The reason why I said this is because I had multiple frustration getting this monitor get to work with my MacBook Pro. The monitor didn't wake up, the Mac freeze up and then from so many attempts I drop my external HDD and i lost all my data. Finally I install the screen split program from LG web site and that did the trick. After all the monitor perform great but not excellent. the text seem to be blurry at times. Picture detail is at best most of the time. In over all the monitor is 1G not including the ThunderBolt wire AND this is the newest and cheapest ThunderBolt monitor in the market, Good luck.

The only down side is that I need to get a new video card. I cannot comment on the Freesync since it is not available on the Radeon HD 7950.

This monitor is big, but more importanly, just looks great. I like the option of being able to have (2) laptops connected to it and do PBP(PicturebyPicture) so you can see both laptops. The 29 inch has the same, just not the resolution and contrast as the 34 inch. I haven't tried any games yet, I will post again when I do.
