Sony rx10 Mark 3 fantastic I have all three RX 10. The mark 3 lens justiies the cost. Smooth zoom. Amazly sharp. The Automatic feature if you understand what camera is going to do. Will simply make highly detailed and sharp image even cropping. This camera has full manual control. The 120 frame recording mode in high definition is without rolling shutter. The thing I don't like about the camera is the lens when looking toward the Sun or a light, otherwise fantastic amazing piece of machinery truely professional gear. Even though it's not.

The combination of the larger Carl Zeiss lens and 1" stacked CMOS sensor makes for excellent image quality, better than my previous RX10. The extra optical zoom range up to 600mm is what I had been waiting for from Sony. So far, I feel pretty good about spending the extra $500 over the RX10 price. All in all, the RX10III is an amazing piece of technology. I am able to carry it in a small shoulder/waist bag and don't have to buy or carrry extra lens.

    Outstanding "Bridge" camera

Sony does it better. Take a good product RX10 ii and replace the 24-200mm reach with an longer lens and you get a 24-600 mega zoom Zeis lens on an already better then most "Bridge" camera. Stills, movie, slo-mo this one does it all and does it very very good. The only problem are the menu's which is the Bain if all Sony cameras. I came from the RX100 series 1 so I was familiar with the confusion. I simply downloaded a Kindle Guide book for the RX10 ii and it eased the pain. This is an expensive peice but will replace my Nikon DSLR collection on vacation or it becomes my everyday walk around go to peice. Used the twelve month same as cash Bedt Buy option and I'm off to the races, out to the ranch, or off to the church!

I am a professional photographer that uses Nikon DSLRs and was looking for a bridge camera that rivals my Nikon in quality and functionality. Image quality is top notch and having a 24-600mm zoom is wonderful. Low light capability and functionality is better with the DSLR but not by much. I highly recommend the RX10 iii!

Great camera. A little heavy but when you see the pictures it's worth it. Fast & accurate focus! I'm just totally happy with the camera. It's worth th price if you want good photos!

I recently took this on a vacation and was blown away by the lens and camera in general. I have an A6000 and love it, but for travel, a camera with a one lens does it all, amazing.

I cannot say enough positive things about this well thought-out product by Sony. I have owned all 3 generations of the RX10 line, and currently own the A7S II and the A7R II with both the 24-70 and 24-200 G lenses. I find myself resorting to the RX10 III for most applications (family events, kids' school events, and kids' musical recitals) because the 24-600mm equiv lens on this camera is unbelievable when it comes to a balance of image quality and zoom. It is much heavier and bulkier than the RX10 II, but the difference is significant in sharpness and all around image quality. The diff is NOT simply the zoom range -- while you lose the built-in ND filters and some portability due to weight and size, the quality of image is very noticeably better (try comparing photos and videos of text and signs, for example). 4K video is very well implemented, non-existent rolling shutter effects, there are no overheating issues due to the size of the body, incredible zoom. Especially as a "video-camera" after removing the 30 min recording limit via the "Open Memories Tweak" app (google it). I have been recommending this camera to those friends and family who need a relatively serious camera for both photos and videos when they do not care to lug around several lenses while going to a kids' event. You can't go wrong with this one - total winner.

What a great camera, finally an all in one that I don't feel like I am missing anything. I owned the original RX10, which is wonderful as well, but I wanted a longer zoom. I then tried the Panasonic FZ1000, and liked the extended zoom to 400mm equiv. but the image quality severely lacked compared side by side with the RX10. Maybe my FZ1000 had a bad lens or something, but it was much worse than the RX10. I then moved to Sony a6000 and then a7II and left the all in one camera behind. Then I had a big trip coming up where I knew I wanted a longer zoom. I played with the idea of an adapted 150-600mm, but that's crazy huge. Though it would likely be better image quality, especially in low light, I really didn't want to be changing lenses and dragging lots of gear. Then I was lucky enough to find an in stock RX10III and picked it up. So glad I did, it was the perfect camera for the trip. Image quality is great, that lens is amazing. it was great that I could go from 24mm to 600mm without thinking about it. For travel, this was perfect for me. It is a bit big and heavy for a day to day camera for me, but I love the versatility. If you can afford it and want above 200mm, go for it. If you only need to 200mm, the original RX10 or RX10II are cheaper. The Panasonic FZ1000 is not bad for the price, but I preferred the Sony. Nikon has an interesting option coming fall 2016. It might be a great option when it comes out, though not as bright a lens at 600mm. For today, summer 2016, this is the camera to beat.

Lots of controls on separate dials, like exposure compensation, mean you dont have to dive into submenus to make settings. Image quality is excellent and the lens is sharp, even with "Clear Zoom" I'll upload some images after I down sample them. Unexpected advantage with the rapid frame rate helps capture birds in flight.

My wife loves this camera which means I love this camera, lol! Seriously, I bought this as a gift for her and she loves the features and convenience, all in one camera and lense. I used it today for the first time and the zoom lense is awesome. I only used about 2/3rds of its ability and was impressed as it did more than I ever have been able to do before. I would of maxed out a normal zoom lense and not be able to get the shots this one did. A long time ago, I remember lugging multiple lenses and needing to switch them a lot, but no more. That might be the only downside though as the lense is fixed and can't be removed. We are just starting to use it and am impressed so far. It compliments our active family lifestyle perfectly.

I was able to purchase this via open box. I got a good deal. So my current set up is this camera plus the RX 100V. Expensive yes, worth it I hope so. The RX 10m3 is a very powerful zoom camera. I use it for my daughters soccer games. I can zoom in very close and hit the slow motion for a great view from the side lines. If you priced a body and zeiss lens, 24-600mm you would be in the thousands. You get it all with the rx10. I have my zoom and rx100 v pocket power camera.

Great camera. Not the quality of a digital SLR but that's not why I purchased it. For a 1-inch sensor, image quality is great in good light, and good at moderate ISOs. I especially like the range of 24-600mm in a single lens, and the fact that it has an attached lens means no dust on the sensor from changing lenses.

This 3rd generation of the Sony RX10, also known as the RX10m3 or RX10 III, has a super-sharp fast Zeiss f/2.4 - f/4 lens with 35mm equivalent range of 24mm wide angle through powerful 600mm telephoto. Shoots excellent quality stills and 4k video. I decided to get rid of my larger camera and 5 interchangeable lenses in favor of this single camera / lens solution. I am very pleased with the results so far. Excellent samples of shots taken with this camera can be found online including the dpreview.com website.

Got sick and tired of switching lens on my previous DSLR and was looking for a one device to carry around without compromise on quality and function. This one does it all, I'm not a problem but not a beginner either. The build quality of this camera is impressive, the functionality is well thought and the photos it provides are amazing

The lens is superb, I am amazed at the closeups and 600mm zoom works so well for birding. You would have to spend a lot more money to get this quality lens in another camera. The only downside for me is the menu is a little confusing and it doesn't have a touch screen. But I would buy it again.

Pictures from this camera are sharp as a tack. I am used to the menu because I owned a Sony RX10 and this one is just as good, better because of the long zoom. I have accidentally dropped it once and no problem--still works smooth as silk. A few glitches here and there but nothing serious. Lovely camera.

bigger and heavier than the first two models of the rx10. not as inconspicuous, nor as easily carried as they are. but smaller than DSLRs and most interchangeable lens cameras. great lens, with great zoom range, from ultra wide angle to very long telephoto. very capable, and with great image quality - can make sharp, beautiful photos.
