Really fun game, especially for the money it costs. Challenging and keeps you on your toes! Very fun with a co-op partner. My only complaint is that the controls take some getting used to. Definitely should be improved in future RE games but it has been the same since RE:4, so I doubt they will. Not a deal breaker, though.

I can not believe people say this game is not good because it has too much action. I love the action and the fact that it has four campaigns is awesome. Note that this is not a remastered version. This is simply a ps3 to ps4 port but it has all the DLC and a new mode to play. I love it and have had fun playing with a friend online. The game looks great, not ps4 great but good enough. I highly recommend this to all my ps4 friends. If your looking for a fun co-op game with action through out, here it is.

Many long time fans of the Resident Evil game series were disappointed with the original release of this game for PS3 and Xbox 360, but don't let this sway you from giving it a play. Resident Evil 6 is fantastically remastered in its clarity and impressive 60 frames per second. The game plays very well for originally coming out in 2012. It tackles 4 different and fittingly long story lines. Each have unique gameplay experiences. Individual campaign stories interweave with one another, being led by new and veteran characters from the series. The campaign is fun and even (YES) creepy and frightening at times (especially Leon's story). Grab a friend and play co-op from beginning to end, it's even more fun! I've had a great time playing this game. For being a well-remastered edition costing only $15 - $20, you can't go wrong!

there are many people who do not like this game and i can understand why. i was one of those people. i been playing RE games since the original RE game released back in 1995. i been a long time fan ever since. i only finished RE5 and RE 6 just recently and it's 2019. when RE6 released, i passed on it, mainly b/c of the bad reviews it got. now that it goes for only $20, i figured it won't hurt me to give the game a chance. for all you original RE fans out there, you will be somewhat disappointed b/c this game IS NOT a survival horror game, it's an action game. if you go into this game knowing that it's an action RE game and not expect it to be a survival horror game, you will enjoy this game. if you are a fan of RE, i recommend you play this game! it's not perfect, but it does a good job adding to the lore of RE. imo, it's not as good as RE4 or Revelations 2. i still HATE the partner system. i don't know why capcom insist on having a partner follow you around every sec in this game. it is not as bad as RE5, but still annoying. imo, i rather play as one character, ALONE, w/NO backup. this would make the game more scary b/c you are alone and isolated. having another character backing me up robs me of this sensation. if you look at the original RE games, you are isolated and alone, no one there to help you. it's just you and the monsters, which makes the experience very scary. besides the stupid partnering system, this game is very good. great boss fights, great action, great story. WARNING: you will be frustrated playing this game b/c some parts of the game is tough, but in a good way. i love how the chapters intertwine w/each other. you'll get to see the story from different perspective depending on what chapters you choose. the controls are good as well. going forward, i hope capcom takes this franchise back to it's roots. DO NOT pull a RE7 again, but that is another review i need to do :)

I'm going to give two disclaimers at the beginning of this review. One is that I've only ever played the PS1 Resident Evil game before this game. The other is that I spent little time at all with this version of the game. Taking into account these two facts, I'm not really fit to review these version as a game, but rather as a port, which is what this review entails. Resident Evil 6 originally came out in 2012, and coming from the divisive Resident Evil 5 it was under heavy scrutiny, and was trashed as a result. The core gameplay from that version is mostly unchanged here except for one aspect I'll cover soon, so if you hated it back then this version won't change your opinion. What it does change, however, is that the game is in 1080p at 60 frames per second. I'll explain what this means for those less technologically engaged. 1080p refers to resolution or amount of pixels on the screen, which is 1920 pixels by 1080 pixels, compared to the original 1280 pixels x 720 pixels is ran at, which is about 2.25 times more detail, and looks much cleaner. 60 frames per second refers to the amount of times the game takes in input per second and refreshes the screen, which is twice as much as the originals 30 frames per second. This actually has a huge effect on the responsiveness of the game, the only real change in gameplay. These two factors make the game look pretty darn great compared to the originals release, and while doesn't look better than native PS4 games, is pretty darn good looking. In addition, this version includes all the DLC, which includes single player and multiplayer, as well as the old mercenaries mode, the original campaign, and local and online co-op, although you can only play with other PS4 owners, so your friends would need to upgrade two. In conclusion, this port looks good, feels good, and is a great value compared to the old release, and would recommend it wholeheartedly to fans of Resident Evil 6, and would encourage fans of 3rd person shooters to give this definitive and cheap edition a try.

