I own an iPad 2, an iPad Mini, Amazon Kindle HD (1st generation), and an Amazon Kindle HDX. I love tablets. After the 8.0 iOS upgrade my Apple devices slowed down significantly. To be more specific, they slowed in regards to anything that requires using the internet. For a month I stuck to browsing on my phone until I decided enough was enough and that I needed a new tablet with fast internet capabilities. I wasn't looking to sacrifice any of the quality I was used to having with my old Apple tablets before the "update" - and I was no longer interested in getting another Apple tablet (for obvious reasons) - so I decided to wait for the market to produce a new device that did appeal to me. Positive reviews and the appealing weight and size of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 led me to see the tablet for myself in-store. The definition and colors that come off the screen would make anyone speechless. I enjoy watching movies/shows when I commute to and from work (as well as read, of course) and this is the perfect device to carry around anywhere and everywhere. It's light, easy to carry in my not-too-small hands (I'm 5'1"), and the definition of its screen is like no other. There are people who complain that the colors are exaggerated, etc. but if I were to describe it, I'd say the colors are more alive, robust even, as oppose to being mute. Everyone's style and taste are different but if you're looking for a quality tablet (and this one is amazingly low in price) do yourself a favor and check this one out personally in-store.

I find the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 16gb to be the all around best tablet; excellent screen resolution, fast processor, and expandable memory (I installed a 64gb micro card). At first I had reservations, comparing the Galaxy Tab S to the Apple iPad Air and Mini, but having owned both of these Apple models I can say that I much prefer the Samsung Galaxy Tab S. The reason my wife bought me the Samsung Galaxy Tab S as a Christmas present was for my Kindle books. Well, once I figured out to install the regular Android Kindle App, rather than the trimmed-down Samsung Galaxy Kindle App, I was golden. The regular, more full-featured Android Kindle App offers more functionality and made my Samsung Galaxy Tab S an absolute pleasure to read with. So, I recommend this tablet for anyone interested in expandable memory, a great resolution screen, and fast performance. By the way, my wife got me the Titanium Bronze 16gb unit and a dark brown case. Also, please consider spending a little more and have Geek Squad install a good screen protector - it's worth the investment to protect your wonderful new Samsung Galaxy Tab S.

I researched the Galaxy Tab & the IPAD MIni. I have an IPAD 2 :& like it very much. I like it very much, but it is bulky for traveling. I also have a Samsung Galaxy 4 phone, which I also like very much. The IPAD Mini was fine, but you cannot increase the memory, which I could do on the Samsung. Great product. Syncs with my phone through Samsung, better picture & camera & stereo speakers. I am very happy. Much more for about the same price. The Samsung case is also very nice.

I find the tablet to be very easy to use. Not being technically knowledgeable, this is a plus for me along with the convenience of being able to take it everywhere I go. I also love the fact that I can access everything and it's fun to use and discover new things.

The Samsung Galaxy S is one for others to emulate. It has the best image quality in the tablet market, excellent apps, and very fast.

My two month old Google tab S 8.4 tablet replaced a first generation Nexus 7 It is fast, has a great screen resolution, decent battery life (depending on what it is used for). I consider it my portable secretary and portfolio. As an artist I need to show my paintings/murals/portraits to potential clients and this tablet works great for that. I also like the book size versus the 10 inch ones. I bought a FINTIE cover for it which works great and doesn't cost as much as the Google one. Great tablet, highly recommendable.

Love the size, speed and screen resolution! This is my 2nd Samsung tablet I also own a 10.1 Tab 2 which still works great. I wanted one that was newer and smaller for ease of travel. This works great for reading ebooks, games, web search, emails etc. Really love to watch You Tube and mirror on my Samsung Smart TV fantastic! Also love the Free Samsung classes at Best Buy! Highly recommend.

I love this tablet! It is my 1st experience with an Android operating system, so there Is a define learning curve, but I am figuring it out. I love the picture quality which is one of the reasons I purchased this model. I debated back and forth over which size to get. I have bad eyesight and rheumatoid arthritis which has made my hands very weak. The salesman told me the 8.4 inch was easier to handle, and I could always increase the letter size to see better. I bought the 8.4 inch because of this. For the most part, what the salesman told me is true. However, on several websites, the letters are extremely tiny, and I haven't been able to figure out how to increase the letter size when enlarging the touch screen doesn't work. I was going to buy a Kindle to read ebooks on, but decided I may as well buy a tablet for more versatility. I chose this Samsung because I could then read more than just amazon ebooks. I'm glad I bought this one. I'm typing on it right now, which is slow without a real keyboard, and the auto correct is absolutely driving me nuts, but I can deal with that. Overall I really love my Samsung Galaxy Tab S, and I'm sure I'll love it even more as I learn more and can do more with it.

