Coming from a dedicated apple user, I must say switching to the Galaxy S10 was the best choice I have made. I came from an iPhone X, the features and battery life of the s10 has been something great, the cameras are top notch, the ergonomics of the phone fits perfectly in the hand, just overall an amazing change and a new experience. A worth it purchase.

I was a loyal Samsung user until the phones started to get too big(wide) to hold comfortably so I went with the Iphone SE which was small a very easy to hold. I hated the Apple operating system (so restrictive) and the apps offered were not as good as most available on android phones. I realized the new Galaxy S10 was so easy to hold I decided I would go back to Samsung. When I decided to actually buy I went to Best Buy on line and they were having a Black Friday sale in July. Saved $300 on the price vs every where else I looked. Was very happy over my luck. Absolutely love this phone. 1000x better than Iphones. Now have some of my older apps available that I loved that Iphones didn't offer. I will never go back to Apple again for a phone. I purchased a blue one and got a gel case (from Am) that so complements the phone's looks. It's beautiful LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. Also Love Best Buy for terrific sale price.

After years of using iPhones, I decided to try out the Samsung S10. I did not like the S10 at first but after a week or so, I realized it's a pretty good phone with many more functions compared to my old iPhone. It also comes with much more internal memory at a lower price. The biggest noticeable difference for me has been the operating systems and the camera. IOS generally makes it easier to complete most functions but Android is fast and has more user options for nearly every setting. The camera is a significant upgrade from the iPhone 8 and I think a little better than the iPhone 11. The screen is the exact same size as the iPhone 11. The fingerprint ID is not as precise as the older iPhones but you eventually figure out the S10's little quirks. Lastly, the battery seems to last longer than most iPhones. Even though there are newer models out there, this is a very capable device.

Love the phone. Screen Protector/Case challenging

My original Galaxy phone was an S-4. Next one was an S-7. Now upgraded to the S-10. This is easily the best phone I have ever owned, and probably one of the best phones available right now. With the 8gb of memory and new processor, this phone is amazingly fast. I upgraded from my old phone because of battery issues. This phone lasts all day with at least 30% of the battery left. The only negatives have been trying to find a screen protector and a case. I spent $40 on the Whitestone Dome. It's quite the process to put the screen protector on. I got it wrong the first time and had to remove it and clean it (a real pain). With the screen protector in place, the ultrasonic fingerprint ready barely works, even with screen sensitivity turned up. But the Whitestone is the only protector that I could find that covered the sides and supposedly allowed the fingerprint sensor to work. I'm not sure if the Zagg would have been better (which just covers the flat part of the screen). The Whitestone Dome also conflicts with some cases, which try to push the screen protector off. As for cases, I bought the Beetle Pro for $21, which is a really solid case and is everything that it is advertised to be. It is really solid, and probably as good as an OtterBox Defender. Unfortunately, it is bigger than any case I have ever used and barely fits in my back pocket. Plus, it keeps popping the corner of the screen protector off. I don't think the Whitestone and the Beetle Pro can be used together. The only other issue that I am dealing with is in regards to the powersharing. I have an old Gear S2 watch, which is old enough to be experiencing shortened battery life. I was looking forward to using the S-10 to recharge the watch in a pinch, but it isn't working right. The S-10 will charge the Gear S2 for about 15 seconds, then the charging stops. The phone is still trying to charge and sends a message that there isn't anything to charge, so I think the issue is with the watch. Haven't had time to test the powershare with another device to confirm this. I purchased the phone on Black Friday weekend for $420, which was an incredible deal. I wouldn't pay the list of $999 for any phone, no matter how good. But at the price I got it for, I am very please with the phone and with Best Buy.

State of the Art with One Exception

I upgraded from a Galaxy S8 to the S10. My phone actually has 512GB of storage but aside from that there's no difference between it and the 128GB model. Despite the fact that S10 is exactly the same physical size as the S8, its screen is 3/10" larger. The S10 has more processing power, double the internal memory and a bigger battery than the S8. The S10's camera is superior with separate normal, wide and telephoto lenses. The camera is capable of very good still pictures and videos. The S10 is more than just a minor upgrade from the S8. Now for the exception. Samsung has chosen to include both face recognition and a fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone. The face recognition is bit erratic. The fingerprint sensor, probably most users choice is located in the bottom part of the screen. Right now there are no tempered glass screen protectors that work with the sensor. Zagg's Ultra Clear plastic protector does work but it has a tacky feel that not suit you. Zagg's new Glass Fusion protector which seems to be plastic with a smooth glass feel does work with the sensor but can still be hit or miss at times. Despite this it may be the best choice right now and, as with all things technical, you mileage may vary. Aside from this the new S10 is an excellent phone.

