Metallica's best album remastered sounds great. The sound is more crisp but not overdone. Worth buying if you already own it, must buy if you don't (and 80's thrash metal is your thing). Second disc is pretty much a bunch of demos and crap. I was hoping for more on the live disc as it sounds like a bunch of bootlegs cleaned up. I was also hoping for a complete live show instead of a bunch of different shows cobbled together, but come on, Metallica wasn't going to give you that for for a couple bucks. :)

Every true fan should already have this album but I just had to get it. I noticed some differences in some of the songs but not to much. Also it’s not “loud” like a lot of remastered cds. Maybe a little but nothing like some. Again one of my favorites since I bought the tape for the first time in 1987.

This album is quite possibly the best metal album ever made. And now it’s being treated with a three disc set. The album is remastered and the second disc contains rough cuts and they lengthy interview at the end of it. The third disc Is them in concert which is also very good music.

This is by far the greatest metal album of all time! They haven't been able to replicate this sound since but who cares- how many bands can say they hav made the greatest metal album/ cassette/ cd of all time... not many is my guess! Hands down, front to back, best album ever!

Concise 3disc overview of classic mid 80s album often mentioned as the best album of its type ever released. Great sound on disc one-a remaster of the original l.p., disc 2 is working drawings of the l.p. in progress and is instructive if you're interested in its creation, disc three is related live material and the real reason to have this. Also available as an exhaustive multi-disc retrospective, but for most of us this is all you need. Turn it up!

This is for the 3CD review and this is full of great live recordings and demos. The original album sounds a little better with the remaster. This is a must for any Metallica fan if you cannot afford the 10 disc/LP box set.

Hard to believe they've been around almost 40 years.Have been listening to them since they 1st came out.Saw them many times.I'm 61 but still rock.Great cd.

The greatest metal record of all time! This newly remastered cd sounds great and the bonus discs are worth the price alone. The third disc contains a live concert with an incredible setlist. A must buy!

This is a must-own for metal fans. This is Metallica's first re-issue that also includes previously unreleased material, including a bunch of live songs from the Damage Inc. tour.

Not just a money grab. The extra's were very interesting. The remasted cd was extremely good. If your a causal fan, it's a little pricey, but well worth it.

Great remaster. The bonus CDs are cool too. The live material on the 3rd disc really captures a moment in time before they became huge.

The remasters can be tough at times, but this is a good one. Can't wait for more remasters over the years from the boys.

This is one that I would not have missed out on. In my opinion the cds are sound quality from beginning to end.

Metallica has taken arguably their best album and made it more crisp, clean, and sonically appealing than ever before.

Awesome cd! Gotta love Metallica and the old style is better than the new stuff that they have out now!

Love this release, great hearing the demo versions of songs and getting extra content from live tours.

Music of my youth .. Highly recommend this purchase .. Any rock fan will want this .. Go buy it now \m/
