A Best Buy Associate recommended the Insignia Wireless Remote Shutter Control for Nikon to me for my Nikon DSLR camera and this was one of the best purchases I ever made. I would strongly recommend it to anyone interested in posing for group shots.

We own a Nikon D3400. According to the description and other user comments this remote should have worked well. Unfortunately our experience wasn't as good as others. Initially the remote would not function after pulling out the plastic separator at the battery, and I was unable to get the battery compartment open to check and make sure the battery was properly seated. After several sharp taps onto my palm the remote started working. The following day we took the remote into the field for real world use, in short the functionality was passable at best. The range is listed at 33 feet, but we were at ranges less than that and it was not consistent in operation. The remote had to be directly pointed at the camera's sensor to work, and even then it was not guaranteed. We returned this product because it was not up to our expectations. We replaced the generic remote with the manufacturer's remote and the functionality exponentially increased. For basically the same price, I would recommend the manufacturer's remote instead.

This little remote is nothing fancy, but it does the job. Super cool to have if you set up a photo booth at a party, want candids, or a fast time-lapse. Also a necessary piece of equipment for macro, long-exposure, and super crisp images.

I'm a beginner in photography so I get excited when I have a new gadget to play with. I love this remote shutter! I had an entire photo shoot just taking pics of myself since I'm always behind the camera. So much fun!!!

I bought this for my girlfriend to take pictures of herself for her clothing design website. It does the job well and you can stand at a decent range from the camera to use it (far enough to get a couple of full body shots. My only complaint is when buying it it doesn't say which cameras it is compatible with. I winged it and thankfully it worked with one of my DSLRs but it's still very inconvenient for anyone buying it.

Love this product so convenient for family portraits or taking pictures of babies and children especially when they don't stay still you can catch them in the right moment. Definitely recommend this product to any photographer.

I started to use the wireless remote shutter for my Nikon. It paired up perfectly. When I tried it out, it was very easy and worked right away. I would recommend it for taking photos of the moon on the tripod.

I purchased this with slight skepticism. I was very happy to find that it works Flawlessly with my Nikon D 5500. When the button is depressed the camera quickly focuses and takes the immediate shot

I purchase this for a photo booth I created for my friends kid birthday party. It was so fun and easy to use. Everyone loves it all I had to do was set up the camera and all the guest had to do was point and shoot.

I bought this after trying to do a self portrait over and over using the 10 second delay feature on my Nikon D5300. Needless to say it made my job a lot easier and worked seamlessly with Nikon product out if the box.

Allows for vibration compensation by not having to press button to take photos. Great for taking group photos that you need to be part of. Lots of uses beyond that but so far good addition to camera.

The remote works fine with my D7100 in auto and shutter priority operating modes and in manual mode with shutter speed selected as "time". Other modes weren't checked. Figuring out its function when shutter speed is selected as "bulb" will take some more effort; currently, pressing and holding the remote button takes multiple shots in "bulb". Moving the release tab and withdrawing the battery compartment takes several tries each time, but the compartment easily snaps back into place.

Does the job at a rather reasonable price as I don't see the point in spending large sums of money on something I'll probably lose at some point.

I have used this with a tripod and it works great to keep you from running in and out of a picture. My camera's self timer does the same but this is easier.

This product worked like advertised, my only problem was not reading the camera manual on setting things up correctly. After reading on how to set everything up it worked correctly.
