Customers are pleased with the excellent camera quality and ease of use of the Smart Wi-Fi Dual Cam Video Doorbell. Many appreciate the local storage option eliminating subscription fees, and find installation straightforward. However, some users note inconsistent motion detection and that the battery life requires periodic charging. The larger size of the doorbell compared to other models was also mentioned as a drawback by a few customers.

If you care about just having a smart doorbell this is great. You just have to accept the scandals that come along with the company. Are you willing to accept lies and privacy issues from a smart home company?
Overall though, an easy installation and a sleek design allowed me to sleep well at night knowing my data may be unencrypted and uploaded.

This is the latest video doorbell from Eufy. This doorbell comes with two cameras, one to see who is at the door and the other downward facing camera to see the packages being dropped off at your doorstep. This downward facing camera keeps an eye on your delivered packages and you get notifications as a reminder to pick up the package along with alerts if anyone is approaching your package. The installation is easy and quick to do since this is a battery powered doorbell. You can use either of the included straight or angled wedge to mount this doorbell. Even though this is advertised as a battery doorbell, you can connect it to your existing chime(s). The estimated battery life of the doorbell is 6 months before you need to recharge, but this could be shorter, depending on your usage.
As with any Eufy camera, the picture quality is amazing. The camera comes with human detection, crisp night vision, and is compatible with voice assistants. The best part about using Eufy devices is all included features work without the need for subscription and everything is stored locally with encryption. The camera also supports two-way audio, so you can communicate using the Eufy app. The app offers plenty of customizations. You can adjust the monitoring area, video quality, duration of the recordings, notifications, managing live feed, etc. to name a few. The only thing I miss with Eufy devices is the lack of HomeKit integration. Overall, this is a quality doorbell with notable features that I would recommend to anyone looking for a new vide doorbell or as an upgrade to their existing one.

I have had this doorbell for 18 months. It just quit. I tried to repair it will no luck. Even customer service couldn't couldn't get it to repair. I sent the company an email with the information they required. Received an email from the company, telling me they wouldn't replaced the doorbell, they wanted to take a video of me trying to repair. What a run around.

