First a word of caution. There are an incredible amount of model numbers so pay very close attention when comparing. Not all models are created equal. I purchased this model because it has all the advanced features that most people should probably need ex for those enamored with the very high end. Built in wifi, smart capability and 120 hz refresh all make for a great overall experience. Like 99% of all TVs, sound will need to be supplemented with a sound bar/dedicated surround sound system. The picture on this model is absolutely stunning, with both cable (Xfinity) and digital/DVD sources. If you have patients you can find this for $579, and incredible value at this discounted price point

I read reviews before I bought this set as a wanted a TV with little to no motion blur for sports and video games and this set delivers. The only motion blur I've seen is typically on NBC and I think that's due to their compression methods. I found pro calibration settings on a website named rtings.com (like ratings without the A). Very good picture. Some reviews said the online/app software was clunky but I don't see any problems with it. Got this on sale for $580 in January 2016.

Our Samsung 55" Smart TV provides us outstanding television viewing in every way possible, except for the poor rear speakers. Of course, we knew that going in and purchased an Insignia sound bar that provides great sound. One feature we love is that we no longer have to draw the curtains to keep bright sunlight from hindering our view. This Samsung automatically adjusts the picture accordingly. We wonder, what took us so long to upgrade from our 27" TV. We will no longer be embarrassed to invite friends over to watch our beloved Missouri Tiger Football team for some big game. Thank you so much Best Buy for making the entire big screen purchase experience so enjoyable!

Great TV!! Great picture and easy to set up and use. I researched a lot before choosing this tv and this tv seemed to be the best tv for the the price- I didn't think it was worth the extra hundreds of dollars to get 4K and I am so glad that I purchased this tv!! The sales people at Brier Creek Best Buy, Raleigh NC were very helpful, friendly and patient with me in my decision making process(I went back several times before choosing). The only thing I didn't realize when I bought was how many HDMI ports it has- it has 2 and I also purchased a sound bar that's plugged in to HDMI and the DVR is plugged in to the other one. I was going to get a bluray player too and wanted to use HDMI for it, but my regular DVD player is plugged in with components and picture looks great on this tv. Great tv at a great price at Best Buy!

i purchased the samsung 55" tv for my mom for mother's day and she loves it!!! so easy to set up....user friendly features...excellent resolution...she especially likes the usb ports available to watch her grandchildren's online videos on the big screen. she can surf the web...watch netflicks....she only wishes it could also do laundry!!! LOL

We are pleased with the Samsung 55" smart TV, this is my 4th Samsung flat screen 1080 TV, this one is 1/3 the cost of the 46" I purchased when they first came out. Great picture, good sound. The TV was on sale with free delivery, I was thrilled to pay $15.00 to have the 225 lb Sony and the 125 lb base taken away. The sales associate was very helpful in setting everything up and helping me get a price match. The delivery experience was good, the main issue was the haul away which I'm grateful for. The TV performs as expected, for under $550 it's a great buy. Liked it so much I bought my son and his family one for Xmas.

I was looking for a LED HDTV that had a good color range and handled motion with very little to no blur. This TV fit the bill and was a great deal. The only negative is that the stand is a bit flimsy once the TV is assembled and allows the TV to wobble from left to right. Other than that the setup was great and it provides fantastic resolution, virtually no motion blur, and good color range when adjusted.

Huge crystal clear picture. Bright and sharp. Bought this to replace a 32" LG my mother in law had in my living room. Fills the room with picture and sound. The smart function works perfectly. Now I have no need for any other machines in order to watch Netflix or Amazon. Nice feature. Very happy with this product. If you are going to spring for a TV this big, you're going to want to get a sound bar and sub-woofer as well. The internal TV speakers work fine, but you won't get that big booming surround sound without an external speaker system. For price and quality, you can't beat Samsung. I won't buy any other.

This is the 3rd Samsung HD TV we have added to our home and the first Smart TV which I wanted so I wouldn't have to use my laptop to stream movies. The Smart Hub is so easy to use and streaming is a breeze now. Except for the fact that the TV is a 55" and it took 2 people to get it out of the box and get in an upright position, installation and setup was quick and stress free so that we were watching the beautiful picture in a matter of minutes! I love our newest Samsung and would recommend it to any one who wants a fantastic TV that's easy to use and is very affordable. I would give it 10 stars if it were possible!

We are very pleased with the Samsung TV as well as with our purchase experience at Best Buy. The sales personnel at Best Buy were friendly and informative without being pushy. I had done my research prior to entering the store. I pretty much knew what I wanted, but I also wanted to know whether there were alternatives I should consider. I learned the alternatives were 2 to 3 times the cost and I didn't want to go there. The delivery experience was less than ideal. One of the delivery people entered our home with filthy shoes and left a reminder behind on the carpet with no apologies. The TV performs as expected. I did my homework on rtings.com. I knew the few shortcomings of the TV and I knew the price-point. You won't get a Bentley for the price of a Chevy.

