-gig internet connection with a Mash system router and never lose connection on other devices. The only good thing is that it cleans like an upright vacuum—it picks up everything. It also goes where most robot vacuums can't because it is not as high as the others. Unfortunately, this is a big miss for Dyson. I would not mind spending an hour mapping the house, but the battery life for cleaning is horrible. This robot vacuum is not for my household.

    I would have given it 5 stars if the battery charge lasted longer. I really like the roller brush. One of my dogs has long fur and with the other brand, I had to clean the rollers between each room. They Dyson picks up fine dirt too. The vacuum is very strong for a robot vacuum.

    The robot is a cleaning machine for sure. I wish it were more deliberate with it cleaning patterns. If it went in a grid it would do a better job. The battery life is what makes clean longer so where ever it cleans it gets most of it.

    Great robot, I love my Dyson. I bought this 4 months ago works great for our house. Love that it picks up so much cat hair and has enough storage for up to a week. I’m bummed that I ran out of time to get insurance coverage on it. I’m also bummed that the price went down 300 bucks from what I payed. I still love my Dyson robot.

    Pick up dirt and dog hair great on carpet. The mapping sucks on it. it goes everywhere like a drunk troll driving the dyson. Mapping on Roomba is 1000% better

    Actually embarrassing to the Dyson brand

    First of all, I'm a Dyson super-fan: regular vacuum, hair wrap, and multiple fans / air purifiers. So when I noticed that they had a robot vaccuum? I was thrilled! It pains me to say this, but this product is not merely 'bad", it's an embarrassment to the Dyson brand name. Not only does it get stuck / need rescuin every time I run it, and not only is its battery life a literal joke (it can only run for about 12 minutes on its highest setting, which wouldn't be a problem if it were smart enough to return to the charging dock... because then it could simply keep going... but it just DIES, int he middle of the floor... ... but the thing that pushed me to return, and pushes me to the "1 star" category, is that I ran it about four times over the carpet in a rooom... .. and after THAT, I ran my 8-year old Roomba over the same spot in the room... and my old, trusty Roomba STILL picked up quite a bit of dust, etc. that the Dyson had not. IF the Dyson truly were a massively better suction machine, I could almost forgive its lack of usability (ie that it needs constant baby-sitting) -- but for it to behave like a first generation roomba, while also NOT being super strong? I'm so sorry -- but this product is the rare flop from a company whose products I otherwise love. :(

    Self inflicted damage due to poor navigation

    Navigation is so bad it’s basically useless. It damages itself from running into things on its own due to poor navigation so continually gets worse. Spins in circles for 30 mins in a bright room because it can’t figure out how to exit the open doorway back to docking station. Unfortunately i can’t return since it’s outside the 14 day return window. Very disappointed.

    Better then 4 other vacuums we tried and one of them was roomba 10 max a couple other brands from Best Buy and this is the only one that does what it says reliably, It does on occasion need help not often at all tho. Cleans great , bagless is a plus. I’d recommend for sure.
