Apps are great. This is a great for both 3D Blu-rays and standard Blu-rays. Works great with my Panasonic Plasma. Picture is stunning!!

This is my first Blu-Ray player so I don't have much to compare it to except not having a Blu-Ray player! I've only watched about a half dozen Blu-Ray movies so far and I can see a distinct clarity difference as well as much improved audio. Internet surfing isn't as easy as with a computer or my iPad but, the occasional quick check of something online is handy. The NetFlix one-button connect is great! Streaming video on my flat screen TV is way better than on the computer or iPad. At just over $100, this was worth every dime and then some.

Enjoying using my new smart blu-ray player. Disc play is quick, steady, and silent. It has lots of apps, and plays the most important ones; Netflix and Pandora. A big plus is also the SD & USB reader slots, and that it access content off the home network. Three months of good service so far. Only concern is the hanging and freezing when playing some bluray discs. Though I think a firmware update that is available will fix this.

We're very pleased with our Panasonic Blu-Ray player. With the sale price combined with our Reward Zone points, we got a great deal. Had it set-up and online in 10 minutes! The only drawback was that the first one we purchased stopped working after one week. It couldn't find our wi-fi. My husband had a pleasant experience with Panasonic's customer service center. The CSR spoke English and wasn't reading from a script!

I've only had this player for a couple of months and use it regularly. I found it very easy to connect to my home's Wi-Fi network and streaming has been a breeze. I don't use Netflix but the remote control has a dedicated button for those with Netflix accounts. Getting to movie menus is quick and easy and the remote operates well from many locations within my living room unlike my previous unit that required I be almost exactly in front of the machine and at its level. All-in-all, a great choice and very reasonably priced!

I purchased this player to go with a tv in my bedroom that doesnt have internet access or any online apps to use. its small and fits great in the bedroom with the tv. the player turns my tv into a smart tv. alot of useful apps like netflix hulu.etc. I have the previous model as well the only difference is that this model does not have the touch-free sensor to open the player. no be deal, but i think its a cool option.

After struggling to get my previous BluRay player to work properly, I purchased this Panasonic BluRay player. It has been very easy to use, was easy to set up and it offers everything I could possibly want. It has had no problems playing DVD's, BluRays or hooking up to the internet.

I needed to upgrade my old Blu-ray player because it was hanging on layer changes and very slow to load a movie. This one has no problems with hanging and starts movies up much quicker. It also has more services built in. Netflix and Hulu should be expected, but this also includes Amazon Instant video which is less common. The only downside to this player is lack of output options. To get audio output separate from the HDMI signal, you have to use an optical connector. Unfortunately, my receiver wants an RCA connector for the DVD player, meaning I had to use the CD input to get audio, and that's not configured for surround. So, if you want to hook this up to a home audio system, make sure you can use an optical input for the sound, or be able to pull it out of the HDMI.

I like this player. It's easy to set up and use. I bought this primarily because my previous player no longer supports firmware updates, despite being less than two years old. Panasonic has a solid reputation for support in this area. I also appreciate having optical digital audio, for use with a home theater system. Some users are annoyed by advertisements appearing in the menu, but they are short-lived. I use this primarily to play discs rather than for streaming.

We bought this player after our old pre-Blu-Ray model died. We wanted the unit to play regular DVDs and upconvert them to HD, as well as play new Blu-Ray DVDs, but we really were looking for one particular feature: A BUILT-IN WEB BROWSER. We needed this feature because we have an AMAZON PRIME account which allows us to watch movies over the internet, but as far as we can tell, no DVD player has a built-in app for it. I guess Amazon expects most people to watch the movies on their laptops or on their tablets, but we really want to make it a family viewing on our TV without having to go through our computer. The setup for the browser was simple, and a direct connection to your cable modem is best, although it has wi-fi which works as well. You have to be careful with wi-fi, because other users and interference can cause the movies to pause, and the direct wired connection provides the best possible bandwidth for HD movies on-line. Overall, this player was an excellent value, and is well designed and built. No complaints at all.

This Smart Bluray player is awesome. It's a bit, ahh, interesting to setup the more advanced features (secure wireless network, DLNA, Miracast) using the setup menus but it plays amazing 3d movies with no problems. It was on-sale and I'm glad i got it instead of the cheaper brands. The HDMi hookup for the TV and the optical audio are easy and output is stunning.

Haven't used the 3D features so no comment there. Disk playback is excellent. Has an optical output (which was a requirement for me). The UI leaves a lot to be desired. Not intuitive. A bit sluggish. But everything works and there is no reason that they couldn't update the UI eventually.
