Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased this on Dec 1, 2018. It worked great, no cold spots, fast, efficient. For a family of just 2 adults, it did what it was supposed to do very well. It started malfunctioning in Feb 2023. We set the time and pushed start, the timer started, the cooking didn't. We found if we played with the door release, it will come on. I don't know how much longer we will be able to safely use this, but I don't think much longer. I'm not sure how long the manufacturer intended this type of appliance should last, (from what we've read, it should be 7 years), but our previous microwave lasted over 12 years. I guess the old saying is true, "They don't make them like they used to!" For the price, 4 years isn't great, but considering the warranty is only 1 year, apparently GE doesn't have much faith in what they make either. Sad.
