This laptop is excellent for the price. It manages to play most games on low/medium settings and is excellent for general computing. For the price, I was happy to see that this laptop could even run Fallout 4 (though on lowest settings). I did do one upgrade after a couple months, I replaced the 1 TB hard drive with a 250 GB solid state drive. This improved boot time and some application load time significantly. I gave this to my son for his first computer. He loves it and is able to play the games he likes (Minecraft, Roblox, and Slime Rancher), watch netflix, and learn to use a computer more effectively. Additionally, Windows 10 has much better parental controls than previous versions of Windows and can even send me weekly activity reports. This laptop has great performance for its price range. I recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile low-cost laptop.

Great for the casual computer user looking for a serviceable comp to surf the web, use excel/work applications not looking to break the bank. Great price point, very happy with speed, performance, screen size and weight.

Picked up this laptop as a replacement for my mother for her birthday. It's quite faster than her older model that it being a quad-core with a snappy GPU. (Compared to her old dual core intel GPU) For someone who does a lot of Facebook, web publishing, graphic design, Facebook gaming, and some light 3D gaming it runs very smoothly. So it was a perfect replacement for my mom. I would have given this laptop 5 stars but there's no user serviceable ports so I'll wait until the warranty is up before changing the hard drive or RAM if my mother needs it. Otherwise it's a great budget model and great bang for you buck.

Basic mobile computing needs are easily handled by this HP. Doesn't do anything flashy, but what do you expect at this price point? HD is slow, but 1TB. Memory is okay at 6GB of RAM. Probably wouldn't recommend this as this was purchased to meet an immediate need. There's better out there at this price, but you may have to hunt around and/or wait for a deal. Pros: Price, DVD+/-RW (if you need that) Cons: Low resolution, glossy screen

Did a lot of research before buying this. I don;t do anything special with it, no gaming, or high-tech working or producing. The battery life is non-existent. Literally, it discharges at nearly 1% per minute. I have never even made it 2 hours without having to plug it in and that is with simple email surfing and even some "sleep" time. The keyboard is not comfortable or user friendly from an ergonomic standpoint at all and the power cord is shaped like an "L" instead of a simple straight insert. This makes it awkward to use, it gets in the way of the your work surface, and is easily pulled loose without you realizing it (that is NOT why the battery is dropping). There is also no light on the cord/box to indicate that it is plugged in/running on AC which I had on my Dell and which was very convenient. No light on computer at all to tell you if it is even turned on. You have to go to it and mess with the mouse to find out. Still thinking about returning it just based on poor battery life alone. Feeling a little "ripped off"... Otherwise, it is a basic laptop - not super speedy - and it works, which is all I really needed. Could have gotten that for less money though.

Not a fan of windows 10 but the laptop is doing well. Not a high end gamer but do some and it's handling the one game I put on it very nice (warqframe) mostly bought for office type work. Will do some web development. Setting it up for that but normally use my desktops for that.

Meets my expectations. If looking for affordable all purpose WIN based laptop look no further. Launches apps fast. Great visual; like touch/feel of keyboard. Streams movies Netflix & you tube with no issues. Very happy 30 days into it.

The laptop has a lot going for it and the price point is excellent. Outside seems a bit cheap, but that is my only negative comment. Otherwise, it is fast and does everything I want it to do. I'd buy it again.

Not a bad laptop at all. Bought this for a DJ gig and ended up using it for much more. Not a powerhouse by any means, but not anything to laugh at either. I have an HP desktop and love it so I did a little bit of research on this laptop. Definitely liking this so far.

It doesn't have a long battery, about 2 hours before it dies. I only use it for my job, so it works for me. Otherwise, it is very lightweight. I definitely enjoy it.

Needed an inexpensive laptop for work and this has proven to work out very well. Good speed when on the internet, no issues with it so far. If I get a few years out of it it will be worth it.

Power house for the money. A12 with 6GB Ram and 1TB. Used only for ham radio programming and lite internet use. Had 5 months with about 10 hours total use time and all the sudden if you touched the screen frame or keyboard frame it rebooted itself. Took to B.B. tech guys and they sent it in. Found short in harness from main board to screen power ribbon. While it was “out” I purchased a new laptop as a spare. When I got #1 home I gave it to my granddaughter for school. She’s crazy in live with it. Most kids in 8th grade are in Chromebooks. Those slow under powered items are really useless.

My dad needed a new computer for his online business and I picked this up for him; It was only $279.99! What a deal. The laptop is buttery smooth (in terms of memory) and has a big hard drive. It's not super high-end but for basic functions, it's perfect.

I've had my HP Laptop for a few months now and I have no complaints. It's simple to use. I don't care much for touchscreen laptops. However, I bought the laptop for storing and printing pictures, some gaming, and personal use. So far So Good!

Nice PC for a reasonable price. Wish the power button had a light on it and that the light on the Caps Lock button was bigger. Like that it blows air out the side instead of out the bottom like my old PC does. Setup went smoothly except that I couldn't get my HP Envy 5330 printer setup via USB connection. Had to setup as wifi instead. Appears to handle all of my apps fine. I would recommend as a basic PC.
