For the the price i paid which was 150.00 down from 249.90 it was a no brainer sounds great bought 2 if you are on a budget these are great mid level speakers not the top of the line but not cheap either.

Not only did they help me get a better deal qith my premium plus membership but that saved me even more money than i expected. Very happy and very satisfied with everything best buy has to offer. Theyve helped with my smart phones, stereo systems and much more.

Jeremiah came and hooked up my surround sound and suggested the Sony subwoofer that I needed and it absolutely rocks

The sound is pretty decent for this price range. It feels sturdy and much better than my previous subwoofer. I've owned several sony subwoofers in the past, although this replaced another brand that failed in 2 years. I am impressed with the subtle improvements with this model over the old sony subwoofers I had. The controls are similar, with a normal/reverse switch, volume, cutoff frequency, and power button. There's also an auto power save feature. My only complaint is that the power save is too aggressive. It will turn off quickly with no audio and there's a delay before it kicks back on. I think sony should consider making the power save delay a bit longer on future designs. Be sure to set the normal/reverse button correctly for your receiver. My Yamaha receiver has a menu setting for normal or reverse also, so just make sure they match. It shipped in reverse by default.

Unexpectedly had to replace a 12 year old sub (I know) and this was a great value. It booms!

I got a Sony system n my old 1 went bad. This 1 did the job. Sound great, better than my old 1 .

I bought this sub for my son and he loves it. Its not too big physically but it packs a punch!

Love Sony products and this Subwoofer doesn't disappoint. Using it with an Onkyo 7.2 home theater. Replaced an Original Onkyo that was larger in size but this Sony is smaller /lighter and way better is loudness and dept of Bass.I highly recommend this product.

I bought this sub for my family room AV set up. It's a good sized room about 13 feet by 20 feet with a sloped ceiling that rises from 8 feet to about 12 feet. This little unit, positioned in a corner behind a recliner chair, provides plenty of bass that fills the entire room. In fact it'll bass down the room pretty intensely if that's what you're wanting to do. It's powered by a twenty-year-old Sony stereo receiver and I keep he volume on the sub at about 70% of the max . If I want to adjust that level I just adjust the sub setting on the tuner. But I rarely do. The tuner has a max volume of 30 and when set at 7 or 8 the volume for the center channel and surrounds along with the sub's bass is perfect for family movie night. Any more than 12 kicks out way more volume and power than we usually need. If you're looking for an affordable sub, with decent power, and you don't have a highly discriminating hear for sound I strongly recommend this unit. I'm very happy with it.

Bought this in June of 2022 so I had it for over a year. Been using it to add some bottom in our outdoor space. It's been under an enclosed wicker chair that sits under a canopy and is still going strong even though it's not designed for outdoor use. I have small rubber feet under it to keep it off the ground. I was surprised how good it sounds. Can't go wrong for the money.

So far, I am happy with the purchase. Was able to get this subwoofer while on sale at BB for $150 plus tax. In fact I bought two at this price. The bass sound is amazing at fraction of the price from other brands.

Love this subwoofer! Just the right amount of "boom" and the volume is not even all the way up! Sony never fails!

These subwoofer are so great in price and value. It gives muscles to your speaker specifically when you play bass or beats music. While it effect is not very obvious it generally boost the whole sound experience. Love it. It always on deals so wait for the right time to buy it.

I’m using this subwoofer with a pair of Audio Engine bookshelf speakers and an Onkyo receiver in a medium sized bedroom. The sound is full, well balanced, and capable of more volume than I would ever need. It could easily service an average-sized living room or den. I primarily listen to music including vinyl and this is great for a low-budget hi-fi setup. One small issue is that that protective felt cover was damaged during shipping and can no longer attach correctly. Fortunately, I didn’t plan on using it.

Great sub for the price. We have an open concept living room to the upstairs so lots of space to fill and under half power fills the living room and kitchen. You can feel it upstairs but it doesn't interfere with the media room sound.

I purchased this Sony Subwoofer on sale at Best Buy...got a pretty good deal for $120. I must first say, I previously owned a Sony subwoofer that I also had purchased from Best Buy years ago...My old subwoofer was much more powerful w/ deeper rich bass and the price tag was also cheaper as I only payed $100. After about 10 years the old one finally burned out. I decided to get this one, as I always trust in Sony products. The Sony - Core Series 10" is a great subwoofer in a small room... However, if using in a larger room like a big living room, then it's solid at best. The bass doesn't seem to carry rich deep bass from wall to wall in a large room, but it does a decent job. I definitely would not have payed the regular price of $240, but on sale for $120 is a pretty good buy.

I bought this sub to pair it with my brand new Sony strdh590 reciever. I already had 5.1 speaker/sub set but unfortunately my subs were not able to utilize the sub jack due to them being powered by the reciever and not a power supply. So I had them bridged with my left and right front speakers, so all audio was about the same with some bass. Not the sound I was looking for. Could not even find The proper wires to assist me in my new venture for sound. So after researching Yamaha xenon and Sony I went with the Sony because it pushed the best wattage of the other competitors in the price range. And I must say this little box rocks. And paired with the Sony strdh590 4k reciever my enjoyment of my purchase had me excited to test everything on it. I have my ps4 pro connected to it with my gaming pc. Unfortunately my games on pS4 would only scale to 1990 resolution with hdr So I ended up plugging the ps4 back directly to me tv which is a Samsung q90t Because it gives me full 3840 resultion I need for cod warzone lol. My pc however is from cyberpower pc and is able to push max 4k at 4096 playing and watching movies on this bad boy is flawless looks like your there. And am able to enjoy all dolby audio and dts sound on in including dtsx and Dolby atmos in 5.1 or 7.1 audio all my devices were all purchased from best buy and now I'm looking into purchasing to more surround sound speakers to utilize 7.1 capabilities. All on all, I am very pleased with my new rig. I definitely recommend the reciever for awesome sound.

I bought this for the garage and it sounds great. I set it up in a hurry and was disappointed the next day. I adjusted the receiver tone controls the next day and it did not disappoint with the sound. The stick on foot pads are cheap for what this cost, but the sound makes me forget about those 2 cent micro foam pieces. I listen to classic rock and blues while working in the garage and it is very enjoyable now. Bought on sale.

I did a good bit of research before purchasing this subwooofer. My intentions were to have a moderately priced one to add on to my home theater. This sub fills that need well. It's small but puts out a good sound and a good bass. Movies and music both have that pop they need. The size and design are both great, nothing too big and looks great as an addition to my current setup. One thing I couldn't find no matter the research I did; this comes with a RCA cable to connect and it's own power cable. If you're looking for a starter sub for a good price, easy setup, and good sound this is it!
