Once the tv was mounted and was able to be powered up I was amazed at the picture. In the past with other brand names the picture never looked like the demo in the store . Samsung has really brought a great tv to the market at a decent price

Still working on getting the system set-up with our home theater, but we love the picture on the TV. Getting the TV set-up and online was very easy. It's big, and this makes for great movies and for watching sports - brings it all into the room.

I bought this TV during the black Friday sale. I have a 65" 8000 series that is about 3 years old. Samsung has made some nice improvements on the remote and smart TV software. The new remote will control the volume on my Denon receiver and I never could get the older version to do that. The ability to choose what icons are on your shortcut bar and arrange them is very convenient. We have gone to strictly streaming service even for live TV and the Samsung supports the Spectrum app eliminating he need for a ROKU device. Samsung picture quality is always great in their high end products. The 8000 series is the best value for your money in my opinion.

I absolutely love, love, love the picture on this TV. It was the first higher end TV that I bought, and the picture quality has definitely lived up to my expectations. I do find the menu/setting options to be a little basic, though. In addition, I've noticed some quirks with the TV, such as the on/off "chime" not always working when starting up or shutting off the TV. It also experiences several other random hickups occasionally, which make me a little nervous about how long this thing will last.

Excellent tv, it was difficult at first to justify the cost but once I brought the tv home and hung it, I cannot believe I went so long without a big screen. The tv receives a ton of compliments in regards to picture quality and overall design. If you are going back and forth deciding to go as big as 75”... do it and make it a Samsung.

I really like the Samsung 75" nu8000 model. The picture is beautiful. I also like the smart TV features. It has a really nice user interface. The streaming quality is great. I get very good 4k content from Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube. Only one negative. Two friends have OLED TVs. They rage over the dark blacks. They have poisoned me a little in that I see light bleeding through on my TV. That is especially noticeable when watching content that leaves black space on top and bottom of the screen. This TV is excellent! But if you like the OLED blacks, pay more for an OLED. I am happy with what I bought.

I wanted to purchase a new tv for the living room and had questions about the difference between the Vizio and Samsung. I had the chance to look at both brands side by side and there was no comparison, the Samsung was on another level. The tv looked incredible on the floor in Best Buy but even better when we brought it home. Every time I turn it on I feel like I bought it yesterday, still stoked. Picture quality is amazing, tv is incredibly easy to use, remote is simplified with only a handful of buttons. Several customizable features to fit your preferences...couldn’t be happier.

Purchased this TV open box at a good deal due to the 2019 models releasing. Had a issue with the remote pairing which was covered under warranty. Picture quality is great with a few picture adjustments.

I wanted to join the UHD/4K universe and to add a few extra inches without spending thousands of dollars. I was dead set on getting a 75" Sony after doing my homework on specs and then I went to Best Buy and saw it side by side with an OLED and my excitement went down a few pegs. While the Sony had all the specs I was looking for, it also appeared about two shades duller than an OLED. But then, one TV away, was a Samsung that was actually holding its own to the OLED awesomeness. That was my TV. The brightness and definition have not let me down since. Amazing picture that is almost surreal at times. This one also comes with lots of great features, including HD upscaling and darkness/contrast enhancement. I was leary of the built-in Bixby streaming software. I was half expecting to have to buy a Roku to get all of the apps and performance I was looking for, but no need! Bixby is great! My only complaint or con would be the occasional blurring. I would recommend that Samsung increase the processing power and tack on a couple extra hundred to the asking price to eliminate the minimal blurring that can still be found. It's not that bad in fairness, but when you are that close to perfection, you might as well just go for it.

Top notch product so far, only but will be the remote is not that friendly and sometimes using the voice can be annoying, besides that, the quality of the picture and the processor is great.

