Fairly decent, and really good for the price. No issues yet &! It is 5 weeks old.

I needed a drive with lots of room for images, backups etc. I have always trusted Seagate drives. I'm very happy with my choice. Very quick and responsive. Works flawlessly.

easy to setup and great space storage which can be read by both mac and pc.

Does everything I expected it to. The backup software could be a bit more user friendly and have more options (like let you backup a network drive) but overall pretty awesome for the price.

A fast reliable harddrive. Easy to use, easy to set up as a backup drive and overall no complaints. It's not portable as its big and corded but as a stationary backup drive it's great. It runs a bit warm but so far that's not a problem.

Use for nightly backups. Plenty or Room for backups. Quiet. Good deal. Also good to keep a backup of all the (unedited) photos I take.

Needed a reliable external hard drive to backup both the laptop and desktop computers. This Seagate unit is just right for the job, and it was an easy task to get it accomplished.

We needed something to store our music, pictures, and movies on so it did not bog down our computer. This external hard drive is 4TB and will give us all the room we need.

I take a lot of pictures for work. This hard drive allows me to keep all my photos on a drive that is so small it fits in my laptop bag. Easy to use, great little drive!!

So far no issues. I've only owned this device for about a month, but it seems to be keeping up with my 100GB per week workflow as a photographer. I am currently using it as overflow external storage for my Mac Mini. I did have to partition the drive to work with my Mac when I first unpacked it, but other than that it has worked great. I am NOT using any of the factory included software to back up as I repartitioned it from the gate. They do make a version for Mac, but I wanted the black case and use Time Machine anyway, so the Seagate software didn't appeal to me anyway.

The only thing I would say negative is that sometimes all my file names become lower case even when I saved them as uppercase. It is intermittent however. Overall great product and have had it for a month and not had any issues with it

This product is easy to use, even for someone who is technologically challenged. Offers a lot of storage and good value for the money.

Overall, it is the capacity that I needed and with another backup program, it works great. I would have saved the $10 and got the one without the backup software if I knew it didn't do network drives.

I got this drive to replace an older external drive that was somewhat noisy after years of use. I wanted something faster and quieter and this drive has been perfect. The time it takes loading samples for music recording is noticeable. If I had to guess I'd say the time has been cut in half or better. The drive is very quiet also which suits my needs perfectly. I don't have any 3.0 usb ports on my computer so I can't speak to that but I would guess the drive is even faster on 3.0 ports. So far I'm very happy with this drive.

First I had to connect the hdd to my laptop and create the directories I wanted. I then connected this ext hdd to my Linksys WRT 1900-AC usb 3.0 port. I was able to set up the Linksys with the security option where I need to enter a username and password. I can now see the shares I set up on the ext hdd from my kindle, laptops, TV, and etc. It does have a fan that is on all the time and it is noticeable. It is about as loud as when the central air conditioning air flows out of the vents in the room.

I needed a bigger external hard drive and this was great for the money. I have it plugged into my router and use it with my PC and MAC .

I have nothing but good things to say about this drive. I purchased it because of a review I read on the best external usb3 hd to use for Xbox One. This drive is very quiet and has a nice weight to it, so you will not have to worry about it sliding around. My Xbox One recognized it immediately and it has been working great since. I also bought the 5TB for my desktop computer and use it to backup my years of digital photos, videos amd music files. It comes formatted as NTFS file system.

External HD...Seagate. WD...two best. I chose Seagate because I liked it's functionality and setup. Now I have 4...2 Seagate and 2 WD. Seagate is very easy to use and will do exactly what you need it to do!
