First let me list the positives. Video quality is very good, light weight, uses sdhc and the newer sdxc cards, The zoom works really good and it is fast, and the camcorder handles low light pretty good. The Media Browser 3 Software is basic and easy to use to make DVD's and the quality of the DVD looks good. Now the negatives: The battery is rated at 1hr 15min continuous recording with 40min actual recording time. I found this to be about right. I use it like I would normally use any camcorder and the battery life lasted to around 40 to 50 minutes. This is pretty low considering it takes about 2hrs 10mins to charge the stock battery. Greater capacity batteries are available, but cost between 55-85 dollars which seems kinda steep. The menu is simple, but kinda hard to get through using just the buttons, a four way toggle or scroll wheel would have been nice. I have planed on getting a larger capacity drive because I really do like the camcorder and think the extra battery is worth the price. I Would recommend this just as long as the battery life will suit your needs.

Turn on the intelligent auto setting and shoot. The zoom is really nice, so much so that a tripod would come in very handy. The battery life is about 40 min of constant shooting, as advertised. Could be longer and the replacement batteries are quite expensive. But for casual shooting videos, this gets the job done.

Extremely light weight and versatile. Small yet big on the jobs it can do HD or SD recording. Comes in a variety of wonderful colors, can be upgraded with a bigger card. Has advances image stabilization and time lapse recording capabilities. A great travel companion as it is so small and light weight.
