First of all, I'll honestly tell you that I am not a firm believer of Motorola since my Devour phone stopped working in less than a year and my XOOM stopped working after only 4 days. That being said, the Droid X so far has worked without a problem. the processor is very fast and my Apps and videos load relatively quickly. Yes sometimes it freezes, but not often, but then again this is a phone, & not a laptop or television. 3G service is adequate for my browsing, e-mail, and social networking needs. Often the problem is not the network platform, but the phone itself. Droid X loads and runs web content much faster and smoother than the Devour ever did. The camera is excellent, but the photo and video processing programs leave a lot to be desired. A third party app will probably solve the problem. Battery life is also very good. My Devour would drain in half a day unless I turn off all the smart phone features, but then why have a smartphone? I tested it by leaving WIFI on, gmail, yahoo, facebook sync active, and having my son play games for two hours and I still had 80% charge. I left it uncharged all day and night with same settings, except gaming, and it still had half its charge. Very sturdy, typical of Motorola, structure. I still recommend a screen protector and a case or sleeve of some sort. So far a good Android competitor of the iPhone. Crossing my fingers that its not a lemon. LOL

Got this phone 3 days ago. It does so much it will take me a week to look at everything it does. Comes with many useful apps already loaded on it. Setup my personnal email, work email, and facebook account in no time. The voice commands are great, just say what you want to find or some business you want to call and presto, its done. Camera and HD video work well also. Good selection of free apps at the market place and tons of other apps for a small fee. Was easy to setup and pair with my truck bluetooth. Also synced it to Windows media player and home and easily downloaded music to the SD card. I was skeptical about buying a phone with such a large touchscreen, but I bought a case that had a rubber case for the phone and a belt clip that works just fine. The large screen is worth getting.

Droid X is a great phone. It is a mini laptop. The internet speed is FABULOUS! The 8 mp camera is great! I came from a Droid, so this is really an improvement. It does everything so fast! The only design flaw is that the back, home, menu and search buttons you have to actually push. The old Droid, they were touch. I think there is just enough room at the bottom of the screen, that they could have put it there. The battery life is terrible, but you can purchase an extended life battery and that should help. Over all, I give this phone an A!! It seems like a very large phone, but it is so light weight! The screen is amazing.

The Droid X is more like a pocket-sized computer that also makes phone calls!! I was with AT&T for over 10 years and my last phone was a Blackberry Bold. I got tired of the dropped calls and also seeing friends make calls where I had no service so I got the Droid. I am absolutely AMAZED at how powerful this thing is. The touch screen took a little getting used to, but now I would never switch back. I have all of my contacts synced automatically through my Gmail account, so if I ever lose my phone, I can retrieve my contacts without having to remember to back it up all the time like I did with the BB. The camera is fantastic and has excellent picture quality. I recommend getting "Advanced Task Killer Free" from the android market and then set it on "auto kill" and it will double the battery life. I've also got the ZAGG screen protector which is the one they sell at Best Buy, it was worth every penny. The multimedia charging stand is cool, but it doesn't work if you have a hard case on the phone :(

My 1st smartphone, what can I say it does everything. Still learning everything it can do. Got 1st version with 16 GB card. Battery life is not the best, but I bought the charging stand and it works great. Android takes some gettimg used to but once you learn it is great. Unbelievable amount of apps out there. I use it for everything. No regrets at all

I have had a ton of phones none of them compare to this one I'm do glad to have it
