I bought a different printer than this one to start with and should have just bought this one. Dont try to cut corners - just get the good stuff first.

And the next best reason... no Cartridges - that was very important. My last printer requires a subscription to send replacements automatically but if I decided not to subscribe the printer would not work.

On the good side, ink is cheap and the print quality is excellent. On the not so good side, you have to buy the maintenance box on-line; while BB and others carry ink in the stores, they do not stock the maintenance box. On the bad side, the software has issues, and the issues are not fixed by the updates. On the really bad side, the printer jams almost all of the time. It is hard, sometimes impossible, to get it to print a hundred pages without jamming. I use only the highest quality, 24 lb paper, and this does not alleviate the problem. I cannot recommend this printer.
