perfect for all except gaming. I need space cod
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.excellent keyboard too long for fps call of duty I think is too big for fps gaming but overall is quality right here. solid. love it for my everyday use. I play tilted so it’s too long. it’s clicky. most gamers prefer tactile or libear but this keyboard is fun. it is solid. it’s beautiful and rgb lights are strong. you’ll have fun with it. maybe ill try to go back to it but I am happy with my red dragon 60% keyboard

Great mechanical keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the keyboard. It’s a mechanical keyboard so it’s very loud but it feels great to type on. It has a few preset lighting options, however downloading the software let’s you customize the backlight. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because it could use more button’s especially at this price point.

Great build quality and clicky, two minor issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this after I tried the Corsair K68. The Corsair was too steep and the included wrist rest did not help alleviate any pain after light gaming. The G513 is honestly the most comfortable non-ergonomic keyboard I've ever used. I've got relatively small hands and chubby fingers and this keyboard is perfectly sized for me. The included wrist rest is especially nice. I really only have two issues with this keyboard, one of which I realized ahead of time, and the other I didn't realize until I plugged it in. First, the G513 doesn't come with dedicated media controls. Ultimately, it's not that big of a deal as you can invert the function keys (how often do you really use F9-F12, anyway?). The second issue is the one I didn't realize until I got home--the secondary characters on keys that include them (all the numbers and punctuation marks) don't light up. This isn't a huge deal as I normally type in relatively well lit environments, but is kind of a pain in the dark. I typically game in darker environments, and generally don't need the $ when I'm pwning newbs. Ultimately, I have no idea why they didn't make the secondary characters translucent, as well. They were on the G413. Despite the issues, it's still the nicest keyboard I've ever typed on. The build quality is excellent--there's no flex, at all. The GX Blues have an extremely satisfying loud click and tactile feedback. The Logitech G Hub software is great (way better than Corsair's iCue) and the RGB is vibrant (though not on the secondary characters as mentioned before).

Responsive but Clicky
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.---SETUP--- The setup for the Logitech’s G513 gaming keyboard is simple. After plugging it is, the computer recognizes it. Go to the website in the provided documentation to download the associated software to unlock it’s full potential. ---FEATURES--- The key feature of this keyboard is its customization options and access to existing gaming profiles. Customization-wise, this keyboard has it’s keys flash like a rainbow. This is optional if you find it distracting, but it looks very nice every time to press a key. The software detected games I already had install on my PC and asked if I wanted to download profiles for those games. I did so and it didn’t take long. It includes a very comfortable and oversize wrist rest, perfect for log sessions (though the wrist rest doesn’t attach to the keyboard itself, like my previous gaming keyboard). Additionally, it also has a USB 2.0 on the back, perfect for a wireless mouse receiver. I did notice it lacks a volume control on the keyboard itself. ---PERFORMANCE--- The performance of this keyboard is great. It is very responsive and accurate when gaming. When customizing it with the downloadable software, you can edit your gaming keys and program multiple settings as well as save well over 10 profiles for different games you play. ---EXPECTATIONS--- The product meets my expectations. In the video games I tested, I didn’t notice anything that would cause me to not recommend this keyboard. However, when you press on the keys, you will notice that the keys have a clicking noise that you may not be used to. Since I game with a headset on, I don’t hear it during gameplay. However, if using this to work and type documents, you may find it noticeable. Keep this in mind when purchasing. ---VALUE--- The price for the keyboard in terms of value is on par with its competitors. The lack of an on-keyboard volume control was a noticeable lacking feature but the oversized wrist rest compensates for that, as it is very comfortable. ---APPROVAL--- I highly recommend this product for gamers who seek to customize their keyboard and have some added flair. It is a very well constructed keyboard and the wrist rest pad is one of the most comfortable ones I’ve ever used.

Good but one issue
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Reallly nice keyboard, however after 4 months of use, I am having an issue with my L key where half the time I press it, it double types the character. Now I need to replace it. Otherwise, the wrist rest is also very comfortable as welll.

