I was pleased with my last phone, the Razr Maxx, but my new LG G3 is much better. It is faster with a slightly larger screen. I especially like the cordless charging feature which I added. So far no complaints. AND Best Buy sold it at an amazing price.

Probably the best non-phablet phone of 2014.

I got this phone to replace my Galaxy S3. I love it. The phone has a screen the size of the Note 2, but in a body that is much much more streamlined. The bottom placement on the back is not nearly as awkward as you may think. I mainly use the "Knock On" feature to unlock the phone. It is pretty finicky for me. If you knock too fast the phone doesn't register and won't turn on. The same thing happens for the Knock Code. This is a bit annoying but not a deal breaker, I've just had to find the right balance. The screen is big and gorgeous. The battery life is insane. I've forgotten what it's like to have a charge throughout the whole day. With moderate use, I go to bed with 15-20% left. With heavier use, I charge it in my car on the way home from work (about 20-30 min commute) and that gives me more than enough juice to last through the night. Software wise you'll get what you get out of any new flagship running the most recent Android version. I think the phone ships with 4.4.2. LG's skin is nice and is pretty unobtrusive (way better than TouchWiz). The interface looks polished and clean. I'm on Verizon, so the call quality and reception (at least in my area) are top notch. Calls sound clear and crisp. The camera is super fast - it focuses and shoot incredibly quickly. There is an option to make the whole screen the shutter button, which allows you to take pictures pretty much as fast as you can tap the screen. Picture quality, for stills and videos, looks great. There are some gimmicks like voice commands and hand gestures that make the camera a little bit cooler, but otherwise it's pretty much great as is. The phone feels a bit slippery in the hands. It looks nice but the materials don't necessarily feel that sturdy. If you're the type of person that puts the phone in a case (as you should be) then that's not that big of a problem. If you like to go naked, then you may want to consider something a bit more durable (like the M8). Moreso, I have the white model and I love the look, but it gets DIRTY, even in a case. My wife has a black version and it may not look as sexy but it holds up to dirt and grime a lot better -- if you care about that type of thing anyway. This is the best phone I have owned. If you've been holding on to a phone for the past couple of year, you could do worse than the G3. And you'd probably have a difficulty doing better in all honesty. If you're just upgrading over last year's flagship, I'd probably just hold on to that device -- but again, you could do a lot worse than the G3.

I bought this phone at BestBuy because I needed a new phone and my contract was up. I don't ever waste the money on a $199 phone, I just try to get the best phone that is available for a good price with contract. I was very pleased when I saw that this phone was on sale for $29. I read all the reviews and they were stellar and I have to say I am very impressed with this phone. The screen is great, the camera is good, but most importantly, it is a good TELEPHONE! The sound quality is good, it is easy to dial and access contacts, etc. The one negative that I kept reading about this phone was about poor battery life. Yet I have had excellent battery life from this phone. I generally unplug it in the morning and when I go to bed at night it is rarely below 85% battery remaining. I use it as a phone everyday, I access the internet a few times a day, download a podcast or two, and I may send 4-5 texts a day. You would really have to try to run this thing out of battery in a normal day, or be so addicted to your phone that you have no other life anyway?

I REALLY like this phone! It is my second smart phone and the first was small, had 2-3G connection and I rarely used the Internet even though I had unlimited data. This LG literally is a small lap top and though I use only a few of its abilities it is far beyond the Wildfire unit I had. The phone pad has big numbers, the speaker phone is loud, and they can hear me well. Weather temp and warnings are on the home pages and the calculator has a percentage button. More apps than I will use but I can see the Internet well on the large screen. It still fits in my back pocket. No glitches so far and the reason I bought the G3 is because the G2s battery is not changeable. I keep my phone a long time and this one should be good barring any accidents, for 3-5 years. I can't imagine having more than what this phone does. If you like the size, I don't think you will be disappointed. Oh, the 13mp camera takes great shots and I use it to take pics of employees at work. Then blow them up to 8x10 to post for recognition. It's better than my 8mp Nikon!

After looking at all the major smartphones, including those from Samsung, HTC, and OnePlus, I decided to settle on the LG G3. The build is very nice. Even though the back is plastic, the countered design makes it feel very solid. I thought that the back buttons would be a pain, but easily adjusted to it and even prefer them now. The camera is also pretty great, though using HDR sometimes produced rather grainy pictures. Finally comes the most talked about feature of the phone, the screen. The screen is very crisp and viewing pictures and videos on it is a very pleasant experience, though it does come with compromises. The brightness of the screen does not go very low, nor does it go very high, there are noticeable sharpening issues, and battery life is shorter than expected. On the software side, LG's custom skin is surprisingly elegant and much nicer than Samsung's Touchwiz. Overall, the phone is great and I would easily recommend it to anyone in the market for a new smartphone.

I did a lot of research on line before I went to the store and did a lot of comparing the phones @ Best Buy. For a "newbie" this phone is quite easy to use. So many features, nice screen size, but it is quite a bit larger than my old phone. Good sound quality, takes beautiful pictures. I like the battery life, pleased with that. I have an Otter Box for it and since it is a larger phone, it will not fit into a waterproof bag, nor an arm band for exercising without taking the Otter Box off. I have the blue one, but since it is in the Otter Box the color is a mute point.... Still getting used to all the features and exploring what this phone can do....

