I got this for a gift for my birthday. As I wanted a home office setup. I have 2 displays and laptop screen at work. Images and wording makes it sound as it's capable of this setup. 2 output HDMI. Even the sales rep in store advised the same thing. Nothing is more disappointing then realizing it does not work as expected till you go to the store and they will not return it as it's past the return date. Very unacceptable in my opinion as I am not wanting to return it, I want to exchange it for a product same price as this product. I wouldn't even care if the product I wanted was cheaper than the now paperweight I have. Would be Best Buy gain. If you can't honor even your own policy on "Gift" returns, I will not be purchasing anything further from best buy. As they lead the person who bout this for me In the wrong direction. The product seems like a good product, just not what I need. I stopped at 2 different Best Buy asking to exchange it. One MOD wouldn't even talk to me. Told the Customer Service representative that there is nothing he can do. Which is understandable as I don't have the receipt since it was gifted. Best Buy needs to update their policy wording on this website as what I have screenshot of is not how they explained in store.

First, it buzzes. I dont know why but this thing sounds like it’s in pain. Second, the HDMI port requires a special deiver to install. Your Mac will see it as screen mirroring not another monitor. Good lock watchung content on a larger external monitor - it trips the protection and you get a black screen.

One HDMI port not working, I searched for an answer online. The only thing I could find was a thread about how this docking station needs more power? But an external power supply is not included with the docking station. The Docking makes a buzzing noise when under a load.

Horrendous product. They don’t include a power adapter after paying a whopping 129$. It HAS to be their branded one to actually work consistently. Another 69$. To top that, you need a split mode, usb c mode that MAC Os comes with standard. Windows do not. So you can only use one HDMI port on windows with a VAST majority of windows systems. Horrible product. Not worth the hassle. The “stand” is cheap and doesn’t even lock in. Just wobbles loose.

Purchased this for use with my Mac. About 6 months after purchase device started a low volume hum. Annoying but still functional. After 18 months video port is no longer working. :-( That was main reason to purchase. So will skip J5create when I purchase a replacement. Probably from Apple this time - I learned my lesson. And yes a piece of electronics should last longer than 18 months.

Had to return this… it would not provide enough power to run several external hard drives… instructions said to only plug in one at a time.

I was hoping for great results with this dock. I needed something that I could connect 2 monitors to my laptop with and offered power delivery. This seemed like the perfect solution. The packaging is deceptive and even though it allows up to a 140W charger, it does not allow enough power to pass through to my laptop using the OEM charger. As a result their support tried selling me on another $100 purchase of one of their higher wattage power adapters. When I questioned him about it and who I talk to because of the deceptive packaging, he disconnected from the chat. The packaging outright lies and mentions nothing of the higher rating needed to run it as well as charge your laptop. Had I not cleaned things out of the house while preparing for a hurricane, to include the box for this product, I would be returning it. Very disappointed and frustrated.

I used it for a couple of months and now it stops working after a minute or so. Unplug it and will work for another minute or less.

Not iPad compatible. This Docking Station makes a really loud noise as well. Everything online says that it should be plug and play and I was told by a Best Buy employee that it would be compatible and it's not.

Horrible experience.. Purchased 9 months ago. - Ethernet does not work. used to -have to plug in/out for monitor to work -customer support-none- they say call or use chat.After holding on for 30 min, they said leave a msg or chat. When I go to website there is NO CHAT! -anything plugged into works sporadically- and I have 100w plug for it. -Best Buy geek squad said hardware issue, but past 60 days to return to them I do not recommend, very glitchy. wish I could get my $ back. I found an old hub (non J5) and used it and everything works fine, so its their hub issue

Salesperson did not offer different options and when returned unopened would not refund the purchase. Has to receive a gift card. I had the recipient as well when return within 1 week unopened.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! Originally purchased on Oct 24, 2024. The unit died 6/16/2025. After many, many discussions with J5 Create, they gave me a new unit at the end of June 2025. That unit died on 10/25/2025. Didn't even last 4 months. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

Returned. The displays either wont work or ar bad quality through this device. And it makes noise. Its also plastic which i wasnt expecting so it was easily moved since it wasnt heavy. And the set up… dont grt me started… its not plug and play and complex constructions where i felt lile i trouble shooted for 6 hours and barely got my second device to turn on after the 6 hours jsit for it to be really ugly and low resolution. (I have a macbook pro 2021 so its pretty decent and does fine with two displays without this device)

it working working create, love all the ports and USBs USB-Cs and cell charging station, but now 1 HDMI is not working. wont buy it again and I don't recommend buy it.

Works ok but I was not satisfied by the monitor limitations. I found out after I was past my return window that it absolutely will not work with ultrawide aspect ratios. This was even the case when I connected only one monitor. Definitely upset that when I upgraded to ultrawide monitor in my office that this dock became an absolute waste of money

I had this item for 3 months, and it just quit working. The ethernet port, 1 HDMI port, and a usb port all quit work. I did some troubleshooting and an old dock was able to resolve the malfunction completely without issue. Do not purchase!!!

Products should come with everything they need to function. End of story. This product is garbage, and im returning it less than an hour after i bought it. What a waste of my time and my money.

Very expensive and I cannot get two monitors to use it at the same time.

I purchased this unit, though I read it had a coil whine, and the other user was correct! Unless you work in a loud environment or this is placed away from your direct reach, the whine when power runs through the unit is too much for me. I wish this unit had worked out, as it was one of the only units from a reputable brand with a MagSafe Charger.

It does work as a usb hub. But somehow with a firmware update ive applied to the product from the official company website, its immediately killed the usb hub. Now plugging it in, does not show up on my laptop anymore. Let alone a samsung phone for the samsung dex feature. Get a delkin usb hub
