These are great. Very comfortable. Top-notch noise cancelling that you can turn on/off with a quick switch. The bass is great. There's an option for have a preset "equalizer" the speakers apply that highlights speech/vocals and it's really good. It connects very quickly and to multiple devices at the same time. The charge holds for long enough that I've not noticed the need to charge yet. The touch controls on the ear cup are so intuitive. The on/off with the turn of the earpiece is taking some getting used to, but not in a bad way.

Recently I have to attend the long conference call more often so the in-ear headphones that I have been using didn't work well for me anymore since they aren't that comfortable after long call. The over-ear ones make more sense since I don't want to lose the sound quality so the cheap pairs wouldn't cut for me. After trying out multiple headphones, I have finally settled with the PXC 550. Control is very intuitive and sound quality is superb. Though they might be a little expensive but if you are serious about quality, this headphones are worth it.

Very comfortable headphones! I waited for awhile to buy these because they are spendy BUT so worth it. Bluetooth connectivity is excellent I can connect to my iPad and switch to my desktop with ease and not have to reconnect/disconnect. Sound quality is amazing! Well balanced, I don't like too much bass or too much treble. Very light and don't feel tight on the head, and doesn't feel like they will fall off. Noise cancelling works great! Highly recommend!

**With an amp. 490ohms is a ton of power compared to what traditional headphones use (30-50ohms). Using an inexpensive amp with these headphones sound absolutely great! I'm listening to music on Tidal and these guys just shine in quality. When they're wireless, they still sound good, but noticeably different without an amp. The active noise canceling is awesome! Everything around you is just shut out once your music is on. A great way to escape reality for a little. Overall, I love them!

pros: Sound quality is where this really stands out! noise cancelling feature works great, but there are probably better products out there for this specific feature battery life is wonderful case is a bonus Cons: like most over ear headphone they can get hot around the ears the app is completely useless!!! USELESS side note: the on/off and touch features take a little getting used to, but are innovative

These headphones are unlike any others- the best headphones I've ever owned. I have larger ears so after a while headphones can be uncomfortable, but not these headphones! The unique shape of the ear cups fully surrounds my ears and can be worn comfortably for hours. The sound quality is incredible, and I love how the controls are incorporated into the right-side outer ear cup. And how you turn them off and on by rotating the ear cups! Well worth the purchase

Headphones are comfortable. Much better fidelity than a set of wired $100 headphones that I had been using. About same fidelity as similar expensive pair of Sony headphones that my wife uses. Noise cancelling works great for the typical household noises. I’ve not tried them on an airplane yet. Use of headphones and the built-in microphone work well with Zoom meetings. Iphone and ipad tablet connect easily. Very pleased.

Great sound, easy set up, long battery life are the best features of this headset. It can truly pull it out of the box and go. The only instructions you need to get familiar with are the finger swipe directions you can perform on the right ear pad. The only flaw I have found is sometimes you will get a little static sound in one of your ears pads. It can easily be corrected by tilting your head in a little different direction which can be annoying. Over all I'm happy with this purchase.

Chose this headphone after comparing with the Sony 1000x and Bose QuietComfort 35. Felt better built , with excellent sound quality and very practical touch controls. Only small gripe would be The Captune App only works with limited sources , not streaming services like Amazon Music etc. Otherwise highly recommend!

So I've only have these for a month or so, but the sound quality, comfort, build quality and features are fantastic thus far. I'm about to take them on a plane soon and will report back on longer term use and noise cancelling. I can say at this point that the app is pretty poor. The user interface is fine, but overall functionality is not smooth at all. I'll just stick to my apps as is. Will update when possible.

Most comparisons between the higher end bluetooth headphones focus on the Bose QC-35, the Sony WH1000XM2, and this Sennheiser PXC550. Frankly, all are amazing products and you cannot go wrong with any of them. The differences are not that much, so your choice should be mostly on what you value more and which headphone fits you better. In general, the Bose has better sound cancelling, the Sony supports more protocols and has more features, and the Sennheiser has a more sophisticated sound. Again, these are all quite subjective remarks, but somewhat reflect what you read in the reviews. In my case, I went with the Sennheiser because it fits me very well and the sound is truer to the source (IMHO), which is important for someone who is learning piano and enjoys a wide gamut of musical genres. My wife has the Bose and she couldn't be happier, so you should definitely compare them in the store. My local Best Buy did not have the Sennheiser in the demo, but I tried both the Bose and the Sony and bought the Sennheiser anyways. I would have returned them immediately if I had any doubt on whether they were better for me than the other two. After more than a month of continuous use, I am really happy that I chose them.

Bought a pair of 4.5HD for myself at Xmas time and absolutely loved them. When these went on sale I jumped on them faster than a cheetah jumps on a gazelle. I have staple music I listen to in order to test speakers. California Love by Tupac and Dr. Dre, Star Wars Throne Room Theme and Dick Donner Superman Theme by John Williams. It sounded like I was in the studio with Dre and Pac, walking down the center aisle with Luke, Han and Chewy and flying with Superman. The sound is really crisp and clean. It was like my ears were drinking the worlds best beer. The noise canceling is excellent! Definitely worth every penny I paid! And I got them on sale for 200$ so that was a win/win for me. Bluetooth operation was as easy as turning a key. Linked up to my PC in seconds.

After testing most of the offerings from Best Buy, I can say that these headsets produce the finest quality sound with some of the best noise canceling available today. The only gripe I have with them is the loudness could be a bit better. Though this is probably good for ones ears in the long term. The build quality is very good (better) when compared to the Sony and Bose offerings. Very comfortable over the ears.

These headphones are amazing performance wise. There are some downsides to these headphones. The charging takes way longer than it should, however these headphones last quiet a while for them to die. It may be the charger that has issues. The noise cancelling slider helps drown out many disruptive noises.

The depth from the driver and earcups is just enough to make comfortable for extended use. Sound signature is slightly towards bass and the EQ button on the headphones is welcome. Touch controls are okay but I'd prefer buttons. I can't use the noise cancelling as it causes cabin pressure and makes me need to pop my ears, too bad otherwise very good.

Solid noise canceling, large enough cups to fit my ears, good fit without being tight. I have used it for around the house and jogging and it worked for both. The app is handy because it allowed me to adjust things that other headphones would require me to live with.

I love the sound quality of these. Batter life has been great. Compared these to Bose and Sony for a long time before I pulled the trigger. I am not disappointed in choosing the Sennheisers. I regularly use these while doing yard work and on travel.

I bought an older model of this brand of headphones for work and while out shopping recently I wanted to get a pair for home. These were on sale and knowing how well the ones I had worked at work, I decided to purchase them. I’m happy I did! They fit very comfortably and do a great job of cancelling out outside noises. I highly recommend these.