After buying another brand 55" TV (Toshiba) and sending it back for an exchange 3 times because it/they were all flawed. We changed brands and bought our Samsung 55". It is wonderful ! The picture is crystal clear...Colors are vibrant and when watching a black & white program it is like watching a 3-D movie. The depth of the picture is amazing !! We love watching it ! Also have to say that working through the problems with the first 3 TV's, setting up the exchanges and deliveries was no problem. Best Buy is wonderful to work with. The customer service was excellent as was the delivery team ! The boys did all the setup and did a perfect job, with the customer being pleased was so very important. I would not hesitate to buy from Best Buy and will do so again !

How does one quantify the experience of going from a dumb Sony flat picture tube TV (27 inch) to this Samsung 55 flat panel TV? Tiz totally awesome. A large part of that is obviously just the format change but I have to say, having seen various friends TVs, this one is great. The whole Wifi connection thing is wonderful. The only minor downsides to this TV are the number of HDMI inputs (2) and the lack of HDMI outputs. If you need those, pick a higher priced model where those are available.

Bought this TV to upgrade from a 32" that was working just fine, but wasn't big enough for the living room. This solved the problem and then some. I mostly use it for gaming and online streaming services, and the picture quality and resolution are excellent. My only gripe is that it's a bit quiet in terms of speakers, but I'm sure most people watching movies have a dedicated surround sound or audio setup. Brightness is also dependent on where you are sitting (it's perfect if you're dead center, a little brighter from angled viewpoints), but it's not a deal breaker. Like I said, it works great for my needs. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and product. I picked it up on sale at my local Best Buy.

I had a need for an LED HDTV that was 500 dollars or less and my max size was 60" based on wall space available. I am a loyal Samsung fan, so Samsung is all I looked at. I was able to get this 55" TV for less than 500 bucks even after 8% tax, which I calculated ahead of time. This is a Smart TV, with built-in WiFi. Amazing. This TV would be like triple this amount 2-3 years ago. I have no need for anything better than 1080p and that's the very best my cable TV provider offers anyway, so I steer clear of those TVs that are truly incredible, but are ahead of their time in my opinion (Ultra HD, 4K, etc). This is the best bang for the buck.

Did my research on the 50" model, got to store & decided to go with the 55". The picture is really great and we only have antenna tv. Taking my time figuring everything out, but +++ on the guide that shows what is coming on that night, still checking out smart hub. We got this tv as a replacement for a different brand (V) that had major issues that could not be fixed. I want to give a super A++ to Tamika who went over and beyond to help us out, great customer service. !!

This is my 2nd TV like this. I liked my 1st so well in the family room that I bought another for my bedroom. I love this model, size, picture and price.. The setup was easy. It mirrors with my Samsung cell and tablet effortlessly. I didn't have any problems with the stand as stated in previous reviews. It's secure and doesn't wobble. The Web also synced quickly with my wifi. Also comes with a smart remote..no need for several other remotes. I'd buy another tv if I had the room. A Samsung smart TV 55",1080p for under $500 with free delivery, you really can't go wrong! Great TV. .Great Price!

I've been using Samsung products for many years, and in my experience they offer some of the highest quality electronics on the market. This TV is no exception. The picture is clear and crisp, and continues to look great regardless of viewing angle. This is my first smart TV, and now that I've experienced the quick access to streaming content that it offers, it's going to be difficult to ever go back! I love having the TV on my home network. It's a snap to stream content from my mobile devices and PC. I couldn't possibly be more pleased with this purchase!

I found this TV as an open-box item at the Springfield, VA store for only $606!! High quality images on dynamic picture setting, decent sound despite the small speakers to keep the TV low profile. I didn't need the 240Hz refresh rate for this particular purchase, so the 120Hz was just fine. The streaming services work seamlessly on this TV as well. I do wish this TV had 4 HDMI inputs instead of 2, but it's serviceable enough to be well worth the price. If you have a receiver with multiple HDMI ports or an HDMI switcher, this issue becomes a non-issue.

This tv is Amazing. The picture is outstanding! The picture is so nice that I have trouble keeping my 16 month old toddler from climbing on the TV Stand to "touch the tv" when he's watching his favorite cartoon Wallykazaam. The picture is so vivid he wants to touch the characters and he NEVER did that with our old tv set and the picture was good too but this ones picture is so amazing it looks like you can touch the images. I highly recommend this tv to anyone looking for a Great tv at a Great price. And it's a smart tv too

We bought this to replace 5-year old plasma. Initial setup is very easy. This model has only 2 HDMI plugs and we're aware of this. We have it for only 3 weeks and we're happy with our choice (quality vs. price). We use it for watching tivi and movies only, so it's very good for these purposes. It's in the living room and we have no problem for the bright (as we did have with the old plasma).
