This is a good soundbar for the 5$ I paid.its great because its Bluetooth.its durable and the sound is way better than my iPad. The speakers pop out and in for protection.its really strong.u won't break it.but if u want booming sound, buy something else.

portable - yes, sound quality - no

This gadget is great for being able to tote a speaker system without any damage to the collapsible speakers. Sound quality is what i was after - no, not the quality of a Boss system, but gosh, give me a little bit of bass! I get 10x more bass out of my S9-HD bluetooth headphones!! This rocketfish has no bass capacity whatsoever (from what i've seen)...the treble seems to rule regardless of your equalizing setting. For the price, I was hoping for something a lot larger like the "Creative D200 Wireless". This is only 9ish inches in length and 7.8oz in weight, so don't expect anything amazing! If portability is what you're after without the sound quality - then you've found a good match. For me, I'm going to try out the Creative D200 as I'm not satisfied with throwing money away on this one. I'm going to keep looking.

    Great idea. Horrible sound quality

I like how my local Best Buy has these speakers stored in a shelf way in the back underneath all the tablets. It's as if it was an indirect warning that I totally ignored. I figured, great, it's a steal. $25 for Bluetooth speakers so I can hook up my Nexus 7 to it and be able to carry it around the room while the audio streams towards the speakers. The problem? The audio is horrible. It's like a contraption built with tweeters but no mid/low speakers to even out the sound. It really sounded bad. After an hour, I drove back to my local Best Buy and immediately returned it. Shoot for higher quality Bluetooth speakers. This is definitely not worth it.

    It's OK

The idea of a speaker that fits into the triangular hole made by the iPad smart cover is quite ingeneous. Not sure why it needs to be BT, because out of the cover hole, it isn't attractive enough to be enjoyed. So if it will always be in the cover, an earphone cable would have worked fine. The edges are kind of hard and pointy so traveling with it really yearns for some case/cover. Charges via a mini USB port, while the whole world seems to be going micro USB. The charge port is in the middle so you can't charge the unit while it is in the tunnel. The speakers pop out of the ends, with a simple push in, kind of like an SD card does. They click back in for storage/transport. Clicking them in or out turns them off/on. That said it is just BT A2DP, so it connects fine with anything that supports that. Worked with a Nexus and a Windows Phone of mine. Sound is OK considering the size of the speakers. When using them with the iPad in landscape, with the smart cover, they seem almost a part of the unit, just sticking out slightly. I got it on sale, so am not dissatisfied. Would be if I had paid the normal price. For that you can get a much better sounding set of speakers, BT or otherwise.

    What a nice surprise!

First let me say that I purchased this as a deal of the day and I am so glad I did. Pros: Very good sound quality. I must say that I am very surprised at the quality of the sound from these little speakers. I like how each speaker is at the end - and it makes sense that it is that way so the sound is not blocked - but it also adds to some very good stereo separation. The range is excellent! I went in to our living room to test the speakers on the New iPad. After doing my tests, I turned it off and went into my office which is a few rooms away. Trying to connect them to my Nexus 7, as soon as I turned the speakers back on I got the connect beep and realized they had a much greater range than I thought. Ended up having to go back to the iPad in the living room and turn bluetooth off. So far the battery life seems to be pretty nice. I have two movies and some messing around testing and they are still going strong. I think I'll let them run out so I can get a good idea. Cons: wow I so hesitate to mention this because I don't think it is a speaker issue, but it needs to be mentioned. The volume when connected to my iPad or iPhone is only marginally louder, but when connected to the Nexus 7, I have to turn the volume down a little. There is a definite distinction between different devices. Also it is worth mentioning that not all apps on the iPhone and iPad output audio to the speakers - again this is more a programming error than a fault of the speakers, but worth mentioning. My last little quip (not sure what a quip is, but less than a gripe) is the "feel" of the material the speaker is made of. To me it is almost like nails on a chalkboard if that makes sense. I would not return them because of this, but at the same time I find myself not wanting to touch them - silly I know, but there it is. Overall they are awesome speakers - even at the $24 mark I would not hesitate getting them now that I have used them, but better yet watch those deals of the day and maybe you can get one for $10 as well. Hope this helps!

