Currently using this as a second backup for the server in a small office setting. I do have offsite backup, but I felt it was necessary to have a second backup just in case. It gets the job done. No complaints here.

I picked this up in hopes that it would work for my xbox one. It works great and i like only having to plug it into a usb rather than usb and the wall. Would reccommend to anyone looking for some extra storage.

Seagate - Backup Plus for Mac 4TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Portable Hard Drive - Silver. Great piece of hardware. Backs up all my files on my MacBook Pro in a timely and orderly fashion. I conducted a close examination of the backed up files and found they are complete. When I go on a trip, my laptop goes with me and the Seagate drive goes in the safe at home. I researched this thoroughly before buying and found each brand, including this one, has its detractors. But, I'm very happy with my Seagate drive..

I used this hard-drive to replace another, that did not come configured for use with the iMac standalone. I am delighted with its functionality, and would recommend this to another person enthusiastically.

I own a bunch of these drives for my business. They are very reliable. I would recommend the other, more-expensive Seagate 4TB FAST drive if you want speed. I use these drives to back up the FAST drives.

The Seagate Backup Plus for Mac offered more memory for the dollar; something that is unusual when buying a dedicated Mas portable drive. Size is convenient, easy to take with me. Simple to use.

I was needing to store a lot of pictures and video, and the space on my present computer was getting tight. This as exactly what I needed to sufficient store my media and also get me further storage.

It's a hard drive. It hold 4TB. My old one only held 2TB, and it was getting full. Now, I have plenty of space, with the speed boost of USB 3.0. And, of course, an extra 2TB of space. Let's hear it for true Plug and Play! I DID recommend this to a friend.... she bought one, too.

I always use this brand ever since for external hard drive for all my computer stuff, very easy to use for my backups data for my MacBook Pro, Thanks.

And lets be serious, especially with the Mac, over time, all these drives fail. I purchased this as a replacement. By the way, the failed drive works to retrieve files, but I can no longer delete files via time machine. So there you go. Had this a month and it works seamlessly with Time Machine.

This was recommended by the staff because it was easy to use. I have a Mac and it was very simple. Didn't have to be "tech-y" to use!

Seagate is a good backup. I have yet to have any problems with it. I recommend this to anyone backing up a lot of images. Very good portable drive without needing it to be plugged in.

Small compact drive easy to carry and holds loads of information, photos, videos... Makes your data/files readily accessible (USB) without having to carry around a power cord.

I bought the Mac drive because it was all they had in store in the 4TB at the time. Really easy to reformat to work with PC. Great drive. Fast, huge, just works great.

Unfortunately I didn't hook this up right away. Had a total computer failure and lost everything. So, when I picked up the computer after a new hard drive was installed I had the Geek squad guy connect the back-up. It was so easy. Too late for me. But now I am prepared.

For the price I spent on this backup disk, its the best value for the money. The price per Terabyte close to the lowest big the value I get from the disk is the high.

The store salesman recommended this to me and I have been very happy with it. Setup was a breeze. It came with all the cables. I use it to back up photos.

Drive is fast, form factor is portable and light. Have had no problems or issues. Lots of space. Backup can be encrypted if desired. Very good value.

I replaced an old seagate that required external power with this model. It's a small drive with a lot of space and doesn't require external power.
