These boxes are the cover of choice for me. They are durable although you can snap the clip if you're not careful. I've dropped my phone a few times and it keeps on keepin' on so I think the case is doing its job.

As far as protecting the phone- Otterboxes are great and this one seems to be no exception. A new style, but essentially the same build. Although the case in general keeps the phone safe, the plastic peices tear pretty quickly. These pieces tear off around the jacks and ports first, then start to peel off other places. Cosmetically, you look like you can't afford another one in a short amount of time which is horrible considering that these cases are so expensive and that I can't actually afford another one quickly. This one was for my son, it's his 5th Otterbox. He's currently 16 and has had this phone since he was 13. They have kept it alive when no other handheld electronic has lived though his (Nintendo DS, PSPs, etc.).

This case provides great protection for my phone. My kids handle my phone a lot and I don't have to worry about how many times it gets dropped!

I've had many covers, this is the best durable cover that I've had. it bounces if you drop it and no damage to the phone. Great cover for the price.

I was having problems with dropping my phone in water and getting water splashes on it. I work as a cook, which involves a lot of movement; as a result I would drop my phone or have water splash on it even if it was in my pocket. Since I purchased the case, I have not had any water damage. In addition, the case came with a belt clip, so I no longer have to dig through my pockets in search of my phone. Excellent product for a working person.

The otter box case is awesome. It offers great protection as well as allowing the user to display his/her personality with the fantastic designs.

This is the second one I purchased. Initial one lasted over 2.5 years of hard daily use. Purchased another for new iPhone. Clip finally gave out. But like the style and high level of protection for phone.

The case is excellent for protecting the phone if dropped. I dropped the phone in water and the phone was not damaged.

I find the otter box to be better than the life proof case. Fully enclosed and no issues. It's way cheaper and worth the money. Worth every penny

The Otter Box Defender is a great protective case! I received an iPhone from my work and had to protect it (or pay $250 if damaged) and my first choice was to look at an O.B. Truly is the best product on the market for the price to protect your device! It has already saved me the replacement cost of the phone when I dropped it in the airport. I doubt many other cases would have prevented damage in that instance. Thanks O.Box! It was so good I purchased one for my mom and got rid of her useless bling bling case. She now loves it.

This is a great phone protector. My phone didn't break when I dropped it. Love the color -- hadn't found that color anywhere else but Best Buy!

It doesnt feel as strong as the 3gs defender i had, my 3gs defender never stretched out and no fitting issues but after tear of use the grippy texture wore off the back bjt it went thru dropping in water, dropping from a high height and phone still looked great, the 4s feels lighter and not as strong but ive already dropped it and it held up,my main issue is acter a month the top right corner of the outer rubber layer doesnt fit snug now, besides that its a great case

bought this about 2 weeks ago and love how it protects iphone from scratches, and drops. It;s easy to find because of the hot pink color.

Love the belt clip, screen shield, colors and protectiveness. It is rather bulky but I guess it has to be inorder to protect the phones.

Very sturdy. Made out of nice material. Already saved my phone as I dropped it out of my pocket. No harm what so ever. I like it.

I purchased an Otter Box Defender Series case for myself and liked it so much and it was so functional in protecting my phone that I bought one for my mother to protect her iPhone. She had a useless foo-foo blingy case and was always complaining she was afraid she was going to drop the phone and break it (again). I put the O.B. defender on it and she loves the no worry feeling of just being able to throw it in her purse, not have to stress about the rain getting it wet or dropping it. So far, so good.
