Dose map but doesn't tell you have to do it 3 times. the map is ok but need to map better. Work well on the carpet but ok on tile floors. You will need to block place that you don't want it to go in the room. Once you do all this with trial and error it work great for me. then I have Alexa and nice to have the Irobot to clean a room.

The i7+ is the best robot vacuum I've ever used (for the price). It's a big commitment to buy a Roomba vacuum of any level. Honestly they're expensive. The i7+ is worth it. It's made with quality materials, and the companion app is top notch and easy to use. This robot actually maps your floor, so when it starts up it knows where it's going, and not aimlessly wondering your home. The 9 series has more suction but costs alot more. i7+ has ample suction and is the best bang for the buck when it comes to top notch performance and set and forget features. It even empties itself. I scheduled mine to run the whole house everyday at the same time. It takes about 3 months for the bag to fill up and need changing. Roomba will tell you when it's full. You can set it to vacuum the whole house or just in certain places. you can set focused areas and keep out zones. So if you need special attention in front of the couch or by the back door, you can send roomba there instead of vacuuming the whole house before it ends up there. The keep out zones are great for me because I don't want Roomba pushing my cats water bowl across the house sloshing water everywhere. The onboard camera will see objects and try to avoid it, or at least slow down to do a bump test to see if it will move. In most cases it will try to push past objects incase they're just curtains. i7+ is a must for homes with pets. It will also communicate with the Braava Jet robomop. Negatives: it's a robot with a camera, so it needs at least a little light to see or it will pause. Like all robot vacuums, you'll have to "roomba proof" your house to make sure it doesn't suck up a sock or charger cord. It does kinda force you to have better habits so it's not that bad.

Purchased I7+ because it was a Black Friday special at Best Buy. It isn't the latest or greatest because of it's age but the price was right. The self cleaning feature is great and the mapping feature is very accurate. I hope it lasts a long time and when it's time to replace it I will definitely look at the iRobot brand.

Absolutely love this thing! It does struggle from time to time navigating around our kitchen table and chairs but it figures it out eventually. It does sound like a little rocketship taking off when it empties into the charging base, but it doesnt bother us with the schedule we have it on. The app is easy to use and I have yet to have any issues with it.

Life changing! We had an earlier model that did a beautiful job but when I got the self emptying model, it changed my life forever! We schedule it every day at 8:30 AM to vacuum and it does. My floors have never been cleaner. Definitely a great purchase and I highly recommend to everyone!

Our newest family members is a time saver! Roomba goes everywhere we need him too. Took a few days to map but no issues with pet hair (3 large dogs), carpet to hardwood transitions, or entry way transitions. Roomba is louder on the hardwood than on tile or carpet but considerably less loud than a regular vacuum. He has no problem returning to the home base emptying the dirt and returning to work. We have the Roomba scheduled for everyday at 9. We couldn't be happier with our purchase!

Not as good as my 5 but it is still pretty good. with having all hardwood downstairs it works awesome! I have three dogs and two cats and it keeps the hair up off the floors at least lol!!

I had been contemplating buying this for a while and finally made the leap. Could not be more pleased thus far. It took about 3 passes for it to map out our 1st floor and the cleanings took about 3 hours because it had to recharge midway. Now that we have a smart map it takes less time based on our cleaning schedule. We have 2 dogs with a lot of hair and the Roomba has no problem vacuuming the dog hair and it does not get caught in the rollers. Has made my life less stressful

Great robot vacuum! Very quiet, great suction picking up debris. The rubber extractors are very easy to clean and maintain. The robot navigates it’s terrain properly with neat straight row paths, although can sometimes bump into objects a bit harder than expected. Also the side brush spins very fast which can scatter debris in corners onto already swept areas on hard floors, so a double pass is recommended to owners. The clean base is of course pretty loud which is to be expected for strong airflow cleaning the dustbins to the bag, but it does its job great and you don’t have to worry about emptying the dustbin. The robot can learn its surrounding and be programmed where Not to go, specific rooms, and even more precisely specified zones to clean. It can also learn obstacles and patterns and even assume certain furniture areas, or areas to keep out if it has trouble there. To be more specific on that, basically it means if you have not labeled where the couch is in a space like living room. Once it detects the legs of the couch after a certain number of run times it could ask you on the app if that area is the couch and would you want to make it a Clean Zone. Overall very smart and thorough cleaning robot, and will get even smarter with future updates.

I'm loving my new Roomba i7. This is the 3rd gen Roomba I've owned and they keep getting better. I have 2 black long hair cats and dark wood floors. A daily Roomba run keeps invisible pet hair at bay. Its straight-line sweeping pattern is a wonderful change from the random "hope it eventually hits everywhere" world of my last model. I'm still refining the app programming and tie-in to Alexa so I can command it to clean a specific area but that's because of my lack of time, not the app or the machine. It does miss the extreme inside corners where wall meets wall - something the S9 is supposed to be able to do. But for the price differential, I can clean the corners myself in a few min and pocket the savings. The first time it did its auto dirt disposal, it was louder than I expected but it just takes a couple of seconds and now I'm used to it; however, it would likely wake me up if I had it scheduled to clean late at night. I was mesmerized at first watching it "think" as it diagnosed my floor plan and furniture layout including the difference between a chair, a bed, and a reach-in closet - it literally pauses and thinks. But it seems to have figured it all out now without any assistance from me. It honestly seems confused when something is out of place (!) but it gets over it and gets on with its work. It's amazing to me that it empties itself and then knows exactly where to return to continue where it left off without any assistance at all. It negotiates with ease the transitions between hardwood floors, wall-to-wall carpeted bedrooms, area rugs and tile. It hasn't gotten itself hung up once. I highly recommend this Roomba model.

Great Product that makes it much easier to keep the floors clean. It does get lost under things, but if you keep up with the app and it learns where to go, it gets better.
