The Roomba i7+ has been an excellent purchase. It cleans well and does what it is supposed to. The mapping feature is quite good, but it did miss one wall in my house that I'll let slide. It's nice how you can tell it what room to clean when you want it to clean. I suggest using it when you are away or don't mind the noise because this roomba is quite loud.

This vacuum is great. The first self-emptying bag has lasted so long. It really is amazing that it finds its home base from so far away. I would totally recommend this to everyone on the fence about a robot vacuum.

Perfect for a variety of flooring: tile, laminate, and slightly thicker carpet. Despite it being a little on the noisy side my family still gives it a 5 because of clean up and ease of use. Reduces the amount of time needed to sweep and vacuum. Great for people with back issues too.

a little spotty mapping floor plan. Also it needs the home lights on in each room to map & clean. We run it at night as we work from home to avoid the irobot noise during zoom calls. It does a good job overall but still do a hand vacuuming prior to guest visits.

This is our first purchase of a Roomba vacuum. The charging station is convenient and the vacuum does a great job learning the layout of your home. If you vacuum once a week you’ll be amazed at how much dirt the vacuum picks up. It’s quick once it learns the layout and is fairly quiet…except the emptying into the bin! Overall very impressed and glad we finally purchased Roomba.

Works well and helpful. Instructions for initial installation and usage sheet enclosed is not sufficient to start the unit. Need step by step instructions of the unit how to start the cleaning process. sheet enclosed in the box is only take half a way.

This thing sucks...up all the dog fur on my floor. Honestly nice to not have to step on crunchies as this thing goes around cleaning while I'm obviously not. The dog wants to eat it though, so some self defense machine learning might be a nice software update in the future.

Replaced my old roomba. This is a great value if you can get it for the deals Beat Buy has. Love the device and have it set up to clean 3 times a week. Minimal maintenance and parents love the clean house. Works great on the all tile floors.

This performs even better than I expected! We have a new home that has all wood floors so we weren't sure of the results. The system is great! It has mapped the house so we can do the very nice controls via Alexa. With the app one can pick which room to clean and when! The auto dumping is so great as the house is one floor and it does take a couple of recharges to finish. All done automatically!

I am about 1 week post purchase and I have to say this is one of the best products I have ever purchased. Yes, it is expensive, and worth every dollar. I have a 90 lb Labrador retriever who sheds a great deal. I have owned a Deebot N79 for a few years and always had to babysit the device as it would continually get stuck, or the bin would require emptying. The I7+ has yet to get stuck, and when the bin is full it runs back to the docking station where it is automatically emptied, and off again to complete the job. This is a must-have feature in my view. After the first 4 trips around my 1800SF home, it creates dividers based on its memory and you name each room on the map. This morning I instructed the Roomba to clean only the kitchen, very impressively it was done in less than 15 minutes. I also programmed it to automatically clean the entire house M,W,F at 9AM while my dog and I are not home. Don't waste your money on any robot vacuum that does not automatically empty its bin. Pay up for this product and you will never regret it.

We love our new Roomba i7+. This is our first robot vacuum. It has worked very well in our home. We had an initial start-up issue that the company had to send a replacement part. This was disappointing, but all has been good since.

Was skeptical about this product when I bought it. The Roomba is awesome and helps to keep my busy household dust and hair free. I used to vacuum every other day, now I only have to vacuum and deep clean about 1 a week and this is to get the areas that I do not let the Roomba into.

After three weeks of working Mo-Tu-Fr, from 9 AM to 11AM, charging 1 hour and another working hour. "Spills" the garbage into the sack of the base. It is well programmed, goes around obstacles, table and chairs legs. When dirt sack has to be emptied, sends a message to my iPhone. The dirt bag is on the expensive side. I like Roby (that's its name).