I wanted to try out this doorbell because I already had a wired eufy doorbell that I liked and thought the dual camera sounded neat and promising. The battery life stated is around 6 months depending on how active and sensitive you have your recording settings so I figured it wouldn't be too bad to have to pop off the doorbell to charge it a few times per year. Luckily, I don't even have to do that since it still accepts your wired doorbell power to keep the battery topped up.
Setup was pretty simple. If you have an existing wired doorbell, you'll just need to take that off and then this doorbell has setup instructions for all types of materials. Mine was mounted to wood so it was pretty simple. The instructions are pretty helpful so just follow them. Linking the base station and doorbell was also pretty straight forward. The app guides you through the steps pretty well. I'm actually getting better wireless reception to the doorbell and the base station now than I was getting from the same locations when I was connecting my wired doorbell to my own wifi so that's a plus. Just follow the steps in the app and you should be fine. One thing to be aware of is the size of this thing. It's not small. The old eufy doorbell I had looks tiny next to this thing. It's huge when you first see it. It doesn't look weird or too big when it's mounted but it really did throw me when I first opened it and if you have limited space to mount it, that might be a deal breaker.
Configuring the doorbell to your preferences can actually feel a little overwhelming because there are a lot of settings you can tweak. A couple settings that I'm upset are missing are continuous recording mode and any kind of HomeKit support. I was kind of expecting the lack of continuous recording mode since this is advertised as a battery device but when I saw that it can use your existing powered doorbell wires to keep the battery charged, I assumed maybe it would allow it if you had them connected. This is not the case. The battery charged incredibly slow while connected to your doorbell's wired power. I'm not sure if this is by design or just how much juice is flowing through those wires. I suppose this could change with a firmware/software update but I doubt it as the support team responded to my feedback for both of these features saying they just weren't available in this device and they'd let their product team know for future devices (I'm sure they've already known that HomeKit is a desired feature by now).
Some more advanced options let you really tailor your notifications and avoid false positives. This was a HUGE issues with my old wired eufy camera doorbell. Snow, a tree with a few more leaves than yesterday, or a car tire on the side of the road. So many things would register as a human that weren't. I always hoped for some better AI training. This doorbell seems to go above and beyond that. In addition to AI being a much higher advertised feature within the app, this doorbell also has a sort of heat vision as well as radar for depth detection. So far, I haven't received any false positives at all. With these new additions there are also some extra security options like loiter detection that can alert you and/or play a sound alert to the doorbell if it detects someone standing around the door for too long. There's a feature similar to this in regards to your packages that alerts and plays a message if someone tries to steal your package. The radar/detection features even have advanced setup options that allow you to specify the range you want to detect for 8 separate chunks of the detection radius. So you can specify that you want a longer detection range on the left side of the camera but on the right side, you only need a shorter detection range. Should help you eliminate false positives based on what's important for your doorbell to pay attention to.
Which leads to the big feature of this doorbell, the dual camera. I'm finding this really nice. You have a full (depending on the size and position of your front door area) view of your porch or wherever you have this mounted. The bottom camera can also swivel a little bit so you can aim it to get the best view you can. I do wish there was a way to rotate it a little bit as I have my doorbell mounted on the 15 degree plate so the bottom camera views the porch on a bit of an angle which cuts off a couple tiny parts. I find it good enough though. Seeing if we have any packages waiting outside without needing to really stop what we're doing at all is great.
Picture quality of this doorbell is a lot better than my old wired eufy cam. I was pretty impressed with it. They were both 2k doorbells so I didn't imagine a huge difference but you can tell the camera is better right away. The one light we have outside our house actually lights it up well enough outside at night at the night vision doesn't even turn on. But the night vision does turn on for the bottom camera which is a really nice detail that the cameras are separate in that regard. I've seen too many night vision modes that are either too sensitive or too wishy washy (turning on and off over and over). This works great for me. I know every place is different so your milage may vary but my experience so far with overall picture quality is pretty top notch.
Not sure what else to say about this one. It's a great doorbell. A great upgrade from the doorbell I was using already with just continuous recording being the only thing I'll miss and it doesn't seem like eufy ever wants to add HomeKit or HomeKit Secure Video support to their doorbells so I'm not holding my breath on that one. If you're ok with those features being missing and you want a nice doorbell with some more advanced features, this might be the one for you.

Not a good choice, the ring is better. It delays on the notification. The face recognition doesn’t work. I just wish i could take it back and get something else. I’m highly disappointed with this product. Know I just got a piece of junk that’s horrible. I should have stayed with ring or something else.

I was impressed with how easy this doorbell camera was to install. It's battery operated so you don't need to have someone come install it if you're not handy. It comes with a mounting kit to do yourself.
The video quality is crystal clear! It records in 15 second increments whenever it detects significant movement based on your preferences. It has 2 way audio so you can talk to whoever is at your door. Per the specs, you can store roughly 180 days of videos so if there is anything you want to save, you have plenty of space.
The app is easy to use as well. You can make any adjustment to the camera right from the app, as well as monitoring the camera. You can adjust alerts and notifications that alert you on your phone. It says the battery lasts anywhere from 3-6 months depending on your settings which I think is adequate for a heavy use item like this.