After a month with the LG G3 I continue to be impressed. It's blazing speed and unobtrusive, near stock Android skin wowed me immediately. The camera is a stunner unmatched only by the 4k resolution screen. And last but not least are the tap to wake and tap to sleep features that work so well you'll be left wondering why the phone's chassis has any buttons in the first place. That said, the rear body buttons are genius. If you're in the market for a new Android phone, the G3 should be on your short list.

My wife was due for an upgrade on our Verizon account. I bought the Note 4 and was looking at an S5 for her. I had previously read reviews on the G3 and took a look at it. The G3 is a very impressive phone. It has the display that might be the best out there. You can remove the battery, and an SD card. It also has 32 GB of internal storage. The S5 only has 16 GB. It's a 5.5" display and about the same physical size as the S5. When I considered the G3 was only $99.99 on contract, it was an easy decision. Two days later it dropped to $79.99 that Best Buy credited me back. Galaxy may have a huge grip on the market, but I would pick up a G3 over the S5. Great performance, features and perfect size compromise. The battery life was very acceptable.

UHD screen makes video watching excellent. Even though screen I'd 5.5 inch it is easy to hold. Camera takes very detailed photos and easy to use. Knock code is a nice feature to make unlocking the phone easy. Double tap feature makes it easy to lock/unlock. Volume buttons located on the back of the phone are actually really convenient. Phone is extremely fast with plenty of storage with 32gb and can be expanded via the MicroSD Card slot.

At times I use my phone to watch movies instead of my tablet because of the great resolution and the speaker is loud enough that I do not need to use headphones or ear plugs. Also works well with audible, however would use headphones when listening to music. Very easy to organize your apps and find them quickly and I like the "smart tips" that explain useful functions such as the "path input" useful for emails or texting. Camera is easy to use and takes very good photographs using their laser technology for great focus. Like the larger screen size as I use the phone to read often particularly when not at home. Also like the volume controls on the back instead of the side.

This is a pretty good phone. It is easy to hold despite it's large size. My one concern before buying was the battery life due to qHD display. I have found that it easily lasts a day, which I think is due to it's very effective power management apart from having a really large battery. The camera is also good in daylight conditions, but only average in low light conditions.

My new LG3 has worked great so far. I've used it now for almost 2 months and had no problems. I am still getting familiar with its many features, but how I have been able to use it so far is truly amazing. I love talk to text, voice email and the camera takes awesome pictures and videos. The screen is as large or maybe larger than the iphone 6''s screen. If there is one down side, I find myself having to charge it more often than my previous LG multi-media phone, even though this new phone supposedly has a better quality battery. I feel I made a good purchase and the price was excellent at Best Buy!.

I read a bunch of reviews of this phone before buying it and was concerned about the frequently mentioned "poor" battery life. Of course, when you read the review carefully you see that the person uses their phone 24 hours a day as a substitute for a real life. I use my phone for a telephone (!!) and will send a few texts a day (<10). I also use it to access the internet a few times a day when I don't have access to a computer. I download a podcast I like and may spend an average of 45 minutes a day playing that podcast through my phone. I turn off the Location and Screen Rotation and Wifi when I am not using them. Result - at the end of the day, I always have 85% or better (usually 95% or higher) of my battery left. I can't imagine what kind of phone-a-holic you would have to be to run down your battery on this phone in a day, but rest assured, if you have a life independent of your phone, there is plenty of battery.

Bought this phone to replace my old Samsung Galaxy S 3. This phone is 10 times faster than the Galaxy S 3. Has a huge memory (32 GB). Nice big 5.5" screen lets you see videos and games in crisp clear color. Battery sips power. You hardly have to charge the phone. And you can't beat the price too. Got the phone for $1 with a 2 year contract. Only downfall is that the power/wake up button is on the back of the phone. If you press the button too many times, the screen goes black but you can still hear the phone make noises as though it is awake. Let the phone rest for a minute or two and the screen responds again. Overall, still a great phone at a great price.

This is the best phone I've ever owned. Everything works even better than advertised, especially the camera. I love the knock, or tap, feature to unlock the phone and place the phone in "sleep" mode. I rarely use the on/off button. Before I purchased the phone I was worried about the large size, but I quickly got used to the size of the phone and love the large screen, it is so much easier to share photos and other items on my phone with friends and family. It feels great in my hand and the build quality is far superior to my previous phone, a Galaxy S3. I highly recommended this phone.

After using the LG G3 for several months now, I can say that is a solid phone, with nice features. The camera takes nice pics and the operating system seems to run pretty smoothly on most applications. The screen size and resolution are nice but you need to keep the contrast turned down a bit to minimize battery drain (mine is set to 50%). The other negatives I have are that the default voice command program is a behind against Google and Samsung, and the floating call timer is a bit annoying as it floats over everything when multitasking so you have to move it constantly. It would be nice if the call timer could be turned off, not necessarily taken out completely. Overall, I felt the small complaints weren't enough to warrant docking stars from it's rating,

I did a lot of research. (I compared it with the S5, iPhone 5 and M8) I'm glad I waited to get this phone. It is big but it fits in the front pocket of my trousers. Screen is super sharp, OS is very stable, Little bloatware, super fast (3Gb RAM, internal mem 32 Gb), and all for $99. You need this phone!

After having Samsung phones for the several years, I decided to check out the LG inventory . I always ask the Best Buy reps what phones they have. The rep pulled out her LG G3 and I was instantly a fan. The battery is the best of the Android. I only charge it every other day. I opted for the midnight blue. I always get asked what kind of phone I have. Phone is sleek and slim. You will need a case and shield for protection.