What is considered a let down in the Resident Evil franchise this remaster looks incredible and a lot of fun especially if you go at it with a friend. I am a hard core resident evil fan and yes this game is not a true horror adventure like the originals but it gets a bad wrap. Worth every cent at $20 is a steal cnsidering its includes all the DLC, runs at 1080p and 60 fps! Ignore the hates and scoop it up.

Resident Evil 6 is considered the weakest of the Resident Evil main franchise. There are many reasons for this such as the Michael Bay stylized frequent explosions and set pieces to the rampant Quick Time Events. The story isn't the best and there is a lot of backtracking with all the individual campaigns. For those who favor the traditional survivor horror experience, you will find it strange to be using cover shooting in a Resident Evil game. Nevertheless, the game's combat system is more fleshed out and being able to shoot, while moving is a huge plus compared to earlier games (the Revelation games have adopted this). The more in-depth melee and countering system gives you more option aside from just using your guns. The game's story is also a decent length with four campaigns each lasting about five hours each. Fortunately, you don't have to babysit your A.I. partner though the game is best played in co-op. The best part about this remaster is that the game runs at a higher framerate that usually hits 60 fps. For RE6, this is a huge improvement since the game's combat is much more faster paced compared to earlier entries. This version also includes all the DLC for mercenaries and the various mode. If you haven't played RE6 yet, this is the version to get and for the price it's definitely worth picking up given its wealth of content.

Many have dismissed Resident Evil 6 based on reviews without having played the game. I decided to give the game a shot and haven't been disappointed. It takes a turn from the series and goes with a straight up action approach. However, as a fan of the series you'll also find that each campaign in the game is a throwback to the older games.

I have played Resident Evil on previous consoles, but I am new to PS4, and wanted to jump right in. RE6 is beautiful graphically and easy to jump into. The story is fast and furious, and very entertaining. I highly recommend this chapter of this ongoing series.

Resident Evil 6 offers a fun local/multiplayer co-op experience. There is four campaigns which can all be played with a friend. The story is straight forward and will not leave you in awe honestly. Pros: Coop/multiplayer. Very few game supports local coop which is why I got this game. The price, affordable/cheap. Includes all the DLC. Fun MP/local gamemodes. Graphics is good and the voice acting brings the classic voices from character we like playing (Leon from RE4, Ada Wong, Chris Redfield etc). Cons: Resolution when playing local coop has black boarders and limits your view. Makes it very difficult playing from a distance. The campaign story is quite weak, especially when compared to the story/plot twist/moments from the old Resident Evil games. You won't find that true RE story experience we all love.

Resident Evil 6 brought something new to the story - a chance to play 4 complete stories that merge into one overall larger story. The play styles between the original 3 campaigns vary differently. The 4th campaign is more puzzle based.

Resident Evil 6 is a solid game with lots to do. Just beating the game once takes almost 30 hours on normal difficulty. It consists of 4 campaigns Leon, Chris, Jake, and Ada. The best campaign is by far is Leon's. It has the best mixture of action, exploring, and good ole' Resident Evil scares that harks back to Resident Evil 4 (my favorite game of the series). Chris's was my least favorite. It is more action oriented but lack of ammo is really annoying. And because is supposed to be action, not stealth, there aren't ways to avoid conflicts like the other campaigns. However, annoyances aside, it's a solid game that was well worth the $13 I paid for it (I have GCU). It runs at a solid 60 fps at 1080p which is nice bump from last gen's 720p. All in all, I would recommend it to any Resident Evil fan.

The sixth game is more action-based than the others, so it is a good shooter game, but vastly different from what defines Resident Evil as what it is; the horror and bad controls that make encounters more serious.

I bought the original in 2012, and couldn't pass up this one since it comes with all the DLC. The co-op is still fun as ever. The game runs at 60fps and plays a lot more smoother than the original PS3/X360.

Not your standard Resident Evil. You get 4 characters to choose from, each with its own gameplay style. The stories intertwine and form one big story. Graphics are nice, game is fun, price is great.