I’ve had a Eufy video doorbell for several years and it’s one of those things that once you own you wonder how you lived without it. There’s certainly the important security element of having a camera on your front door. But what I particularly appreciate is just the convenience of being notified when I have visitors whether it be a houseguest, mailman, or a package delivery. I’m generally at work when most deliveries arrive so it’s comforting to know that they’re delivered. What would even be more comforting would be being able to see the package on my porch but my old doorbell’s camera view doesn’t show low enough. Eufy solves that issue with its new Smart Wi-Fi Video Doorbell Dual Camera which has one cam for a typical forward view of a visitor and a second cam with a lower angle view of the area in front of your door. What a brilliant solution and one I was eager to try.
In the box you find the dual cam doorbell, the homebase, power adapter, charging cable, manual, the mounting wedge, a pin to detach the cam, some Eufy security stickers, and the mounting screws. I quickly noticed that the dual camera doorbell is a bit larger that my old Eufy doorbell. The build quality is very nice and has a substantial and solid feel. You need the Eufy Security app to setup the doorbell and homebase. If you already have the app you should make sure you check for the newest version. Also if you already have the Eufy Homebase 2 you should also check for an updated firmware that supports the Dual Camera doorbell. Once I updated both setup was a breeze. You simply select add device and hit the sync button on the rear of the doorbell. I was then ready to mount the doorbell. I don’t have a wired doorbell so I am using the Eufy Dual Cam with its internal battery. But you can wire yours if you do. I really hoped that the mounting bracket would align with the existing holes of my old Eufy doorbell so I wouldn’t have to drill another set of holes. Thankfully they aligned perfectly. The doorbell comes with an optional wedge that is convenient for mounting your doorbell if an angled position is a more ideal view for your mounting location. I use it for mine since otherwise the cam would show too much of a wall near my front door.
After mounting the cam I jumped into the Eufy Security app settings. Here you find a ton of adjustments and customizations. The first I adjust is to select the dual camera view which can either be slit screen or picture in picture. I like the split screen option. When you view your cam you get a live view of both cams and you can then individually select either cam for a full screen view of just the selected camera. You can set video quality. I selected HDR with high quality streaming since I have a fast internet connection. There are several notification options. I selected the one that includes a thumbnail photo of the event. You can select activity zones to fine tune the area of motion detection that the cam utilizes. I set mine to aim at my front gate while avoiding a nearby sidewalk. There is a loitering detection setting which will alert you if someone lurks too long. There is also delivery guard which alerts you to a package delivery and also alerts you if anyone approaches it. The Dual Cam has a facial recognition setting where you can add images of family members so it recognizes them and alerts you to their arrival. There are also doorbell ring auto responses. Auto response allows you to record a message that plays automatically when someone rings your doorbell. When someone rings your doorbell a chime goes off on the homebase and you get a notification on your phone through the app. If you’re at home you can answer the door in person or you can answer remotely by viewing the live video and you can talk through the app to the person at your door and they can talk to you. Video is stored locally on the Homebase which has a 16gb capacity. So there are no additional cloud storage costs like some other doorbells. You can’t beat that.
The Eufy Dual Cam is a high quality full featured doorbell. I get a lot of packages delivered and I love the added view and security of the second camera. I particularly like the downward facing LED lights that activate when the cam detects movement. Definitely recommended.

