Love my LG All-In-One Laundry machine!!!

Having done extensive research prior to purchase, I felt prepared to make the transition to this highly energy efficient washer dryer combo. My apartment doesn’t have 220v available for vented dryers, nor vents and is quite small already, so an all-in-one ventless design that plugs into 110v is very appealing. Per all the research & reading / watching reviews, I know to clean out all the lint every cycle and drain any water in the condenser reservoir. The dryer acts like a dehumidifier and removes water through the drain hose as well as a reservoir that catches the cooled steam water. Just like the reviews say, the clothes are slightly damp but a literal **shake** and the dampness evaporates. Not hot, arid, crispy-dry like vented 220v heated dryers, but the $aving$ in energy bills is well worth it to me, and I'm thinking of getting a small drying rack. The ease of washing / drying is a dream come true. I add detergent into the reservoir and the machine uses as much as the load needs. I ran 3/8" DISHWASHER lines from under my kitchen sink for the Hot / Cold water intake with T-splitter adapters and it works GREAT! We wash a lot of laundry with a big family and small children and hairy dog. I think I'm going to shake the extra dust / dirt out before washing just to be kinder to the machine, but the clothes go in dirty and come out clean and dry. If still too damp, I run dry cycle again or don't load so full. I am looking forward to many happy years of laundry ease with this lovely machine.

AI and LGThin Q takes over the Laundry

First there is Siri and Alexa, then we get chatgpt4 with google AI with Baird and Microsoft copilot. Now LG Electronics comes out with an AI enabled combo washer and dryer. Yes, washer and dryer with a heat pump to eliminate the dryer vent. I wasn’t able to get into the manual before my wife had it connect to the LG app on her iPhone and changing the settings and starting a wash. I read that on larger loads it does take a little longer to dry than a traditional dryer and they are right. But my wife runs it when she goes to work and it’s done when I come home. I have been around a lot of innovation projects at some large companies and LG has really pushed the envelope on this unit. It senses your loads and identifies how dirty the clothes are and then takes care of the rest with the AI Wash and Dry setting. If you don’t trust the AI to take over your washing duties yet, then select from 15 other wash cycles. We decided to let it take over the duties. From the auto detergent and softener dispenser to the ventless design and top lint collector, they have simplified the laundry process for me and my family. Not to forget the little brother unit (underneath) that I also picked up. The #LGSideKickPedestalWasher. My wife and girls like it for washing smaller loads and their undergarments that need a little more TLC or just need to be air dried. As my wife said, Life is Good

Some people have drying problems I did at first I think it was the drain hose. You can’t put it too far in just a few inches the installer put it in about a foot did not dry on clothes very well drying times I pulled a drain pipe up and put it on hot wash and it dries the clothes now, I’m still playing with it to make sure one cancels the other one out. I heard if you use too much cold water that will play part to in drying.time

Besides the installation process, the machine operates efficiently. Once set up, it demands minimal attention, and generally, clothes emerge dry. Surprisingly, it excels in removing pet hair, although some may accumulate around the rubber ring encircling the door, which can be easily addressed by swiping with a cloth or running a rinse cycle. The longest duration I've experienced for a full wash and dry cycle is approximately three and a half hours, but I haven't overloaded the drum to the point where clothes spill out. Typically, most of my loads are completed in just over two hours. The only issue encountered so far is a lingering odor on clothes, which I believe I've successfully resolved. I ran the tub clean setting multiple times (around 4 or 5 times) with washing machine cleaner, and eventually noticed a significant improvement in the smell of the clothes. Additionally, I appreciate the multitude of options available through the accompanying app.

Awesome Washer and Dryer in One unit!

This WashCombo is definitely a leap in the laundry sphere. It is a spacious washer to accommodate your needs from a King size duvet to a load full of all kinds of clothes. It is able to determine the load weight and the degree of soil and adjust the water to wash everything properly. This is an awesome appliance that will allow you to load it and not worry about transferring it to a dryer as it will take care of drying in the same unit. It doesn't require 240V and can be plugged in to any 120V outlet. No more need to vent it either! It does a good job drying and just don't overstuff it so it has enough of space to distribute the heat inside the drum. I really like the detergent dispenser, no more need to guess the amounts of detergent, this WashCombo will do it for, and you can adjust it even more if you want to in the ThinQ app. I really like using this WashCombo and highly recommend it to any family out there.

Washing machine works great. Drying takes longer but understandable since it runs on 120v and is ventless. Like how quiet it is. Had a litte issue with the lint filter getting stuck but was able to solve the issue. Wife likes the app to check the laundry and machine status. The unit took a little homework before use.

Upgraded from LG’s 1st gen model and appears that they’ve learned and incorporated some major improvements. The filter clean out on top is super convenient. The detergent reservoir you top off and let it dispense what’s needed based on load size is awesome. The “AI” does a fine job figuring out a given load and handling it from wash to rinse to dry. Very happy with the purchase. Wife loves having one machine that does it all. And not having tiny bits of dryer lint potentially creating an air quality issue like a traditional hot air dryer would is a very nice bonus.

