So easy to video grab from old camcorder tapes. I don't use it regularly but each time I turn it on, it just works intuitively. Set up was quite easy. Love that it records at 60 FPS and takes advantage of UB3 for quality and speed.

We have used this device for a few weeks now and it is behaving well. Installation was uneventful. We are using the composite video input ad the video quality is reasonable. Works much more reliably than the previous product we used.

It works out of the box after installing the disc that came with it. I am still trying to figure out how to make it work with other software. I am satisfied with the result. Do not pay more than $200.00 for it as there are other better option at higher price ranges.

It does capture video from many types of sources, but unfortunately I had constant problems with it dropping frames. This was especially apparent on interlaced content from old video games, as sometimes they used alternate fields to create transparency effects, or even to run the game at an effective 60FPS. I could achieve a full quality recording sometimes, but other times it would sometimes drop fields and destroy these effects, and I wasn't changing any settings between captures. Also, the drivers tended to crash if I configured them using anything but the capture software the device came with (not good for me as I was trying to use OBS, which actually did sometimes produce better output than the software the device came with, but still never perfect output). So, in the end, it was device that worked, but with disappointing quality.
Note that some of these issues *could* be computer-related. I was able to get good quality recordings sometimes (not all the time) on my desktop, but I was never able to get a good quality recording on my laptop, despite using the same software, drivers, and settings. I don't know if you might have better luck with a faster computer or better graphics card than mine. But even in a worst-case scenario, it was still using less than 20% CPU on my systems, so it really should have been doing a better job. I am betting it's more of a driver issue than a hardware issue.