Color accuracy problems; Black is just ONE color

Rtings had this set as one of the better bargains in the mid price range and I bought the 75” on Black Friday prices. I realized though there are so many intangibles and some inaccuracies in Internet reviews. Another YouTube channel called HDTV describes the Q6FN set which rtings calls marginally better than this set as having its brightness turned up too high. I believe it’s the same with this set, the nu8000. Don’t get me wrong, this set is great in every aspect, but picture quality is just not there. I think with the OLED craze, it feels like everyone bases their whole reviews around blackness levels and that’s it. Well, Black is just ONE color and I don’t think you see black that that much except in menus. This set seems to have decent blacks, not great, and the remote and OS are fantastic. I was loving this set for its price and value WHEN I was setting up. Auto-Detected my PS4 pro and PS3, and though it didn’t detect my cable box, I manually configured and the remote now controls all. I did get free trial month Sling tv but this set had no Sling app. A bit meh on Best Buy part. So, everything was good, until, I turned the set on. And then the brightness problem. Most light portions of the picture turned to globs of light white - no detail. As I said, tv reviewers rate blackness but don’t seem to rate other intangibles so much. Why focus so much on black but not white? The whole set constantly looked like it had a white hazy lit fog in front of it. Well, why not turn the brightness down, you ask? Well, when you do that, it destroys colors and crushes blacks. The youtuber HDTV remarked how Samsung dials up the brightness above what content creators intended so that probably it looks better at the store. Second problem was, the famous Samsung green. The green color on Samsung sets are absolutely atrocious. When you tune the gamma from green to red, then the pic tends to turn way too red before the horrid green becomes acceptable. I’m talking every blond to brown hair/head to dark circles around people’s eyes all having a tinge of green. It’s extremely annoying. Short of it, I was thinking of changing to the competing sets one price level up and one size down, like the LG sk9000 with an IPS panel which has problems with blacks and contrast but probably has better colors and wider viewing angles. Notice how that set is universally derided by reviewers but loved by actual buyers? Intangibles, as I said. A tv isn’t just numbers. Is blooming that bad? I don’t know, but my gut tells me it’s only really relevant in dark menus, and I care about watching shows, not menus. As I titled this, afterall, Black is just ONE color. I don’t know why everyone is so fixated on this. Apple had great success for years with IPS on their phones vs Samsung OLEDs for years. And few people ever complained about the quality of Apple displays. Or the Sony 900F, which is a great set except with a horrible broken Android OS that users report consistently crashes. The TCL 6 series has the panel lottery issue as well as being a off brand. While the Vizio P series had too many reviews saying the set failed and Vizio service issues. In the end, after 2 days of fiddling with every picture setting on this nu8000, my eyes adjusted and the picture improved enough. I still see tinges of green hair and overly red skin tones, but I think every set must have their problems at this price range and even above. I was seriously thinking of exchanging it, but finally got the colors to an acceptable degree and I just didn’t and don’t want the hassle of exchanging for another set which might have its own problems and require exchanging again. In the end, I decided to keep it since the Black Friday and Best Buy price was good. But my warning is, don’t trust the hype about any brand, it’s just compromise on every set. Even the OLEDs have burn in risks. This set has problems with greens and comes from the factory many times brighter than it should be which would be ok except that brightness is linked to its color. I up’ed the backlight all the way, changed the gamma type and turned the brightness all the way down. And fiddled endlessly with the colors just so I didn’t want to puke. Rtings calibrations floating around the Internet were horrible and were only for how they TESTED the unit, not for best pic quality. I wouldn’t follow their advice on calibration. The set is barely acceptable colors now - Nothing great. $1600 for a meh pic. But I guess every TV set still has compromises. I don’t know why they ever got rid of plasmas. Sure it has burn in, but my 8 year old 1080 plasma looks better in many ways than this set. I believe even the q6f if what’s I saw in the store was accurate will have these problems. Go look at the picture carefully at the store on this set. I guarantee 90% of time, you will either see a hazy whiteness with correct skin tones or you will see no haze but green tinge on all skin tones and hair: either or. It was so aggravating to turn the green down to acceptable levels without screwing up the rest of the picture to unacceptable levels. Also, I have a feeling the main chip isn’t too powerful. I see problems in color gradients often, you know, like cubicle pixelation lines going from one shade to another on the sky. Also, motion blur is really meh to me. Infrequently but suddenly, I see frames and image retention until chip inside catches up. Also for PS4 pro users, you’ll have to manually set the video input to yuv420 on the console if you don’t want the set to constantly turn black on you every few minutes. Everything else on the set was great, and as for me, I saw an option to turn off advertisements when setting up too, and haven’t seen any. Another thing Rtings messed up. They reported you couldn’t turn the ads off. On my set, I could. Read and be careful when you first set up the set if you don’t want advertisements. There’s a menu that makes you FEEL like you must accept all above but instead you check only the boxes you want and don’t check the other boxes. This will keep the set from producing advertisements. If you can live with the Samsung green tinge and overly bright picture, this set isn’t horrible. But for me, it’s just acceptable and I felt let down once getting it home and turning it on. It’s just a meh set.

We purchased this tv on Cyber Monday. It arrived several days later and we quickly hung it upon our basement living room. The sheer size of this unit requires 2 people to wall mount it. Within minutes, we were connected to the home WiFi and were enjoying the incredible video (and surprisingly audio) quality of this Samsung. Slowly but surely, I have become a loyal Samsung customer. Such great quality and ease of use. The network connection is incredibly fast and we stream Netflix, Amazon video and YouTube at lightning speed. I’m very happy with this purchase and highly recommend.
