I am using this product to extend my home network to a room that could not be easily wired. The primary purpose of the connection is to stream Playon video and access my media library. Video streaming has been outstanding. The only negative I had with the product was the inability to adjust the brightness of the LED indicators. I solved this wth a piece of black electrical tape which you cannot even detect. All and all I am very satisfied with the product.

I got this so I could get a faster wireless connection to my PS3 and my satellite DVR for downloading movies on demand. This thing is super fast on my wireless n network. Best purchase I have made in a while. Add it with a ethernet hub and you can use multiple devices off of this one unit. Awesome!!!!!

    Does the job

It does what it is supposed to do. The first unit died after 1 week but BB replaced it no questions asked. If you are not already running in WPA2 mode, you may want to switch. I was running WPA and the device connected intermittently. After the switch to WPA2, everything has worked without incident.

Tried Cisco WET610N - paid twice as much and was very frustrated by all of the drop outs. I am using an Apple Airport Extreme and have a minimum of 16 wireless devices going at any one time. The NETGEAR Universal Wi-Fi Adapter works great with my SlingBox and the streaming is EXCELLENT! I will be purchasing 2 more units tomorrow.

It was a little difficult for me to initially get connected, but i eventually got it to work. Once I upgaded to a router with WPS had no problems at all. I would definitely reccomend this for any one with WPS, without it, it was a little difficult to connect, at least for me.

Great Product and Just What I was looking for

It is a great product but setup is based on the pin setup used by a lot of the newer products which is okay but, if you want to secure it more and to work with you more secure network it's not very easy to get to that function as with some of the other netgear products. Overall it's great and working perfectly and would recommend it as a product for universal adapter.

Works as advertised. Just one bit of advise though, in your router give the NetGear wnce2001a static route IP address. After I assigned a static route to the device it has been working flawlessly for multiple devices attached to a switch with their connection through the one device to the internet.

    Solved my network problems

My wireless network router is in my business office of my home. The living room with HDTV, Wii, and Wireless Blu-Ray are at the other end of the house. The product allows me to receive signal on all three devices (individually- not at the same time) from more than 120 feet from the router. The signal is strong enough to download movies onto the Blu-Ray player using this device.

Good Device, Directions - not so good

The device works as advertised for a PC and current printer but a lack of detail in the installation instructions failed the install with an older HP Printer. I value my time so after 2 hrs, returned it and found another device which met my needs.

I was a little disappointed with this product. The guy at the store said he never heard anyone complain about this product so I gave it a try. It loses connection often and it's not my router because everything else connected to it works fine. It's not even that far from my computer, maybe 15 feet max. I get really annoyed with it at times when I use my TV for netflix or pandora and it craps out...repeatedly. I can't leave it on all the time either, it gets hot and won't work. Otherwise this is a great product when it works.

This little adaptor is the answer to my prayers. I was searching for a simple, inexpensive solution that would allow me to connect my Blu-Ray player to my network so I could stream movies to my big screen. This guy works flawlessly and is super simple to install. I highly recommend it.

I bought this adapter because my blu-ray player is no longer located right next to my router so it was either get a wireless adapter or run a cable through the house. The setup was simple, just follow the directions. I haven't had any problems with it. I haven't even had to think about it since I installed it, it just does its job effortlessly.

Needed a hard wired Ethernet connection for a Denon AVR. Most defaults were correct and it quickly logged into my WIFI network. Even with power outages it comes back up and reconnects automatically. Compact and easy to place in entertainment center. Status lights are discrete but useful. Seems very stable, works great..

A Best Buy employee recommended this product which was half the price of another unit I was considering. I am happy with the purchase for the price though sometimes it will lose the internet connection.

    Nice Little Device

Used it to wirelessly network a printer with a LAN interface. Very easy to configure (5 minutes) and install. Also like the fact that with its small footprint and included velcro it easily mounts righ on the back of the printer. Had to reset it only once in several weeks and that was after an outage of the access point.