Dual Camera Doorbell Direct to the Phone

The Eufy 2K Full HD Doorbell Dual Camera with Double Security is an impressive security doorbell camera that ensures protection and peace of mind to any resident. For initial setup, the home base comes with its own power adapter and cord to plug it into the router. To charge the doorbell, I wish a separate charging cube had been included in the set instead of just the micro-usb cord; however, you are able to plug the usb cord into the homebase2 and charge the device from there. Overall, initial setup was as simple as following the directions within the app. A firmware update was initiated upon activating the homebase2, which did not take long. I have previously used Eufy security products, and the integration of the doorbell into the app is a fantastic addition.
Once fully charged, the camera has a 6-month battery life which is a wonderful feature. Honestly one of my favorite things about Eufy products overall being the battery life. You can monitor the camera’s battery life with the icon provided within the app to know when it needs to be charged. I appreciated the instant notifications when movement (both near and far) is detected that go straight to my phone; or another family members! I like that once enabled, the viewer can choose to record any live activity with the camera.
This model also offers Advanced AI Family Recognition which is ideal because it recognizes family members and alerts you to any unknown/unfamiliar visitors. The newly-introduced dual camera feature offers a low-angle camera to ensure any blindspots or distortion of image are eliminated; providing a clear and vivid picture of your doorstep at all times. Having the second camera that faces downward is ideal for package delivery. Allowing clear view of both the person who delivers/walks up to the door along with what is placed.
Eufy promises that all data recorded with the device is kept private and stored locally. This is an ideal feature of Eufy; in that you have access to the data, aren’t subscribing to a service to use the camera, and can go back whenever you need to view events. I know my wife and I have truly enjoyed having and rely upon our Eufy cameras to check on each other. With the addition of the doorbell, we are able to see visitors as they approach, ensure safety when we are not together, and view any packages we are waiting for. The quality of Eufy security cameras is very impressive and the interface is easy to navigate even if you are not tech-savvy. Even if it is raining or snowing, you can still clearly receive live footage. On top of that, having night vision is as always a fantastic feature.
All in all, this is a fantastic doorbell camera. When approaching the doorbell, there is a ring that lights up. This ring still functions as a normal doorbell, creating a chime. This chime comes from the doorbell itself; therefore, most notification is through the app within the home. However, one can access the camera quickly through the app, and also speak to the person at the door. This is ideal for delivery drivers who sometimes become impatient waiting for the door to open. With a recorded record of the event along the way. I am happily satisfied with this addition to Eufy security.

SUMMARY
---------------
I always loved Anker and Eufy Products - True wireless headphones, Indoor cameras, robovac etc and they always stand by their products with excellent customer support. This is no different.
This doorbell has a local storage so you NEVER PAY subscription and this doorbell really pays for itself in a year considering the difference in price vs. other doorbells which require subscription.
I have used Ring doorbell and Blink doorbell and both of them give me false alarm with insects crossing the path OR a car. I love the human detection and do not get false detections.
THIS IS THE VIDEO DOORBELL YOU NEED TO GET.

Setup
--------
Detailed setup instructions are on YouTube. First connect the homebase, Charge the doorbell and then mount it on the wall with the provided screws and brackets. Make sure that the doorbell is in correct position so that you can actually check for a good angle.
You will need the Eufy security app to connect the camera to your phone. The app works really well with all the cameras and the doorbell.
The app is intuitive and provides good notifications. I
Usage
---------
Everything's on the app, the app provides alerts and notifications. I love the fact that it has preset responses which you can provide to someone who rings the bell.
You can also setup something call the loitering monitoring and setup.
The camera can also be setup to only look at a zone so that you are not monitoring for any movement on the road.
I love the fact that you can setup for human OR any detection within a zone.
So you can have the camera look for any movement when you are away..
I wish the camera had echo integration but it does integrate with the google hub. I also miss the chime, although I like the notification on my phone.
I have a blink doorbell which integrates with amazon echo and echo does notify with an audio signal that someone is at the door.
I think for the price factoring in NO SUBSCRIPTION, is an actually a worthy option.

Easy to install, and quick to add to my current system. I have 6 other cameras with eufy, and this one I didn’t have. The quality is good, and the sound is clear. Being able to see my packages now is simply the reason I wanted this doorbell, nothing more. I get tons of boxes left on my doorstep, and this is a must have for me. Only con would be the price, and the fact that it’s battery operated. It’s a little high for a doorbell setup, I trust eufy as a company. They have great products.

I am extremely impressed by the Eufy Security 2K Dual Cam Video Doorbell. It has more features than any other doorbell I tested, it captures more events, filters out false events and it was a breeze to install.
Over the last few months, I have been climbing deeper and deeper into the EUFY security ecosystem. I have multiple Eufy security cameras and even the door lock. Everything seems to just work well and doesn't need any subscription service. This week I added the Dual Cam Doorbell, and I couldn't be happier. It has so many awesome features that I will give you my top 5 in no specific order.
1. The doorbell and homebase were easy to install. I was surprised to learn that it also had the capability to be wired to the chime that was built into the house.
2. When you walk up to the door at night it illuminates two down firing led lights. They aren't the brightest lights, but they provide enough light to make the entrance and doorbell visible.
3. Day or night, the smart detection feature captures excellent video quality. Also, every snapshot contained in the push notification provides a clear picture of a visitor's face.
4. When you turn on the delivery guard feature the second camera provides notifications of when packages are delivered, picked up or left outside too long.
5. The built in AI filters out false events. My old smart doorbell used to give me false alerts every time the wind moved the tree in front of my house. With the EUFY Security Doorbell I have never received a false alert.
With all that being said. I love this doorbell and highly recommend it.