It stops allot because of battery capacity but it cleans up good, paraphrased from my wife. Also don’t buy this at full price this review is at half off on Black Friday. I would rate a 2 if I paid full price off like $850

Former 585 owner, looking for a perfect upgrade

We have been using our Roomba 585 for the better part of a decade. Its still running just fine (having replaced a few parts and battery over the years). It does a fine job, but there are several things about it, that after all this time, have become annoying. This will apply to all the Roombas that don't hold an internal map. This particular model, the i7+ fixed them all. 1) Lesser models requires you to be home to run it. With no smart mapping, you have to set up "electronic walls" to have it clean a space, but not others. All but the most advanced Roombas dont "map", they randomly roam. In very large areas, without the "walls", they run over the same area 4 or 5 times, and some areas barely. 2) Lesser models require you to be home to run it part 2. Without an "app", and the permanent map, you have to start it with a button. The i7+ learns a map of the entire house (this will require initial set-up). Once its done learning, you can set up schedules of which rooms to clean, and when. We have a dog, and close the doors to the bedrooms while we are out - its simple to have the i7 clean the common rooms (which have the dog fur) during the day, finishing just before we come home. Then, on Saturday (house cleaning day for us), we open the doors, and have the i7 clean the bedrooms (all programed, no interaction from us at all, other then opening the doors by 10:00am (the time I have programed). 3) Lesser models require you to be home to run it part 3. The bin has to be emptied when full. Depending on the size of the bin, and the amount of "dirt" (dog fur in our case), the bin will have to be emptied a lot. Our 585, specifically made for dog fur, has a very large bin - but weekly cleaning fills it. A few daily runs can be completed in between empties. The i7+ empties itself after every run, or in the middle of a run (in the case of a huge run - like all 2700 sq ft of our living space). 4) Lesser models require you to be home to run it part 4. We upgraded the battery pack of the 585 - its about as much battery as you can get. But, its not enough battery to clean the entire house. These less intelligent models will "dock" when the battery runs low. The problem is, it doesnt have a map, or remember where it was or what it was doing once docked. That means, you have to use the walls to confine its space, so YOU know where it quit, and what it hasn't cleaned. The i7+ appears to have a much smaller battery - it doesnt run as long as the extended battery in the 585 - but it doesnt matter. When the i7+ needs to charge, it just goes home and charges. When its done charging, it knows exactly what it has cleaned, and what it hasn't, and just automatically goes back, and finishes the job. 5) Problem spots - The 585 had a few issues with getting stuck or catching wires. We typically had to use the "walls" to keep it out of spots (constantly moving them from room to room) to keep it out of trouble, or just picking it up, movinging it, and resetting it when it got stuck. Our trouble spots where: the slider track for the glass sliding doors, the gap under the entertainment center was too large for the bumpers, but too narrow for the top (it would wedge unter it until stuck), the electrical cords around an end table (light cord, cordless phone station, electric recliner cord, and cell phone chargers), and running over dog waste when he had an accident. The i7+ fixed all of that. The slider track and wires were still a problem for the i7+. But the smart map allowed us to set up very small "stay out" zones. I simply added a few inches of "stay out" at those spots, and its run flawlessly, coming right to the edge of them. It fits under the entertainment center - its more advanced eyes, and better fitting bumper keep it from trying to go all the way under, it just cleans about 4-6 inches under, and treats it more like a wall with a recess. That works perfectly. The dog always uses the same spot when he has an accident - so we set up that space as its own "room" on the smaart map (you could set up several if needed). I left that "room" off the schedule, and, using the app, have it clean that space on Saturday, after I have checked it. 6) Noise - The 585 (and all the previous generations) are loud. I mean, cant watch a football game with them running loud. The i7 is much quieter - but not silent. You will not want this running in the same room you are in if you need to use your ears. But, unlike the 585, you CAN have it cleaning other rooms, and hear just fine. 7) Electronic walls - We have 4 "walls" for the 585, and could really use several more. The i7+ only comes with one. And we haven't even put the batteries in it. I guess you could use them, if you didn't use the app and create a smart map. But if you do use the smart map - you wont need any "walls" at all. Bottom line: The less sophisticated versions require you to manage them constantly. While they clean just fine, they require you to "run them" while you are home. This means you come home to a dirty house, and have to deal with them and their nose every day (or however often you clean). Certainly an upgrade from manually cleaning with a vacuum cleaner, more on par with directing your kid to run the vacuum, and managing that. The i7+ is a whole new level. Now, we come home to a clean house. No noise, no managing - it just happens in our absence. The bags that the bin empties into holds about 30 bins - and once its full, its a good time to clean the brushes on the i7+ - for us that's about once a month (we run it daily). A daily chore just disappeared. That's the difference.

I have hardwood floors and two shedding dogs..gotta love a corgi. I tried the dust mopping everyday and vacumning. This rumba is awesome. I questioned buying an i series rather than at least a j. But this covers my needs very well.
