I had purchased a shark version of this just to see if I would like it and if my dog would eat it or not. When he left it alone, I decided to take the plunge and purchase the true version. My only regret is that I waited 6 months to do it. With my shark version, I could sweep with my dyson upright sweeper and still pick up stuff. With the roomba, Umberto is mine's name, there is no need to sweep. It does a great dog with dirt and dog hair. Carpet looks fantastic and house smells great because the dog hair is cleaned up more often.

Have been very pleased with the Roomba. Can program where to and no to go. Love that!

Long term review of our i7. We love it! It has been through the wringer with our three indoor cats, Labrador Retriever. The hair seems to be the number 1 issue, it requires a weekly checkout to remove hair buildup on "Gutter Broom" and main rollers. Other than that, its been an awesome addition to the family. Don't buy the CHEAP aftermarket replenishables(brooms, rollers, filters, etc.). They are mostly junk and don't work right or don't last as long as the iRobot brand.

Ive been using this since I bought it, roughly 3 months. For hard surfaces it’s great. On carpet, it left clumps of dog hair everywhere. At least it clumped it up for me. My dog was 5 months old when I got this, so he wasn’t even shedding that badly. Look at all reviews, it’s terrible on carpet for pet hair. I moved to a house where the downstairs is almost all hard floors. I keep the carpet closed off, this thing works great for the rest. I’ll never use it on carpet again.

I bought this to replace a roomba 940 that could not transition from the HW floor to the area rugs. The i7 makes the transition flawlessless where the 940 would quit and not go on the rug. To know the machine will return to base and recharge or empty dirt and always finish the large house is great. I suggest using the training run option in beginning to allow the roomba to bump less on walls

We love our irobot. It does an great job vacuuming every day. We have two floors so I have to pick it up and take it downstairs to do the lower floor. It has mapped both floors and does a good job. In fact, I was so surprised how well it Vacuum’s. You have to do some minor maintenance each week to clean out the filter and trash bin. This takes about five minutes and is so easy. I recommend this one with the trash disposal bin.... so easy. I have a friend coming over this afternoon so I am doing a quick vacuum upstairs right now. Love it.

A lot quiter than 900 series, I've owned two of them. Convenience of self emptying roomba in tower bin. After mapping house, convenience of naming zone, and zones to not enter and vaccum. I do notice if that when battery is low it has a glitch to self dock properly. Other than that, wait for this to go on sale. Regular price a little too steep for mid incomr family.

Best thing ever!! Empties it’s own bin, Maps where it has been, tells you where there was more than normal dirt. Excellent app as well.

Works great. The only issue that I have is that sometimes the battery will run down before it redocks itself.

Works good in our house. Use it daily to keep up on the pet hair.

I have a Roomba 980. Getting this i7+ has simplified my life. I have a big Labrador Retriever and a cat. Both shed a lot. Also, living in Germany with no air conditioning, the dust and pollen make their way through open windows. The vacuum picks up both the pet for and the dirt. The automatic emptying means I don’t have to remember to empty the bin daily. I don’t have to move the vacuum from floor to floor any longer. So far, it has worked great with the Braava mopping robot. I’m pleased with my purchase.

We did a lot of research before purchasing the IRobot. We love the way it glides across the floor and puts the floor plan into memory.

Really think this through. Let's do it together. If you're thinking about dropping some coin on a vacuum cleaner. It's going to be the sexiest most pragmatic impulse buy! THIS is it! THIS is it! Get it. Set it up. Let it clean your house. You'll never touch a vacuum again. You'll live like a King. A God among mortals.

Operates on a schedule and thoroughly cleans floors. It does it stuck occasionally.

The new i7+ with the auto dirt disposal is absolutely the best yet! It recharges and empties itself making it virtually self sufficient... The room mapping feature lets you do away with the old "Area blockers" that had the invisible wall to keep the iRobot in the area. Once mapped you can program recurring times and places based on the map without having to use any devices. The auto dirt disposal keeps you from having to constantly empty the unit for it to be able to finish its job. Overall the most sophisticated and self efficient Robot floor cleaning unit out there today!!!

I bought this for my wife. I wasn’t planning on spending that much but... I’m glad I did. It works great and the convenience of emptying once a month is nice.