Great washer! I love that I can toss my work clothes in, and when I wake, and, get going for the day, they are clean and dry. Ready to go! The washer doesn't dry larger loads completely. Be prepared to run a dry only cycle. Or, as I have a gas dryer still, no issues. Get the pedestal washer if you can. That combined with the all in one, equals bliss. Easy to clean the lint filter as well. I like the automatic dispensers, mine are both set to detergent. Lots of new cycles if you use the app. Auto start, keep fresh are very handy. Less handy tho. Are all of the laundry nanny type notifications. I could use a setting to ignore those.

The pros Space saving machine. Sleek looking design. AI wash n dry function seems to work the best Just put clothes in, press start, and walk away When all goes well....love the machine. The cons Sometimes the dry function just never shuts off...even after 6 hours. Washing towels is a minimum of 3.5 hours. Lint does weird things in this machine... and i mean some weird stuff if you know what i mean.... GO SEE IT!

Don't buy if you don't like cleaning lint

The washer does an ok job like any washer should. The dryer doesn't dry as much as a regular dryer but it is also ok. However, the amount of lint that accumulates at the door gasket is insane. Every time that I use the dryer I have to spend 8-10 min cleaning the door lint from the door gasket. If I knew that it would be like this I would not have bought it. This happened from the start. I contacted LG customer service multiple times and basically was told that this is how it is.

So far so good, no complaints. You have to be prepared that it is different and longer end-to-end cycles, but there is no human action required in the middle and different isn't bad. When you consider how long you might leave laundry in the washer before moving to the dryer, is it really all that much longer? My thought process is I could easily do 14 loads of laundry without it causing any issue, one each night and one to start each day. I don't even come close to that so have absolutely no problem with the longer dry times , which is the complaint I saw most often made by others.

Personally, Very convenient. Not for large families. I have an injury that makes switching wash painful. Family of 3. Does require lint trap and rubber seal to be wiped clean from lint after each use to avoid future issues . I would not have liked it when my family was large and kids in sports. Loads can take long depending on settings. I do have 3 dogs and laundry is frresh, clean and dry.

I like the many features /settings offered. It saves room vs. having a washer and dryer separate. You also can just use the washer or just the dryer. The negative is that when I use the dryer it doesn't dry blankets and towels thoroughly. However, I am just getting used to it as I haven't had it very long so I need to work with it more to figure out what setting works best.

This machine is AMAZING! I absolutely LOVE this unit! Works beautifully. I love that I can wash and dry in he same machine. I also love the softner and detergent pre fill chambers. I do have to add detergent to each load and I never have to worry about forgetting the softener. You can program how much detergent and softener is used for each load via the app. The AI Wash + Dry cycle is awesome too! It senses the load and then picks the best cycle and dry time for that particular load. So smart and convenient. The unit is SUPER QUIET, too. The ventkess frature doesnt heat your house or make it humid. Worth. Every. Penny. This machine is THE FUTURE! User Tips: if you wash mixed loads or overstuff the machine, it will take a long time. Learned that on my first load. Don't wash towels/blankets in the same load as your clothes. Wash jeans and denim in a separate load. It still functions in the smell way as a standard machine-- if you overstuffed it, it won't work properly. Also make sure you clean the lower filter after every 3 or 4 washes.

We did purchase this and after 2 days had an issue with the cleaning vent on the top . It would not come out. Contacted Best Buy and the return and replacement was effortless. Review: 1. This is excellent machine for washing any type of load. 2. Drying , this is excellent machine for drying. As Homeowner, 1. This is a good addition, but I would not have this alone in the laundry room. The reason is at some point you are going to have different clothes , and sized loads and having multiple people with laundry needs will not be resolved with this machine alone. Example: You are not going to wash and dry 7 pairs pants in under 2.5 hours or King size blanket. Not going to happen and the more clothes you have for more people the less of benefit this becomes alone. Conclusion: We have this and am happy with the purchase. We have just ordered an LG dryer also. So if needed we can dry in another machine for different types of loads. In my opinion if you don’t have the space or are single then this checks all the boxes, but if you homeowner and have more than 2+ people in the home then this is good fit with a dryer also. It’s all about the long term next 12- 15 year’s .

Great all-in-one combo. Ventless! lint collection is much better than the GE model and priced similar. footprint is same as normal dryer except inch or two deeper, but it itsa "wash" because there is no rear vent exhaust protruding. loads take longer, because of long dry times. bulky heavy items sometimes remain damp and need extra dry times, but our old LG gas dryer was the same, just faster overall. since it is an all-in-one, you don't need to mind and added time and step of unloading a washer then loading a dryer. as usual with separate washer and dryer setups, larger loads extend total wash and dry time. this unit seems to work the best when not overloading it. smaller loads can be done and finish completely dry in about 2.5 hrs. we considered buying 2, but one works if you just run more loads more often. saves a ton of effort and money on your electric bill overall, but not time
