This little monster will rock your house! It's amazing how powerful it could be and how great it sounds when rightly configured on your receiver. I'm using it with a pair of R28F, a pair of R15M and a Denon x3300 and this sub is what makes that setup a full cinema experience. I love it!

My review of the Klipsch R-12sw subwoofer. OK I might not have needed it with a pair of Klipsch R-28s up front with a R-62C center channel and a pair of Klipsch R-24 towers for rear speakers. That is powered with an Onkyo 576 AV receiver that puts out maybe 75 watts per channel. So you might think I really didn't need a 12" sub with a set up like this, I mean it had a solid tight bass. But ah, but now it has thunder you know that kick in the chest thump that used to only get when at a concert or 4th of July. But seriously even at low dB levels the bass still comes at you. Makes movies at home better than going to theaters. Makes your favorite music sound like you have never heard it before. You can't go wrong with this awesome subwoofer.

I purchased 2 of these for my dedicated home theater room. Once I dialed in the phases to get them in sync they sound amazing. I primarily watch movies and listen to a little music. The sound quality at higher levels is responsive and tight.

I've got two of these bad boys in my Onkyo/Klipsch 7.2 setup. Which involves two of these subs, a pair of Klipsch R-28F and two pairs of Klipsch R-15M bookshelf speakers, all four of which are on speaker stands. Being in the sweet spot, at the center of this system, is truly an experience to behold. And these two subs really bring it home. Just having one was fine, but I had the money to burn and decided two would be even better. And it turned the entire couch into the "sweet spot".

A single Klipsch 12" is not enough. Be sure to get a pair. You will not be disappointed when splitting your budget in half to buy a pair of subs vs having a single expensive sub. Theses are relatively cheap subs but still good value but only if you buy two. Watch this video for more info. https://youtu.be/aQz0VbueIEE

Hits cleaner and harder than Chuck Lidell . I give a lot of credit to my Yamaha Aventage 860 but this Sub for the $ is Krazy . Set up is Reference 26f x2 ,25c , 14s X4 .

I have been looking forward to an SVS Ultra but decided to get this to hold me off till I have the funds. Plays well with an old 12 infinity. Shouldn't be mixing the brands but tried it & satisfied for now. Well worth the price on black Friday, half off.

Overall sound is good, my tastes lean towards something a little more defined with more tonal quality. It is excellent for movies, average for music, I’d like to hear more in the way of different bass notes of the music. I am pleased with my purchased overall, thanks Best Buy

Was able to adjust the base properly. It’s not over powering. Automatically turns off when it does not detect input after a few minutes and automatically turns on when input is detected.

I just recently upgraded my HDTV to a Sony 75 (luv it - thank you BB) which led me to re-evaluate my home theater components. I have Klipsch fronts and center speakers that I am very happy with. But my two Yamaha 10 inch subs just didn't seem to have that deep punch in your chest feeling that many reviewers here have mentioned. I listened to the DefTech subs that are setup in the Magnolia room, which were played with other Deftech speakers that also have SWs in them. Not exactly a level playing field when you are trying to evaluate a single sub. My research indicated mixed, but generally satisfied reviews for the DTs, but they come with a bit of a premium in price that I wasn't sure I could justify, at least not before I tried the Klipsch subs. BB actually keeps their Klipsch speakers in the cheap seat section, sandwiched between two isle shelves about 4 feet apart. It's nothing like their Magnolia room setup. IMO this is an injustice to a brand that is so highly regarded and has generated many millions, I am sure, for BB. JMO. So, it really leaves no choice but to buy and try, which BB is really good for and I only live a few miles away. So, away I go with my Klipsch 12 SW after work one night. Had to get it right out of the box (wife said I had that little boy at Xmas look on my face :) ), hook it up, plug it in and play the best available action movie I could get my hands on. There really wasn't much to the setup - low pass filter - turn to max per manual, volume-turn to about 1/4, and a couple of other de minimus settings. I chose, what else, but a war movie and sat back to wait for the explosion scenes. And let me tell you, I got punched right in the chest with every artillery shell that landed. Plenty of bass and then some, way more than my two 10 inch Yamaha subs could ever produce. It also produces crisp, responsive bass for music. I really got into listening to the bass player on a number of tunes. I was holding out the possibility of adding a second sub, but that would def be overkill and would make the table I would have to put it under sing too much. My room is 15 x 21 with an open floor plan to the kitchen and I noted some concern about this with the DefTech SW reviewers. I can tell you, hands down, this sub is plenty for my space. I think it would be overkill for a small apartment, though. I keep it at about the 1/4 mark and adjust the volume from my AVR remote. This time out, with some extra coin to spend for a premium brand, Magnolia Room-snooty SW, I found that spending more doesn't necessarily mean getting more. The price point for this item is substantially below the Mag room competition and IMO performed as good, if not better than the DTs. Also, the reviews on this item have been overall stellar from BB, Amazon and Crutchfield customers. For price and quality, Klipsch is hard to beat. I'm very happy with this item.
