This monitor is absolutely huge — in the best way possible. The 55" curved screen truly delivers an immersive experience whether you're gaming, watching content, or working across multiple applications. The picture quality is outstanding. The 4K resolution with Quantum Mini-LED tech gives you sharp details, deep blacks, and rich colors that pop.
Gaming on the Odyssey Ark is next level. The 1ms response time and FreeSync Premium Pro make every frame buttery smooth, with no screen tearing or input lag. Whether you're playing FPS, racing sims, or open-world adventures, this screen keeps up flawlessly.
What I love most is the flexibility. The cockpit mode and vertical rotation are game changers. You can split the screen into different layouts, making multitasking easy and efficient. I’ve been able to use it as a full command center—gaming, trading, and productivity all at once.
It’s definitely a premium product, and the price reflects that—but if you want one of the most advanced and visually stunning monitors out there, this is it.
Highly recommended for gamers, content creators, and professionals who want a monitor that does it all.

I got this to replace my Gen 1 ark, now the gen 1 and gen 2 have the exact same panel, but the gen 2 has quite a few features the gen 1 didnt have, such as multi device multiview (the gen 1 could only display 1 HDMI, then the multiview could show the TVs web browser, smart TV functions and a USB camera, the gen 2 can display up to 3 HDMI/Displayport devices at once.
The gen 2 also has displayport whereas the gen 1 only had 4x HDMI.
There are also quite a few sotfware features the gen 1 didnt have that make this a very great buy, the device switching doesnt take nearly as long, VRR actually works and HDR looks much better on this one over the Gen 1.
My only gripe with this is the weight, with its very heavy wood/steel base it weighs almost 100LBS which is a lot for any desk. Thanfully my desk can take up to 250lbs without issue and still raise/lower.

Ok, I love this thing. I’m playing Baldurs Gate 3 at 4K and it’s soooo pretty. Ive got a 3080 that’s driving it fine at 165 refresh, but it does get a little toasty. I bought a usb powered fan from Amazon for 12$ and have it blowing for some extra cooling.
Samsung absolutely nailed this screen. It’s fast and looks great. The hardest thing for a game to manage is fire, and this monitor makes it look like the real thing. Maybe why my graphics card gets hot… lol
I absolutely love the curve and size. Was worried it would be too big in my desk setup but it’s not. I have placed it in “cockpit mode” to make sure the stand works (it does) but this is so good in landscape mode it’s tge “fixed” position for me. It has a regular remote control cuz it’s still a 4K 55” tv. (I have an Apple TV as one of the inputs). It has a knob control thing, which is cool. But 95% of the time I just have my PC running and don’t need it.
It goes on sale for 2K$ all the time. At that price, it’s great!

Love the large screen! I use it for work and gaming purposes. It allows for more comfortable viewing as the screen can be placed far from a desk on its own stand. The sound quality is excellent as well, and the picture quality is clear.

I really wanted to love this monitor but if falls short in many areas. I was hoping to use this single display instead of two stacked 49" G9 OLEDS. I was so wrong. Samsung, that's the product I want!!!
Issues:
1. It's not a real DisplayPort connection.
The DisplayPort 1.4 added to this 2nd Gen appears to be natively HDMI and converted within the One Connect box.
2. You can't split the screen horizontally so that it behaves as x2 ultrawide displays.
3. You can't split the screen vertically as x2 1920x2160 displays, taking advantage of the max screen resolutions.
It only supports splitting with standard resolutions and add empty space to the top and bottom.
4. Multi-View is restricted to YouTube, Samsung TV Plus, Tizen's web browser, and a single input source. You can't multi-view with any of the other apps installed to the display. Why would this limitation even exist?
5. The stand is sooooo heavy, it's the majority of the package's weight.
6. The stand forces a 5" gap between the display and the desk, so if your ceilings are lower, you probably won't be able to ever rotate it unless you remove the entire display to the floor first.
Things I liked:
1. The Xbox app is handy and was easy to connect to the console over the network. But that's Microsoft's work, not Samsung's.
2. Smartthings notifications are great, and it's the reason I still buy these "Smart" displays.
3. The dial remote is cool, not as practical, but it looks nice.
I do wish I could remap features, like to use the dial for volume control.
4. Built in KVM switching.
Changing sources allows the keyboard and mouse to move to the other source with ease.

Great picture but extremely heavy for the size of the monitor. Plays games great.

This thing looks incredible! It can handle 4 imputs on the screen. Those inputs are 3 hdmi and 1 display port. I can't use the DP because my computer does not have a DP out. Unfortunately too, it is not easy and it's expensive to go from hdmi to display port so that input is useless to me.
I have it set up to show 3 screens from my computer using the 3 hdmi inputs and 1 screen streaming something. Pretty cool! The best is using 1 hdmi from my computer and playing Flight sim. Looks incredible.
Comes with streaming apps on it.
Get a good desk and call your friend to help set it up! This thing is big and heavy, 120lbs!

Love the size and flexibility. Spins easily between portrait and landscape. The curve angle keeps it easy on the eyes even after using it for several hours.

Bought the Ark hoping it would be a good monitor for Productivity - its size was overwhelming, but the image was not so clear. Thanks to BestBuy member benefits, I was able to return it for the LG 45" 5K2K which perfectly fit my needs. With that said, I could see the potential for a gaming monitor (which I understand is it's primary purpose).

Pros: The monitor is huge, has great color and is responsive, I am getting exactly what I wanted out of the unit itself.
Cons: If you have to replace anything on it the cost is astronomical. Mine was missing the stand base. If you have to replace the entire base it will cost you almost $1,000 for the entire thing. For just the bottom part it is a bit over $200 before taxes.
Finding another option to take its place has been a bit of a needle in a haystack search.
Operation and initial set up is a bit of a pain as well but once its going it is fine.

The screen quality is so flawless and the depth of the detail is breath taking. There is almost no other experience for gaming or watching tv. I would recommend this for any serious gamer.

Its a great option for ultra high gaming experience.
5 star for display quality, sound quality.
Some features I feel I would never require but ultimately its a great choice for gamers.

Great big monitor. Love the size. The features. The colors. Can use it to watch tv. The sound on it is also very impressive. I love everything about it

Definitely a two person job to set up. Very heavy. Not complaining. From start to finish, it took probably an hour to get it setup and start using . It wasn’t as difficult as it looked and works great so far. I have a dock connected with 3 inputs, so my screen is split into 4 monitors, the 4th being a TV station.

I am a day trader and this monitor is awesome as I can have multiple charts up at once. Anyone looking for a monitor for multiple tasks look no further. This is it. No regrets buying this one.

I've been using the Oddysey Ark Gen 2 for about a month and it's been amazing. The KVM solution built into the One Connect box makes it easy to switch between inputs and keep a clean desk. One caveat is that this monitor is huge and I find myself using it in the reduced screen mode for day to day stuff. However it's great to sit back and unwind and half one monitor that can do it all.
