this phone is really basic. One feature that is not present is that if someone calls you and you missed the call, there is no call history feature so you can dial the person back. The only feature that sets this phone apart from other phones is the 5* button which can help you in case of emergency. I had to go back to the previous service for my father phone and luckily was able to change it without much problems.

The TV ad over-simplified the use of the "Jitterbug" cell phone. I have yet to put the phone to practical use. The At@T cell was more practicable, and less complicated. I will probably get a higher grade of that type of cell, and toss "Jitterbug"!

Not as good for seniors as I had hoped. My husband is hard of hearing but the phone doesn't help with that problem.

Took 5 hours to activate the phone

I had difficulties setting up this Jitterbug flip phone for my father in law. I let it sit there for 5 hours trying to get it to activate. I told the tech I was speaking to that I was going to cancel the service and get a phone with AT&T. Right after that the phone started going through the activation process. With it being this problematic just activating it, I'm sceptical as to how the phone is going to work out. I'll be on the lookout for a backup plan. Just in case.

Purchased today, simple activation, but cost $35 plus fees just to activate it. Horrible sound quality, ringer volume on max is lower than the Tracfone we are replacing. Sale or not, I just wasted over $100 on a product that CLAIMS to be for older people. Should have read more reviews
