The concept is great. Space, lasers, Jaws, but the movie ends up being a little boring.

A little far out even for bond. Too far out but it is still a bond movie.

Another installment of the cookie-cutter Roger Moore movies.

    BOND IN SPACE.......

For Your Eyes Only was the next movie in the series as mentioned in the credits for 1977's Spy Who Loved Me ( hopefully available sometime this year in Blu Ray) but with the success of Star Wars, the Bond producers said that we need to put Bond in Space.....In fact that was the tagline on one of the posters. This DVD release coincides with the 30th anniversary of the film that brought Moore back to the screen and his rival from Spy Who Loved Me, Richard Keil reprised his role as "Jaws" Why that movie wasn't released first????? The entire sequencing of releases boggles the mind but oh well.... The films plot was simple but still fun to see. New DVD features include more documentaries than were on previous releases and a remastered widescreen version of the trailer ( 2.35:1) as opposed to the previous 16 x 9 release. The only problem is that I have an old tape with all the Bond trailers through A View to A Kill and there was a different version of the trailer and I have never seen it again adn the tape I have is so old it is not watchable but I do remember an entirely different version, perhaps that was the teaser....anyway besides that, the extras are great, for what they are. The 1080P presentation is great and the sound is awesome and this is a great bond to hear in 5.1 ( 7.1 if you have it).

I enjoyed this movie and was glad to be able to add it to my collection at such a reasonable price, The story is a little far-fetched though. Loved the action scenes.

This may not be the best Bond film, but it does have the best plot. Roger Moore is back and he brought Richard Kiel back as the indestructable Jaws. Set in space, it has a good villain and an okay Bond girl. Overall, great movie!!

    Average 'Bond' Movie

'Moonraker' was a cool concept for a 'James Bond' film, but it just doesn't quite match up in terms of quality when you compare it to many of the other, much better '007' pictures. Still, well worth it for fans of Ian Fleming's famed character. Die-hard fans will probably want to get the more expensive 2-disc special edition instead!

If you love watching bad movies, this is one for you. Probably the campiest Bond movie out there.