Great battery life increase. The camera quality is amazing. The only thing I am not a huge fan of it the built in screen protector. Mine already has scratches, my daughter had bubbles in hers and had a hole in it after a few weeks so she took it off. Otherwise, much faster then the previous galaxy s7 that we upgraded from.

I don't changer phone very often. So from my Galaxy 8 this model Galaxy 10 is a really good upgrade. Camera is WAY better. The screen looks more crisp, vivid, and brighter. Phone is very fast, memory is through roof. Got a good deal at Black Friday with $450.00 off, so i cant complain ( roughly 50% off). Word of advise. If you are buying Phone protection plan, consider this. You will be paying around $290-$300 for 2 years of coverage. In any case if ANYTHING goes wrong with your phone, you have to pay $200 or so deductible to replace it. So total of $500 worth for the 2 years of this phone protection. So the cost of the phone is DOUBLED! Instead of replacing the damaged phone just buy a NEW one! As long as you take care of your phone, you can stretch your dollar... just my 2 cents

I upgraded from the Samsung S7 to the S10 on the Verizon Wireless network. The S10 is much faster than the S7 and has an incredibly long battery life, especially for a power user like me. In addition, the S10 charges to full capacity much faster. The screen is edge-to-edge with no bezel, allowing for a larger screen without a corresponding increase in phone size. All four sides have a rounded edge that meets the metal casing of the phone. The front camera is a black dot in the upper right corner at the extreme right of the notifications bar. Using Samsung Smart Switch, all my apps, settings, saved passwords, text messages, saved files, pictures (still organized in their folders), etc. transferred over seamlessly. Can't think of anything that did not transfer over. Even the desktop icons and app icons came over with the exact layout I had on my S7. The buttons for 'Menu of Open Apps' in the lower left corner, 'Return to Home Screen' in the lower middle and 'Go Back' in the lower right corner were on the bezel of the S7, with the 'Return to Home Screen' being a 'hard' tactile button requiring some effort to push and the others being 'soft' buttons. On the S10, because the screen covers the entire surface of the phone, those buttons are all 'soft' buttons at the bottom of the screen with the same layout. (You can adjust the settings to hide them and bring them back with an upward swipe at the bottom of the screen). Having the 'Return to Home Screen' as a 'soft' button is so much easier than the 'hard' button on the S7. It now requires an effortless tap to engage rather than a push down on a stiff tactile button. A few minor annoyances: Because the screen is edge-to-edge with no bezel, it is all to easy to accidentally engage a button when handling the phone. I am using the same brand 'Ballistic' soft protective case on the S10 as I did on the S7. On the S7, the lip of the case is higher than the screen, providing more screen protection if the phone is dropped face down. On the S10, because of the rounded edges, the lip of the case is lower than the surface of the screen in order to avoid having the case cover some of the screen. This results in the S10 being more susceptible to screen damage if it falls face down. I haven't used the camera yet, so I cannot comment on the upgraded lenses. Without hesitation, I would recommend the S10 to anyone looking for a high end phone with robust features without all the restrictions and idiosyncrasies of the iPhone 10.