Very good mechanical keyboard.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The G513 is a great keyboard for the price. The switches feel great, but may seem heavy to users new to mechanical keyboards (such as myself). The LEDs in the keys shine bright, and rarely show a color other than what’s on the software. 4 stars because the shift keys aren’t transparent, so if you don’t know what you are looking for when shift keying, you might have to search in dark environments, and the same problem with the media controls on top. The other reason is you must use the Logitech G Hub software. The software can be a pain sometimes, but often killing all the processes in Task Manager fixes it. Overall, great gaming keyboard, great feeling switches, and a great starting point for someone wanting a mechanical keyboard.

Keyboard Sounds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love mechanical keyboards. They feel relaxing to the touch. Many people who use this keyboard for either typing or gaming hate the loud clicky sound, but I love it since I feel that the keyboard is giving me the response that I actually pressed the button. For some reason that I do not know is that some keys sound different when you actually pay attention to pressing the keys closely. I may have been that some keys are used more that the other. As for the RGB lighting this keyboard has, it requires an app to be downloaded on your device for it to let you change its color settings. As for this keyboard, it is more stealthy looking, because the colors are not too much and are not too bright.

Nice Keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is a very nice keyboard, it does everything it claims to do and I havent run into any issues so far in the week or so that i've used it. after games i find that my fingers arent as tired as they normally would be when i used my previous keyboard and it seems very responsive. i chose the gx blue switches because when i tried it in store it had the feel and sound that i was looking for however when i got home i realized that the sound was significantly louder compared to in store which makes sense but i think ill probably exchange it for ones with a different switch which was my fault and not logitechs. the only other reason it didnt get a 5 star was because as nice as the wrist pad is i was disappointed in the fact that there wasnt an option to attach it to the keyboard and make it once piece but other than that it is a fantastic keyboard and functions well and the design is pretty sleek and software to control lighting was easy

A great mechanical keyboard for all
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review would be my second review of a product I bought online. I do own a 3-4 mechanical keyboard, and this keyboard happens to be my favorite. Since I use a lot of MS Excel at my office, the full-size keys, along with the Numpad, are great for my day-to-day routine. The keys are well lit and I am a huge fan of how comfortable this keyboard is. The travel time for the key is just fine. If you are looking for a keyboard to last for a long time and get it's worth, this is the right keyboard for you. The only complaint I would have it that the secondary functions of the keys do not light up. Hence the four stars. Overall, I would recommend this product to all.

Great Looks, Not Great Feel
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thew Logitech G513 Carbon is an amazing looking keyboard. The wrist rest also quite nice, it's a bit more stiff than the Razer Huntsman Elite rest, but this one is detachable. The anti-slip pads on the keyboard and wrist rest are great, neither slip with reasonable amounts of force. The key switches on this keyboard are not great. They do feel good, but compared to Cherry MX Blue switches, these sound and feel cheaper. For lighting, Logitech G Hub has some great features. LIGHTSYNC works mostly well to sync the lighting from all the devices, but I've noticed that my keyboard doesn't sync with my mouse/mousepad. Overall the G513 is a decent keyboard, especially if you prefer the GX Blue over RomerG style.

Nice Keyboard
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good, it works I am typing this review with it right now, the keys feel and sound good. More or less what i was looking for no real complaints. So if you are searching for a mech keyboard and came across the listings for the G513, you are probably wondering what is the difference between (this) the Carbon Version and the listing for the "Silver" version. They look the same at first glance, and the "Silver" version even comes in black(?). I am not sure how they differentiate them in the store, since Logitec has them listed on their site as being the same. I haven't been able to find anything that specifically listed the differences. My assumption is that this listing for the "Carbon" version is the previous model. This is my best guess. But it doesnt really make sense when looking at the model numbers on the listings. The model number in the listing is shown as 920-008924 (Carbon) and 920-008721 (Silver). You would think the number for the newer model would be higher The model number on the back of the keyboard I actually received is 820-008786. So looking online for more photos and doing some visual comparisons. The aesthetic differences between the Carbon and the Silver (assuming you choice the carbon black silver) is that the Carbon model doesnt have illuminated "shift" function icons on the keys, only the main function is illuminated (for example the 1 lights up, but the ! does not). Also there are some icons that are reversed from "standard" keyboards. If you look at the keys the double quote and single quotes on the keyboard are flipped. Normally (i assume from looking at all my other keyboards) the double quote is on top as you need to press shift to type it, however it is on the bottom but you still need to press shift (kind of confusing). This is the same for all the shift icons, with the exception of the number keys which the 0 thru 9 light up. This appears to have been corrected on the Silver color listing version. Along with all the icons on the keys are illuminated (both shift functions and standard function are illuminated. Hopefully this helps someone out, if I had realized this before hand I may have opted for the other version. Also keep in mind that since this has 2 usb connections needed if you want to use the included 1 USB pass-through hub, the USB cord is not replaceable, So if you want to use a shorter USB cord you are out of luck there. But the included cord is at least a nice looking braided cable. Just way longer then I need so it looks a bit sloppy.