Doorbell cameras are becoming a pretty regular thing and it had been a while since I saw any new features on one that grabbed my attention. However the dual camera feature of this you Eufy doorbell did exactly that and I was excited to try it. And I have to say, it did not disappoint.
It takes a little getting used to with the split images, it’s kind of a funky view sometimes. However it’s entirely practical, so it hasn’t been that big of a deal for me to get used to. I have a small front porch and can never see packages once they’re delivered to my porch. They are out of sight of the camera, which is always a little frustrating to me in case I’m not home and want to keep an eye on it until I can grab it. I love the fact that I can clearly see who is delivering the package, but then also see the actual package on the ground. It seems like a small thing and yet can be really useful as well. For instance, I knew something was triggering my camera at night but couldn’t tell what it was because it was always out of sight on my old doorbell cam. I am both relieved and alarmed to know that it was a skunk visiting my porch almost every night. At least with the Eufy I know to avoid going outside to late at night when I may get some unwanted visitors!
I’ve had several doorbell cameras, and set up for this one was comparable to others. Simple and straightforward especially if you’ve done it before. The other features that typically come standard these days on a doorbell camera are all there, work well, and I have no complaints.

This is our second Eufy doorbell and probably the 5th Anker product I have reviewed and like all the others this is a great product. First, if you have not heard about Anker, watch out for them as they have been consistently good with their plans and execution and is a bankable eletronics company, in my humble opinion and experience.
The only problem with the doorbell was a firmware update that was needed to enable the homebase find the device as it is a very new release. Once that was sorted, everything else was a piece of cake. The installation is super easy. And the connection of the homebase with the wifi and the app controls are seamless. This particular doorbell has a better resolution than the previous version and the thin lag is much better. Sound recording and hearing is suitable for use and the indoor chime is apt. The daylight reception is good and the night vision is fine as well. Motion detect is accurate and may be a tad too accurate depending on the location of the doorbell so plan accordingly. The app performance is consistent and you keep getting regular updates for any movements. The facial recognition feature may need a bit of fine-tuning, specially in lower light scenes but is not a deal breaker.
Also, most importantly, no subscription is required, ever. There is just this one time cost with the purchase price and that's it. It is a wonderful long run discount and can help the consumer save a lot of money

This is my second Eufy Video Doorbell and the quality is outstanding. I love the split view that this provides, as it shows a view of the foot/ground level along with the standard view the person at your door. I can easily identify the delivery company and the package being delivered just through the phone application.
Eufy has a very good algorithm for detecting human shapes and greatly reduces the number of alerts it provides. I only care about people outside of my home and this is the best I have seen for this kind of filtering.
If you have an existing HomeBase, you will need to use the one provided with the product. It does take a new unit to interface with this device. The phone application easily handles multiple products and it’s very easy to switch back and forth. I have two other Eufy cameras that I use both inside and outside of my home.