I purchased the S10 over the holidays after waiting to see if the Pixel 4 was worth the money. I was previously on a Pixel 2 and wanted to maintain staying on the pure Android experience. Once I determined that this wasn't really an option I started to shop for other devices and the S10 became my choice. Pros: * Screen is great. Nice size and the hole-punch doesn't bother me. * Overall size is nice. I didn't want a big phone and this form factor was a good size coming from the Pixel 2. More screen, less forehead and chin. * Audio is pretty good. Top has a forward facing speaker which doubles as the ear-piece. Bottom speaker fires out the bottom, but still sounds good in a forward facing setting. * Battery Life - rock solid. Love the fast charging. This is also my first phone with wireless charging, which I've come to appreciate. Cons: * Poor button placement. The power button is too high. Annoying even for one-hand use. Compound that with the volume rockers on the opposite, again too high. I often find myself taking screenshots of the home screen because I'm pushing both left and right sides simultaneously. Super annoying. * Bixby button. Can't remap it completely. I prefer Google Assistant, but I can at least remap a short press to another app. You can't dump Bixby all together, despite best efforts. * With the curved display I often get "accidental touch" screens which require me to swipe a lock out of a zone to proceed. Honestly...it happens more often than not and gets old really quick. * Swiping up to go into apps and then also (with new OneUI V2) to see the open apps, I can't ever get this to work right. Some of that is Android 10, some of it is Samsung's UI overlay. Just makes it harder to use the phone than it should. * Slippery phone. Despite wanting to keep this thing out of a case, good luck. Glass back makes it harder to hold Get a case for grip alone. * No real tempered glass options for a screen protector. The curved glass makes it really limiting to get a screen protector. There are plastic versions, but if you want a true tempered glass...good luck. Overall. Good build. Good materials. It is a phone that works. Call quality is good. Cameras are good. I feel I got the value for the sale version when I bought it. Not sure I'd have felt the same if I spent $900.

So to preface, I don't know a whole lot about phones in general. I also tend to favor android phones. So that being said, I am really enjoying this phone. It has a good balance of battery life and functionality. It has a headphone Jack as well as a slot for expanding the memory which are big pluses for me. The triple cameras also take good quality pictures. Maybe not the absolute best pictures out there, but really good nonetheless. The final thing that I like about this phone is the speed. It's really easy to switch between apps and multitask. If you're a person who doesn't really need an iPhone. This is an excellent choice.

S10 was an upgrade from an S7. Battery life seems about the same as the S7. However, the phone is MUCH faster with apps and the internet. Sound clarity is excellent. There is a learning curve from an older phone - the first two days were somewhat frustrating, but all good after that. Still learning all the ins and outs of a new phone and updated system, but the speed is terrific and makes up for any smaller concerns

Upgraded to the galaxy s10 from a galaxy s7 so, personally, there are a lot of noticeable improvements: fantastic camera, great battery life, great performance. What's also fantastic is how much the phones have been discounted since launching a few months ago. This is a benefit for anyone looking to hold onto a phone as long as possible opposed to someone that wants to maintain trade in value. Cons: The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is hit and miss. Its ability to recognize fingerprints seems to vary throughout the day. My guess is that its sensitive to changes in oil on the skin. If your fingers are dry from washing or more oily than the original scan, it might not recognize them as easily. Overall, I still think the phone is a great purchase given it's price.

This phone has a really nice screen that covers almost the entire front of the phone and curves around the side edges. It is really fast and can handle any app I've thrown at it so far. It also has 3 cameras used for various types of pics from wide to telephoto. Comes standard with 128GB drive and 8 GB of memory. You can also add up to 512 GB SD card for additional space. This is a really nice phone.

It was a big step up - went from an S6 to an S10. Wasn't really anything horribly wrong with the S6 but battery life was beginning to be a pain and so was constantly having to remove pictures and music from the phone to make room for newer ones. So, battery life is WAY better and the speed of the S10 is so much better than the S6 it is hard to imagine how I was able to still use it. I am not a constant user of the phone throughout the day but do have spurts of heavy use. With my usage I do not have to charge the phone every day. I can easily start a day with a full charge and and finish up with 75-80% left. I can wait to the next day to charge it for just a short time and get back to 100%. The old S6 was a 32GB phone. The S10 is 128 plus another 128 memory card. No more keeping track of pictures and music to make sure I always have room for new ones. With the 256GB of space available I don't think I will ever have a problem. Moving data and apps from the old phone to the new was mostly painless. It took a few tries to get messages to be transferred but that was finally accomplished including all attachments to messages. Contacts was another matter. I was never able to get the contacts to transfer using the Smart Switch app. I finally found with the Contacts app the ability to expert all the info to a file. I then manually transferred that file to the S10 and Imported the data. So all was good with the transferring of data. Still working on setting up notifications. There is no LED that stays lit when a notification has been received so I need to find a way to alert me when I don't hear or see the original notification that I have received a call, msg, etc. Overall? I am perfectly satidfied with this phone and think anyone else will be happy with it too.