I have had 6 Android tablets, and my family also has a couple of iPads, but this is far and away the best tablet experience I've ever had. The look and feel of the Tab S is excellent, and the screen really has no competitor. There is some preloaded bloatware that I could live without, but the Hancom Office suite is great! The speakers are "loud enough" and the audio quality is still good at max volume. I haven't played games on it, so I can't speak to its gaming prowess. The size is fine for holding in one hand, and I anticipate reading MANY ebooks on this device. I did change the stock TouchWiz launcher for one off Google Play. There was a small amount of lag accessing the Magazine homepage, but that disappeared with the new launcher. I plan to keep this tablet for a very long time!

I'm not kind of person who would get all excited about tech details, processor speeds etc. This tab does everything I want it to do with ease, that is, surfing the web, streaming music and video, skyping, taking occasional pics and short vid clips. It's small and light enough to handle but big enough to have non-phone-like visual experience Yes, you could do all these with less money but I bought this because of the display, oh my oh my it is beautiful to look.

Have learned many features of the tablet. And will have fun learning more. It's loaded! Picture quality is excellent. Battery life is super good. I charge it almost every night when I've used it, but that certainly isn't necessary. I'm just compulsive.The size makes it convenient to carry around in purse or bag. Because it is very slim, I purchased a cover which makes it more comfortable to hold and fingers are then not on the screen.

It is a tablet, not much more to add, the screen is nice and price was ok. Samsung still costing more on name and needs to get rid of the bloatware.

Samsung continues year after year to give us the advanced electronic gear that we desire. Tablets, phones, TV's and appliances. We purchased this tablet as a direct competitor to our iPad. The display; in our opinion, is far superior. The onboard camera offers more functionality than the iPad camera. Love the fact that you can see, move, edit and manipulate files just like a PC. Unlike Apple, in which they treat files as proprietary objects. Connects easily via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to transfer those "unseen Apple" files. Smart Switch logs into your iCloud account to load your contacts, photos, video, documents, calendar etc, Music transfers - no problem, even plays M4a's. Not enough space here to list all the great attributes of this tablet. Thanks Samsung.

Had a 3rd gen iPad 16gb and struggled with the lack of storage, or more specifically, expandable storage. Swore I'd never fall for that again. The Tab S is fast, has a great screen, and is every bit as easy to use as the iDevices. It's also much thinner, lighter, and more portable. First thing I did was throw a 64gb memory card in it. Loaded a bunch of music and a movie and have tons of room to spare. Plays everything I have perfectly. I like to have some of my FLAC files to listen to , do some web surfing, the occasional youtube video, you know, typical usage. Haven't tried the cameras yet so I can't speak to those. This is my first android device and first experience with Google Play. Easy to use but the apps are clearly not screened nearly as well or as thoroughly as Apple's. Lot of good apps but lots of junk too. Apps included with the Tab S are fine; nothing special but functional. It covers all the basic needs. But the tablet itself? Love it and highly recommend it.

I went into Best Buy with every intention of buying an iPad. I was looking at the Galaxy Tab just as a comparison - I honestly thought it would be a lesser quality product to the iPad and wanted that reassurance. I was so wrong! An awesome sales associate saw me browsing and came over and showed me her personal galaxy tab and how she used it. She clearly loved it and was super familiar with the product from her regular use and showed me more than a few reasons why I HAD to have this over an iPad. SideSync alone was an awesome reason to get this. Weight, resolution, battery life, the ability to customize... the list goes on and on for why this product surpasses the iPad. I am THRILLED with my purchase and will not be considering an iPad again. Go Samsung - yet again!!!

Absolutely love my new Samsung Galaxy Tab S. The 8.4 is the perfect size. The resolution on the screen is absolutely amazing. This is my first non-apple product, and I'm questioning why I've waiting this long to switch over. The Android operating system is awesome- so much customization and not restrictive like an Apple product. Highly recommend this as a first time tablet user (like me!)

It took me some time to actually purchase it because it seemed a little expensive but as they say, you get what you pay for. The display is outstanding and it's very fast. Battery life seems quite good. The only thing that seems quirky is the micro sd needed to be pushed a little a couple of times to seat it correctly.

I had been planning for several months to get a tablet so when I received a note for Christmas offering me one, I knew it was time. I went to the best buy store to learn about what was out there and honestly to learn what I personally really wanted to have in a tablet. I was greeted by a very helpful and friendly sales associate and Samsung representative. We conversed about what was out there and focused in on the tab s tablets. I learned as we talked that this tablet had all the things I wanted and could be personalized to not include those that I did not want. in the end I bought the tab s 8.4 at a great sale price, just as low as any online price. I love my tablet and actually am writing this review using it. Great product. It's not perfect and you will find minor peeves but just stop knit picking and enjoy the myriad of positives about it.

Only better tablet is the bigger brother with the 10" display. Outstanding picture, great pictures and video, audio playback good, good battery life. Overall an outstanding little tablet. Fast, light and versatile, 1000% better than iPads.