In the box:
- eufy security 2k Dual Camera Video Doorbell
- Homebase 2
- USB, ethernet cable, power adapter
- mounting brackets, camera release/reset pin
I'll start by saying setup was a little more complicated than expected. I am reviewing the eufy security 2k dual camera when the device is very new. If you run into difficulties, you need to be home firmware 3.1.6.6h (or later) for the Homebase 2. It also helps to restart the Homebase 2 after the update. I cannot emphasize this enough, especially if you get a confusing error telling you the Homebase2 is not compatible (it is compatible, it's just a firmware issue).
You pair the Homebase 2 to the eufy security app, which requires you to create a (free) account. Setup of the Homebase 2 requires an ethernet connection (cable included). The Homebase2 was easy to setup, the camera was a little more complicated. Even though the camera has a QR-type code on the back, the app generates a QR code that you need the camera to "see" in order to do the setup. It took 2-3 goes for me to get the camera to see the QR code. I think it was the glare from the sun on my phone causing the issues, but in the end I got there by scanning the QR code in a more shaded area of my porch.
Once you're all setup, you can install the eufy dual camera. There are 2 mounting plates, a flat one and then a reversible angled mounting in case you need a bit of an angle to get a proper field of view. I would encourage you to experiment a few times before installing to find the best position for the doorbell camera. The lower camera can be tilted (a very little bit) left or right to get the best angle. You will need to make sure the doorbell is able to make a good WiFi connection. I didn't do range tests, because it's about 12-15feet from my doorbell to my router and the Homebase2 but just
In my tests, video quality was very good. There's a slight delay as the signal encrypts. This is why I recommend you use ethernet for the Homebase2. It does let you setup using WiFi but given you're trying to stream video in real time from a doorbell to the Homebase to your phone wherever you a located.... well you may be asking too much of your home network.
The big question though is video quality. I find the eufy 2k video quality good. There's some AI smarts to recognize packages, family members, and motion detection. Our front porch is a little shielded from the street, so my motion detection tests were mostly close range so no false positives. I did experiment with the smart package alerts, and this is where the AI and eufy dual camera really shines, the second camera looks down and can detect packages. The second camera eliminates that lower field of view blind spot on other video doorbells - something I didn't even think about until I used the eufy. I have done all of these tests myself, pretending to the UPS, getting a family member to walk past the camera, etc. and it all seems to work as promised. Excited to see how this plays out over the coming weeks and whether the eufy will mean the end of porch pirates!
eufy's big selling point on this camera is that there's no monthly fees. The Homebase2 has 16gb of storage (you can't dd more) and the camera is wireless (so good for renters). The battery in the camera unit is, according to eufy, rated for 6 months. I have only been playing with this for a few days, so can't comment on how true the claim is - I guess battery lifespan will be determined by how many friends you have visiting oor packages you get delivered. The camera recharges via micro USB (wish it was USB C).
Overall, the eufy dual camera doorbell is a smart update to single camera video doorbells. Yes, there's some initial setup complexity but after that it's very much set and forget. If you want a doorbell with smarts to watch for packages, that's wireless, and don't want to be slugged with monthly subscription charges, then this is for you.
Pros. Wireless, no monthly fees, dual cameras, AI to recognize packages
Cons. Minor complexity on setup.
FYI. What I didn't test is that the doorbell/camera unit can also receive power from standard doorbell wires. I don't have these, but it's an option if you have them.
I would recommend this to a friend

I had the single camera version of this prior and really liked it, so when this new improved version came out I had to have it. Overall I'm glad I upgraded. I really like the second camera that lets me see down below the camera to where delivery people sometimes leave my packages. This new version also does a better job of recognizing people. I haven't had very many false trigger events, and that allowed me to turn up the sensitivity a little higher than before on the older version. I also like how the sensitivity zone is broken up into multiple smaller zones so I can adjust it to be more sensitive in areas I care more about, like where I park my truck. The new package notification feature is kind of cool, but it only worked correctly 1 time out of 4 deliveries. It kinda worked halfway on one of the other deliveries after the package had been on the porch all day, it noticed when I picked it up to bring it in the house. I really really like that it stores the videos locally and I can download them for free without having to buy a service plan. To me that's the best feature by far. And I've had several different brands of security systems, and this one has the best phone app in my opinion as well. I highly recommend this Doorbell camera system to anyone looking for a good no nonsense camera set up to watch over their front porch, it works great, and is easy to use and configure.
