I bought it for the price and reputation. The picture is outstanding, the sound quite good, inputs & outputs a little sparce although there are 4 HDTV . I appreciate the size and weight reduction as I have limited space for a TV. Picture in digital is so good that I do not have it on HD right now in my guest bedroom. I am very pleased with the quality of it and the picture is beautiful.

bought this TV for used in my bedroom. i just use is as a monitor for the cable box and my ps3 so i really didn't need the smart tv functionality that would come on the next model up, i use my ps3 for that so i opted to save a few $. the picture is great and sounds is amazing for what it is, i don't think i have had the level above 20 since hooking it up. remember that I'm using this in a bedroom so that could be different in a larger room.

i was looking for a simple non-wifi / smart TV. i didn't need to look far after finding this on Best Buy's site. 299.99 is a very reasonable price for a 1080p 40inch. the minimal design is wat i wanted and excellent Picture Quality is icing on the cake for me. AMAZING TV.

I am normally a Panasonic guy and have several of their plasmas. I needed a flatscreen for my grandson's room and came across this as an open box special. I couldn't beat the price and after getting it up I am very happy with the picture as well. It's a basic bo frills model but it looks great and hopefully it has a long life.

TV was easy to set up-looks good, and is just the right size for my small living room. Great picture and sound.

I wanted to upgrade the bedroom tv.A 40" size was the largest I could fit.Researched 39"-40" sizes under 400$.I concluded KDL40380B is a good choice.Excellent picture quality after tweaking adjustments.The sound is less so,voices are'nt always clear.Still a great set for the price.

I have several sony products and been pleased with the performance and "ease of use" of them all. Setup was simple and picture quality is very good for a TV that was in the 350-400 price range.

I don't need a lot of bells and whistles. This probably has more than I need. This TV delivers a great picture. I can always count on Sony.

Very pleased with the KDL40R380B. Great picture and easy set up. Great price! Matched it with the Sony Blue Ray Disc Player S3200 and the Sony HTXT1 Home Theatre System. Wonderful!

I picked this up on Black Friday for $299, excellent picture. I did not want a smart TV, as I have Roku. Easy to set up and use, so far I have nothing bad to say about it.

Have Sony products throughout home. Easy to hook up and instant set up with the satellite. Up and running in less than 5 minutes. Picture quality outstanding

Perfect size with good refresh rate and 1080p HD. Just what I needed. Was the perfect balance between affordable while still getting a nice not too big TV.

I was pleased that I didn't need to buy any additional equipment. I've had the experience before where, with the thin profile TVs, there isn't enough case room to accommodate functional speakers, meaning I had to spend another hundred or two for sound bars/sound bases. This is not my primary TV but the sound is way beyond 'adequate" for my purposes. The picture quality and price are excellent as well. I'm thankful the Best Buy salesman steered me to this one.

I bought my Sony TV on Christmas Eve brought it home and had it set up and playing within 15 minutes. The picture quality is great well worth the expense.
