Poorly done! See sloppy work with wires left in front of furniture instead of behind as was the case before Geek Squad. The add-on was $50 because a supervisor present to monitor the team of workers wouldn’t educate me on successfully connecting the Sonos device. I though Total membership included education on using devices.

Overall decent experience with these guys. My only complaints were, not receiving a follow-up call to see if everything was working correctly and 2 of the speaker wires were left loose which arched and shut down the tuner.

Jerry from the Geek Squad did a really nice job on installing our two in-wall speaker mounts. The power cords that go from the outlet to the in-wall area are EXTREMELY long and look horrible!
The normal distance between studs in a wall is 16" so why in the world is the power cable so long?!

The network audio set up - I am not happy with the final part of the installation. They had put in plates to get the wire from the wall, and they didn’t cover it. They said I have to get it. Why should I get it? They are supposed to cover it. They charged me for furniture installation but they didn’t even remove a shelf saying it is not removable. I was able to unscrew it and remove it. The denominator receiver would go in the shelf that was the intent.

Sonos Speaker Mount Installation

The installation was smooth, quick and worth the money. I had recently purchased Sonos Era 300 speakers which are bulky and heavy and wanted to mount them on the wall rather than put them on speaker stands. Given the wall mounts were a bit more technical than the floor stands and the speakers themselves were heavy, to avoid the risk of potentially dropping the speakers or not installing them correctly on studs, I had geek squad come to complete the work. The technician was on time, called prior to coming out, was respectful of my home, was very neat/tidy with his work cleaning as he went, and applied technical precision when measuring. If you are looking to have any installation done, it is worth hiring someone to do it right. I would highly recommend the Geek Squad.

Techs came to install our new Sonos/Sonance/TV system. However it seemed to be more complicated to them while our system seemed to be a typical system to us. They stayed with it and did complete the install however it took many techs in and out of the house during the install which became confusing for the main tech there. These "setup costs" are priced per each component you purchase. With a full new system being installed it became quite costly for the install. All in all the techs are very good and know their business. the system ended up installed properly once a tech came back to complete a few items.

Geek Squad connected systems and got it running.
First crew out we’re not very knowledgeable and could NOT compete the job. Level 2 technician returned days later and was great! Zayne was thoughtful and very knowledgeable.
Geek Squad needs to send right technician to complete the task. Took 2 weeks but job done right, thanks to Zayne.

The crew came and installed my equipment efficiently. Not only were they careful with the install, they set up my app, and showed me how to use the new equipment. They took their showing me how it works. They also showed patience when I was taking notes. They cleaned up and discarded all packaging material.

I love the Geek Squad. They came installed the TV mount and then put my TV on the wall and the Sound bar under the TV. Set up everything for me. I didn't have to do anything. Made the necessary adjustments. I will always recommend using the Geek Squad to install the TV mount and place everything together. They clean up after themselves. And then you are good to go.

Geek Squad installed 2 new LG TVs with Sonos speakers. They were efficient and professional. Billie took his time to show us how to use the equipment and gave us advise on future Sonos equipment that would help tie in the new construction speakers to the Sonos receiver systems.

We had a 2 techs come out. First time was to install our 85 in tv and sound bar. When they brought it in Alex said there was no way to install it, it wouldn’t fit. Without taking it out of the box they returned it. He was very knowledgeable, professional and knew what had to be done. He then went back to store and tried to find a tv that would work with our bracket. He was honest and told us we would have to have the brick cut out to make room for the tv. Told us what ever we decided to do the manager seas aware of the situation. We decided to hold off on the tv but still wanted the sound bar hung. Went into store and talked to the manager and he had to order the right one. First one we were sold didn’t work. Thanks to Alex checking the wrong bracket was ordered. So again he reordered the right bracket. If it was not for Alex and the tech that was with him we would have cancelled everything.

When I buy a big ticket TV at Best Buy, I always purchase the Geek Squad delivery and set up. They do this every day and their exceptional service takes the guess work out of setting up the TV and making sure it works before they leave. I engaged multiple vendors while looking to install serveral TVs and Home theater. Personally, I thought that the other vendors were going to win my business. However, I can say that the Sales team and Installation teams won me over. During the Sales process, the team was very knowledgeable and straight. They sold me what I needed by truly understanding what I was looking for. All the other vendors, just defaulted to the most expensive options on the equipment even when they were not practical for what I needed. During the installation, they absolutely blew my mind because they did such a clean job. This is my 4th project like this over the years and I have never seen a team more professional, knowledgeable, and skilled. Everything worked beautify and still going!!! I would absolutely recommend you check Best Buy Sales team and the Geek Squad based on my experience.
