This is a great vacuum. I only ever purchased Hoover Platnium before this, but wanted to try a Shark. I'm glad I did. This is my new favorite! The vacuum is very lightweight, has great suction, very comparable to the Hoover Platinum. I also like that it has the tool attachments and lift away for easier vacuuming of stairs, something the Hoover never had. Overall, very pleased with this vacuum.

We've had brand new carpet for about two months on our second floor of the house. No shoes are allowed on the second floor. With having carpet, its a most to have a vacuum. Yes it took us a while to buy one. This Shark vacuum suction power its AMAZING! Made our carpet look super clean like if it was installed the same day. Good transiting from carpet to hardflooring. Also its easy to take apart and clean which its a PLUS+. Love Love Love.

The duo clean brush on the vacuum is perfect for hard surfaces, it engages all the dust and debris on the floor and gets it pulled up by the vacuum. The itself works great across the board, but the brush roll gets a lot of hair and strings tangled in it so you have to take the time to remove it from the roll. Not hard at all because the roll is easy to access and clean by hand. Overall a great vacuum to replace the one that broke.

Extremely pleased with this vacuumed. Its small but mighty! I have a dog and 2 cats and it picked up their fur immediately from the carpet and couch! Comes apart easily for many different uses and lightweight. I use it on my carpet, stairs, hardwood floors, mattress and couch. Strongly recommend!

I vacuum almost daily with my old vacuum and the first time I used my new SHARK I sucked up so much stuff that was missed I was disgusted. It is light, handles very easily, and I love the light on the front. I've told everyone about this vacuum!

Very light and nimble. Never had a vac that pivots like this . What a difference in going around furniture and changing directions. And the roller for wood and ceramic is the 1st vac to ever suck in kitty litter instead of spreading it around.

I really like this vacuum. For a long time I only purchased Hoover with the retractable cord for convenience. But it just wasn’t doing the job to tackle 4 cats and 2 humans. First I wanted a compact vacuum that had lights. I knew if I was going compact I’d have to deal with wrapping the cord. Second I wanted more control of how I used my vacuum. This you can release a wand 2 ways and control the power on the handle. And this pivots nicely, gets close to the wall, fits in tight areas. It even fits under our bed. The wand release can be a bit stiff and tricky but I like that I have multiple options. It’s also not heavy for being a powerful machine. One drawback is my hair is 18” long and after one month I have to take it apart to clean the brushes. I’ve had to do this with other vacuums every once and a while. I brush my hair in the bathroom exclusively. I the the brushes being so much smaller than most standard vacuums is where I think I’m having this specific issue. The container does fill up fast too because it’s smaller than other standard vacuums I’ve had. But it is one of the better ones. I’ll probably purchase a shark again, but a little more research for what I specifically need.

I love this vacuum! It does a great job cleaning. It is lightweight so maneuvering it is super easy. I like how quiet it is. I did not want to spend this kind of money but it was money well spent.

I've had a Kirby for the almost 10 years but I'm totally sold on this Shark! It's extremely lightweight in comparison, and super easy to transition from hard floors to carpet to hand tools and back.

Great vacuum for getting pet hair cleaned up. It is light and has strong suction. One of the better choices in this price point.

Got this vacuum to upgrade from my 60 dollar vacuum. All i gotta say is this thing sicks literally. It actually take dog and cat hair off better with its attachment then one of the vacuum powered brushes. It cleans all the front of vacuum with the dual brush. Another nice this is when you switch from carpet to hardwood is the brushs still spins but spins at 1/4 speed. The only drawback is the brush gets tangled with hair. But will say its easy to clean when you remove the cover above it. Otherwize 100% recommended

Works great! It's easy to use and lightweight. I have a husky that sheds constantly. Only downer and the reason why I only gave it four stars is because of the roller. The hair does get stuck and is hard to take out. I only use the "hose".

Pros: I like how light the vacuum is. The carpet to hardwood floor option is nice Suction is great Picks up dog & cat hair pretty well Cons: The cleaning path is very small. I don't care for the attachments as much as the older model. I also wish the hose was longer. The brush attachment is worthless. The suction control is in a very bad place. It slides over several times while vacuuming. I wish it had the side suction It doesn't take much hair/thread to get wrapped around the roller, then it stops working.

I have had Hoover vacuums for the last 20 years, but I have heard so many great things about Sharks that I decided I would give one a try. And wow. It picks up everything! And man is it light! I can very comfortably carry the entire thing across the house without any issue, and I have nerve damage in my hands and fingers, so carrying heavy objects is very difficult. Picking this up is a piece of cake! The roller does amazingly well on my hard floors. Im so happy I purchased this!

We bought this vacuum to replace an 8 year old Shark that had lost its oomph. This one has the special brush out front that pulls in spilled cereal. Parents with little ones will really appreciate that. We’re so happy with its suction power, onboard tools, and ease of use. Our biggest complaint is that the the power cord is about 5 feet shorter than our last one, so we can’t cover the whole first floor from one plug. Minor.

This vacuum is a great cleaning tool. The suction is marvelous, and it is not heavy and easy to maneuver.

Love the vacuum. It is lightweight and very versatile. Great for carpet, stairs and hardwood.

Love this Shark sweeper for ease of use,weight and power .Easily handles two large shedding dogs

I have more hard surfaces than carpet and was looking for a vacuum that did well dfor those conditions. My old Shark was great on carpets, but only good on hard floors. This DuoClean model is perfect. I did not need to spend extra for a powered lift-a-way, but lie the lift-a-way feature very much. Super performance on both hard surfaces and carpet plus the ability to lift it off and use it like a canister adds to it's versatility.

So purchasing a up right vacuum is not cheap, but if you go cheap you get a piece of junk. I did a fair amount of research. Consumer reports my go to had many of the shark vacuums rated at the top of the list. This one came in at a lower price than many and performs like one at the top of the list. Easy to use. rugs and wood floors. It makes the chore of vacuuming quick and almost pleasant. :)