Fabulous feel with a few nit-picks
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I'm not a gamer. I'm a touch typist who loves a great keyboard. I have quite a collection of mechanical switch keyboards and Logitech are by far my favorites. I have my favorite key switches, too. I love the clicky keys like the Cherry MX greens or blues, and I love the smooth, quiet Cherry MX reds. This Logitech G513 Carbon RGB Wired Gaming Mechanical GX Blue Switch Keyboard is the best of the best of clicky keyboards. The tactile feel of these keys is like magic! No one does key sculpting like Logitech. That alone sets their keyboard apart from all others. The newly designed GX Blue key switches have the Cherry MX Blue keys beat by a mile when it comes to a purely pleasurable experience in typing. They have a lighter, quieter touch with tactile feedback. They are not as noisy as the older generation of Cherry MX greens or blues. I was in love with this keyboard the first moment I started typing on it. Now to my nit-picks. The main characters that are backlit are not centered on the key top as they are on Logitech keyboards with the new Romer G switches. They are above center. I realize this is because of the internal design of the clicky-type switch. That's OK. I've adjusted to that and, besides, my fingers know very well where these keys are. But, because I use this keyboard for actual typing, not game-playing, I often need to use the special shifted characters above the number row and some of the punctuation keys on the lower right. This is a lighted keyboard, but these special characters are NOT BACKLIT AT ALL. You'd better know where they are from memory alone because you have no chance of finding them by sight in a poorly lit room. If you're not sure where that question mark is, you'd better draw up a diagram to let you know it's on the shift-/ key. On my other lighted keyboards, if the letters and number row are not centered, at least the special shifted characters are dimly back-lit so they are easy to find. I have this feature on my other Logitech keyboards, why not this one? I understand it's a keyboard designed for gamers and they are not likely to want or care about these special characters, but, hey Logitech, there are a LOT of us touch typists who buy your keyboards because we want an excellent mechanical switch keyboard and really enjoy typing on them. How about giving us a little consideration? The quality and build of this keyboard with these exquisite GX Blue clicky switches deserve a 5 star rating. I couldn't give it one just because of the lack of backlighting on the special characters.

Good keyboard.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a good keyboard. It's nice and clicky, like I like my mechanical keyboards. However, I was hoping the longevity of the plastic on the keys was a little better. Keyboards now a days wear smooth so quickly with just a little bit of frequent use. They don't feel new for any length of time anymore. Other than that, I like the keyboard and can see it lasting for a very long time. The software that works with a Mac is a little iffy, but works okay.

pretty good keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.it's a good Keyboard, but Logitech dropped the ball on a few things. my likes The keyboard looks and sounds pretty good. it comes with a wrist pad and the pad looks and feels good unlike the plastic crap corsair gives you it has USB pass through dislikes price for what you get this keyboard is over priced it does not have built in onboard memory or dedicated media keys all the alt keys like !@#$%^&*()_+ do not light up so it's hard to see them in the dark this is what i hate the most the space bar sounds like crap GX Blue switches- they are better than their romer G crap, but Honestly i don't know why they just don't use the kailh Box switches instead of their version of kailh switches conclusion it's a solid keyboard and better than all the other keyboards that are listed on this site, but like the other keyboards on this site it is overpriced for $150 you can get a better keyboard on other websites, the only reason i bought it is because i had store credit.
