Purchased this for my 16 year old son for Christmas. He was totally excited to receive it and has enjoyed wearing and using it. A handy way to get notified of texts, etc. He also likes the volume control for music a lot. It is a little bulky but not bad and has been a fun, fairly useful accessory for him.

I love my Samsung gear! If my phone is in my purse there is no more digging around to find out who's calling or texting me. I l I've that you are able to pick up the call and talk right on the watch! The day planner is also excellent and I love the pedometer built right in

i got this for my boyfriend, he cant stop showing me and telling "look what i can do". i got the watch because he is a driver now i don't have to worry about him talking on the phone while driving, the watch mic/speakerphone is amazing, no static no break up, just perfect.

It is the best companion to my Galaxy Note 3. The camera, the video and the sound quality are fantastic. The battery life is great. It goes all day long, with no problems. I love it, so far.

This is an invention that has been long overdue. I like the fact that you can review, accept, and make calls from your watch. That being said, I wish using the menus was a little more user friendly--menu use is not bad, just expected less cumbersome way. I did not like the speaker volume--sometimes it was difficult to hear the other person. I also did not like the fact that there wasn't an option to choose your own ringtone. Even though I think this was such a cool gadget and could be another convenient use of bluetooth technology, those factors did not outweigh the negative factors I would give to it. As a result, I turned it in after a week.

Great watch!!! For people that don't always carry phones with them and miss lots of important calls like myself!!! Since I got the watch I haven't miss an important phone call... Great design and looks great with any outfit.. Only bad thing is the battery doesn't last very long but that's why there's a charger included.

Fantastic product. Used Every day. You can check your email or your text in a meeting without pulling your phone out of your pocket. You can recieve or make calls while driving hands free. All of the main functions that you use on your phone are now on your wrist.

The Gear is great for hands-free phone calls for uninterrupted working on the computer, or while driving. I work at the computer and can carry on a phone conversation while typing notes. No interruption. The clarity is great. It also allows hands-free calls while driving, with excellent clarity. Phone calls come through every time; however, notifications for emails do not always come through. If the email notifications worked 100% of the time, I would have rated this at least 4 stars. It's comfortable to wear, same as a watch. The only real complaint I have is with the inconsistency of the email notifications.

While this is a decent smartwatch for a first version. The watchband needs to be a bit longer given that there is added bulk to the watch itself. The watch is thicker than a normal watch. Nice feature set for a very small screen. I don't really like the camera on the watchband. I also do not like that you have to put the watch in a case to charge it. It seems that it would be easy to put a microusb port directly on the watch instead of putting the watch in a case and then plugging the case into a micro usb.

It helps me a lot in my work and when driving. I don't have to look in my bag for my phone. It's very easy to use . Notification is good giving me a glance of which messages and phone call urgent to response. The only thing I'm not happy about is the picture shot of the camera. It takes awhile to get a shot. It will be great if the camera is a fast snap shot with clear picture.

This was my second galaxy gear to exchange as the first one I had was defective. I really liked this watch because it was suitable for my needs and it did serve it's purpose. Unfortunately, there were some issues with the second one I received and it was not much better. The screen on the second one scratched too easily, would have to turn on/off constantly in order for connection to continue, the snap clasp felt too cheap and would always come undone often and gave out on me before 30 days. Luckily, I purchased their warranty so I was able to exchange it for the newer Gear 2.

I love this gadget! I can talk, text, take pictures, call people and stay in touch without ever having to pick up my phone! If you work with your hands (who doesn't??), it is very convenient. I also love the pedometer function, which helps challenge me to walk more each day.

I bought the Samsung Note 3 and this watch specifically because they talk to each other. I usually miss phone calls and messages because I have my phone on vibrate instead of ring. My husband has been complaining that I am purposely ignoring him - I am not one of those people with my cell phone in my pocket or in my hand playing games. I use my phone for a phone and sometimes I play games to pass time. When they came out with this watch I bought it. I can happily say that I do not miss phone calls (unless I'm really unavailable - meetings, etc)I get all my messages as they come in and my husband is happier. As a side benefit - the camera takes great pictures. My kids love posing for photos and then "swiping" through the gallery to see their pictures. I know there were complaints about the battery time, but charging overnight while I sleep doesn't seem to be a problem to me. I love my watch and am very happy with my purchase. .

Knowing this watch is pretty new on the market, the list of available apps to download is still small. I downloaded and installed three apps I really like. One allows me to customize the watch face. Another translates another language for me from photographing text. a And one allows me to send my GPS location to any of my contacts. It's nice to have appointment notifications pop up on my wrist. One thing I really like is not having to dig my phone out of my pocket to see who is calling. Of course I have unique ringing for certain important people in my life. Talking into the watch during a phone call can get uncomfortable for more than a minute. Usually any longer, and I end up switching to my phone, also for better clarity. I love being able to pull up the weather and week forecast. I also like being able to use the voice commands for calling and sending text. I miss fewer calls now, because the watch can ring and vibrate.

The Galaxy Gear Smart Watch keeps you informed at all times without having to access your smart phone. I love using it to make phone calls and the voice command capabilities make it a most useful tool in many situations. I like to use it to set the timer while I'm cooking on the grill. It's the must have next step for smart phone owners.

It is so easy to just tap and access to funtion. The blue tooth is easy to access by just speaking - also easy to hear the person you called even while driving on a noisy frwy. Many people have notice the watch and asked about it. After showing them what it can do they want to go right out and buy one. We call it our "Dick Tracy" watch.

Tech savvy person that needs newest toys. Bought on a whim and feel was good purchase. Can actually talk on it without pulling out my phone and read messages. Battery life could be better but than again don't sleep with it on. but am loving it

I was given this as a gift. It is cool and works really well, but the thing I wanted to use it for most--notifications will only work with the native app. So if you use Chomp SMS or Handcent SMS, you have to uninstall before the notification will work. Also, Gmail will only show as new mail, you can't open it from the Gear. Pedometer works great though. Watch functions are clear and neat. Battery life, not so great, maybe 2 days on a charge.

Wonder why there's so many returned Gear watches, could be not worth the $300 price tag. Possibly waiting for price to drop to a more reasonable level. Unique watch/camera/phone.
