This is the third 2TB Seagate Backup Plus Slim I have purchased this year. I use them to organize my personal videos, to backup my computers and to store all my work and files. I find that using a backup drive for storage and accessing them via shortcuts on my desktop spares me a lot of headaches from crashes and no loss of data at all. This 2TB drive is the perfect size to keep everything I need safely at my fingertips. They are also great for storing personal videos for streaming. I plan to buy 2 more.

Slim, portable and reliable. Have owned this brand many times for many purposes and all of them are still in service.

Seagate - Backup Plus 2tb External Usb 3.0/2.0 Portable Hard Drive is amazing DEFINITELY worth the investment! its exactly what it is said to do easily taking your media collection and documents with you on the go and portable hard drive that features a 2TB capacity for ample file storage. Really amazing! I think the fact that it is portable is the first catch for me. Its size makes it easy for me to store anywhere, which is something you can't do with all hard drives.

Very easy soon as pluged it in it was readdy for file transmition this was my first mobile i just transfer 1.5 terrabites in less then an hr from. A old pc to a new much ugraded faster pc . I would buy it againg if it was on sale . Price was well worth it , shipping fast , bought a case for it to put it away . Now i have all music videos amd music where ever i go i can plug in and play also playable in my tv using the tv usb to access hardrive media with out a problem

I wavered between the WD and Seagate brands and decided to go with Seagate! Being a portable unit, it is a very small unit which can be easily transported! It's very simple to use, just plug in and start transferring data easily! The 2TB unit has ample space for almost any data you want to store! This was exactly what I was looking for, something simple like using a flash drive! Best Buy had a great price on sale which included free delivery and received in just a few days!

I purchase this as I wanted to get my music and movies off my computer hard drive and watch them on my regular TV and from eating up all my storage space. I purchase this for less than $70.00 on sale. I cannot tell you how happy I am and how well this drive works. I am so glad that I got the 2 TB version as I still have tons and tons of space left for other things and it is great to be able to take anywhere I go on vacation if I want. Highly recommended.

The only issue I have is that I don't know how to backup from the backup Seagate drive itself. I probably am trying to get it to do something it can't. So I went to the Windows Control Manager, and backed up what I wanted to save from there. It worked like a miracle, and now It is very easy to access anything I have saved to Seagate. Small and compact, just plug it in to a USB port on your computer.

The Seagate Backup Plus has plenty of storage with 2TB and comes with it's own very easy to use Dashboard software for backing up individual files or your whole computer, you decide. It also has a continuous backup feature that is great because you never have to remember to backup as it does it for you automatically. Great product and less expensive than it's competitors.

I can back up all my pictures videos onto this back up drive when I get the new iPhones i get the 128gb and I have had 3 128 gb phones over the years from upgrading so I put so much gigs on this approx 400gb and it didn't even use much of my back up on this drive. They make this in a 1tb a 2tb which I have both they also make a 3 4 and 5. This is a must have product and us worth every penny trust me. 5 stars overall satisfaction I loveeee it!

If you need to back up your documents, pictures, movies, music etc. this is the product to have. I've purchased other backup products over the years and been totally unsatisfied. I have two Seagate's and highly recommend them for performance and reliability. When I need my information that I've backed up, it's actually there. It is a very easy product to use.

It stores a lot, is very fast to receive the transfer of files and so far so good....good product for the money! I am a photographer with boocoos of picture files that take up all my laptop macbook space and so I transfered them all onto this back up drive and it held all of it with 3/4 of the space left for more!....love it and it's a nice size and nice looking, to carry in my handbag or briefcase or camera bag.....recommend.

Seagate has always made high quality and reliable products. This is another one to add to that growing list. I have been able to put several computer backups on this and there is plenty of room for more. It is small which means you are able to store it anywhere. The design is sleek and is very practical. I have had this product for a few months and have been thoroughly been pleased by the results.

I purchased this because I've been running out of space on my previous external and my computer was beginning to run out of space. Right out of the box, I plugged this drive into my computer (I use a Linux operating system) and it was recognized right away. I even played a movie directly off the drive and it seemed to run better than if I'd run it off the computer's internal drive. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

One of my primary drives got a corrupt MFT.. presumably taking it out of one external bay and putting it in another. I was able to recover all the contents but needed a new drive to copy it onto.... Ran to BestBuy to find a fast drive to copy onto.. since they didn't have WD Black series drives or any great internal drives like this, I went the portable/external route and purchased this Seagate. The price was decent, and the "Geek Squad" guy seemed to think it was SSD. The drive worked perfectly (albeit USB 2 speeds since that box didn't have a USB3 port), but I was disappointed to realize it had a standard 5400 RPM drive inside instead of SSD.

I bought this in order to upgrade my hard drive on my PS4. It was a much better method than just buying the hard drive on its own. It cost less than just the standard laptop 2tb hdd and it comes with a casing! Opening it to remove the HDD and replace it with the old one was easy. My PS4 now has 2tb, works great and I have a spare 500 gb external Hard drive to boot. Much better idea than having to buy a hdd solo.

Very thin and compact, offers all of the backup storage that I need! Good value for the price.

It is a big storage for a cheaper price. Easy to use and fast. It works great for my surface pro 3.

Bought the Seagate Backup Plus Slim 2TB for my son who is heading to college so he could download all of his things off our home computer. Easy to use and he loves it. He has actually downloaded what is on the external hard drive to his new computer but is taking the external with him so he can bring files and such home over the holidays. Great product at a great price.

Son needed to expand his storage on Xbox One in order to play new games. I went on line to Best Buy searched and found what I would meet the need and the reviews helped especially from users of Xbox One. Went to our BB and it was even on sale. Very easy hook up process and son is happy since he can now play games. If you need more storage this will definitely do the job.