    Basic Blue Tooth Speaker

I guess for the price we can't expect much or have the same quality of a wired pair but if you need it only to have a basic sound then is not so bad but if you need better stereo sound I would look for a better quality than this model.

Bought this for a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 because the volume on some of the movies we had been watching were not loud enough and we were going on a long trip. Chose the Rocketfish for the price and the sleek looks. Unfortunately you cannot usually test these things in the store. It is actually a little long to easily fit in a laptop bag which detracts from the portability aspect. You press on both ends of the triangular bar and the speakers spring out. This also serves as the on/off switch on one end. However on mine the latch mechanism on that speaker did not work correctly so it would not shut off. It may have an auto-off after a certain period of inactivity but if not I would need to recharge every time we wanted to use it. If that had been the only problem I would have just exchanged for another. When paired to the Samsung, there was almost no improvement in volume than without it. Took it back the next day and got the iHome IDM12. Nearly three times the price but it is much more portable, sound and volume are very good and no spring loaded mechanisms to break.

My parents bought these speakers for me as a gift for Christmas. They knew I had complained about using my iPod on a trip with friends and how I couldn't hear my music in the hotel room we stayed at, with all of us talking. It needed to be louder! So, they got me these. Unfortunately, while they work and sound nice, there is no volume control and they play at almost exactly the same level as the existing iPod speakers (I have a 1st generation iPod). And, annoyingly enough, they don't even work in conjunction with the iPod, they 'take over' the iPod and all of the sound comes out solely out of this speaker. I was shocked when I went back and looked at the reviews - apparently none of the reviewers ever needs to turn up the volume!

    Great Bluetooth Speakers!

Bought this for my husband to use with his iPad. I liked the way it fit behind the pad and cover. I also like the fact that when not in use, you can push the speakers inside the hard tube where they are protected. Recently, used it at a family gathering where my husband selected some music to listen to, then set ' just the speakers' on the kitchen table, where everyone was gathered. Now several family members want to buy one. If you buy it, you'll enjoy it!

This is just ok. I would say that it should not get for thinking that the sounds is louder. My usb speakers are better.

I wanted something that would be great for parties. The associate promised great loud speaker quality but it does not produce that. Also, the Bluetooth does not have much of a distance range. Pay the extra few dollars and buy a Logitech wireless boom box.

These speakers sync easily & don't lose connection with my iPad until u push the button in. It was expecting them to amplify the sound more than what my iPad would but they don't and that was a bit disappointing to me. Therefore, I don't use them as much as I would like to. Overall, they work beautifully.

I purchased this speaker system for my IPad . Thinking Rocket fish products have been good in the past. I was disappointed with this unit. The Bluetooth worked great and was just what I wanted until I heard it. I might have gotten one that was bad from the factory but I didn't check. I tried it out and put it back in the box and returned it because the sound quality was awful. The unit cost $79 and sounded terrible. I spent $29 on a Logitech speaker unit really similar but wired vrs. Bluetooth. And was amazed at the sound. I do not recommend the rocket fish unit.

Bought this bluetooth speaker to take on the school bus so the kids could hear movies being shown on my IPad. It didn't work. They still could not hear. In a room at home it works fine and the sound is definitely louder than just from the IPad speaker, but in a noisy setting, you still can not hear.

It connected to my iPad, but the sound was barely above the iPad. Will not connect to my laptop or Galaxy S3. There are better products; I bought it because it's cheap, you get what you pay for.

We hoping this would be good, neat design that fit perfectly inside smart cover, but it wasn't. It was decent quality while watching a tv show with just spoken word but a when I tried it with music it was awful. Sounded like a tin can. I shut it off after a few seconds and returned it. It also never got much louder than the built in speaker. I'll stick to my B&W P5 headphones.

Bought a pair for $4.99 each and playing around with them on a PC running win 7,great sound and plenty of volume watching you tube videos.Definitely well built all metal construction, adjusting your sound card really makes a difference, would be nice if they had a little more bass but at this price I can not complain.

Didn't even get a chance to hear them. After being plugged into computer for couple of minutes, the indicator turned orange. There is nothing in the minimal instructions that says anything about this. I can only assume orange means they are not charging. I unplugged them and will be returning these to the store.
